Heartfelt Thanks

Hi bloggers!  Silver, dusty rose and white are the colours for this one.  I started by embossing a piece of dusty rose card from my stash with the Butterfly Dreams embossing folder.  I used Pearl Lustre gilding polish over the top to highlight the butterflies.  I cut the Atlantic Ocean Border twice out of coconut white card and backed it with silver mirror card.  I accented them with pearls and added mounting foam to raise them for dimension and attached them to the edges of the card. I cut the Megan die twice out of white card.  I backed it with dusty rose card on one and cut the centre out.    I cut the inside die and backed it with vellum and reseated it in the same opening.  I cut the second Megan die in half , adding the centre die to it and adding each half to show on the top and bottom of the focal element.   I stamped my sentiment and seated it in the centre of the card, adding a small flower as an accent.  White, silver and dusty rose mats and layers were added to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  10. Morning Sue. A drab, grey, wet miserable start to the day but as usually you bring the sunshine into our lives by giving us another gorgeous sample. I reach for the Butterfly Dreams folders whenever my card calls for a delicate background as butterflies symbolise many things and have shown up at many occasions when least expected. Unfortunately I don't have this borders and to be honest I've never been one for art deco but the more I see these dies on your samples and the more I see our fb buddies use them on their beautiful work, the more I'm liking them (dare I sneak them into the list somewhere, hmmm deception isn't my thing) ! But I'm glad I have the Megan die as she's sooo pretty, and many a card has been admired when I've used her.
We know how 'jittery' you get when you launch your new collections, and nothing we say will stop that, but after reading over 400+ messages per day you must be more than thrilled about how this one was received, the best and most useful thing about this year's festive dies is value for money not only their beauty, but to think a lot of them are all year rounders is amazing, you must be the only designer that has done that, all other festive dies on the market are one season use but you give us more (wonder how long it will take for other companies to 'follow your lead') and how annoying is that for us to see, do they not have their own ideas without taking other's ? Grrr and they launch them before your collections are shown to the world so it looks like they are the first to ever think like this - HA but we know different lol.
So now I'm excited to see all the new samples and get a new board started on pinterest ☺
I will love n leave you with my usual hugs for a lovely day xx

  42. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a really lovely card today Sue, I wish I could get the gilding polish right when I do embossing folders, mine always seems to go everywhere I am too heavy handed, perhaps you could show me what I am doing wrong when I come to Ally Pally in September, yes I have booked my ticket and my wonderful d-I-l is taking me in the car with my buggy.

Oh Sue I sent off my email to you and then forgot to put the winning die in the subject field so sent another email straight afterwards, sorry, silly me.

I was overjoyed to be picked out as a winner of one of the festive collection dies, it is such an honour believe me Sue you don't realise what this means to us Wilsonettes. Congratulations to every winner especially our lovely regulars and all new bloggers, I do hope you stay with Sue and comment on her blog everyday, you will get to realise how much work she puts into the blog and also how much you will benefit from it too. Yes Beverly it was such a lovely surprise.

Pam I reiterate all you have said. How did you get on at the Drs.

Special hugs to everyone that needs them.Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  54. Beautiful card, love that embossing folder. I bet you slept a little easier after such a wonderful reception to your festive die launch. We all know how gorgeous your dies are, but there is also something else that sets it aside from other designers, that is the price. Your dies are such good value for money, with other dies companies wanting extreme amounts. We all know craft has gone up in price like everything else but some companies have got greedy(in my opinion) Sue, you give us great dies, great prices, great versatility, and the inspiration to be better crafters and for that I will always be truly grateful. Wow its the longest post I have ever written so I'm off to have breakfast and then hubby and I are going craft shopping Yaye .Congrats to all who won. Hugs xxx Snowy Owl 36

  104. Hello Sue,
Such a pretty card done in dusky rose. Nice to see the Megan die again, love the added touch of vellum behind the centre. I never think to cut my dies in half and use them behind the main die but it is really effective and I must try to remember to do it Thank you Sue.

Karen hope your hubby will soon be fit and well again.

Dear friends, we celebrated today all June’s b-day, including Kid’s b-day who turned 27 this month. Our “family” is complete and the life is back to normal. Now is time to make plans for our coming long weekend. On Saturday, July 1st is Canada day. Most people will get the following Monday off, including my boys and I. We might have a wet weekend but I care less. I have three days to relax and to spend time with my family. It's all that matters.

    Have a great day everyone!
