Interlaced Frame Background

Hello there my crafty friends!  Don't you just love it when you can create a beautiful background with just a single die!  I know I do!  The Gemma die set allows you to tuck the edges under each other to create a lovely background.

The finished dimensions are 8" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Lovely card Sue, just gorgeous.
Elaine, hope Andrew gets some good news from his scan, good that Helens back is improving.. You sound in much better spirits, all of this talk about scooters, wheelies and speed is doing you good.
Maureen, good news I think, you have made so much progress. 2 months will mean you are better for the next 9 meet up, what tales you will have to tell. Have to say your mischievous sense of humour stayed intact even though the hip didn't.
Donita, hope your return to work went well, vacations pass so quickly. Glad you have found somewhere local to buy your dies.
Glad to hear Yvonne is okay, how is Laine, she has been missing a while now, hope all is okay.
Patricia, my friend had a CV2 in the sixties, I didn't drive then and I thought she was so cool and trendy, I loved her little car, it too was yellow, think that was the most popular colour at the time.
Hugs to all, especially our missing and poorly friends, and their carers too.

  11. Morning Sue. I'm so intrigued as to how you put this together so will watch your tutorial as soon as I'm on my own in about 15 mins. It's a very detailed sample and probably a lot busier than most of your samples, but if we all liked and made the same kind of cards then how boring would the craft world be ?

  15. Dear Sue and Her Fabulous Band of Crafters,

What a pretty card! And so clever that the Gemmas interlock.

My future mother-in-law liked her Mother's Day card. I'll call it a flower sampler with the Shadow Box lattice trellis for a background.

Dozing off so I'll quit there.

    Love,

  76. Hello Sue,
Great video showing exactly how to make this card.
Pam, hope you are o.k. and work is not too much of a drag. Can I say that there is no way I'd miss another get together, I'd have to be in a coma - some might say "not much change there then!!"
Alimecca, oh good gracious I had no idea. What have you done?
Elaine, I'll keep everything crossed for the next 6 weeks. Listen, we'll be going so fast it won't matter if you are standing, sitting or lying down - we'll all end up in a heap anyway ha ha.
Diane, Happy Anniversary - I hope you've had a lovely day.
Maria, I hope you are well, you didn't say if the needles worked.
PP phoned me this afternoon. Oh what a bore but I answered the phone before I realised it was her lol. She's absolutely fine and missing the blog like crazy. She still hasn't received her tablet and is going to chase it up. Her mam fell in Newcastle last week (some people just have to copy me!) but she fell in the Grainger Market (for anyone who knows Ncle) and was looked after royally before going to A & E. She's fractured her arm and has a plaster fitted. I'm not sure if it's this weekend that her parents are visiting her. She's going to be speaking the Laine in the next few days and will tell her that she's missed as people are asking after her.
I've been to the supermarket this morning with my new set of wheels. I tried to obstruct as many people as I could but because I'm quite slow, they dodged me easily ha ha.
Love to all who are poorly or lonely and their carers.

  89. Hello Sue,
I shall try again! We have been having Internet trouble and I commented yesterday and didn't realise immediately it had gone into the wide blue yonder! Same this morning!
Yesterday's card wasn't for me really although I admired the techniques used and the work which went into it! I don't often say that but I like to be honest.
Today's I like and was amazed what can be done with one Die! Love the colours and as usual the flowers.
Im sending up a parcel of Washi tapes to Maureen so that she can adorn the scooter/vehicle! She passed her test today and is now roadworthy!
I'm sure PP feels a lot better after you told her we weren't missing her Maureen!
Elaine and Norah! I'm trying to come up with something for your wheels as well! You are all mad! You do know that! Lol!!
Elaine - watch out for Norah on her scooter - she will be a bad influence!!
Love to all. Oh nearly forgot - love the wheels Pam!! I haven't had a sports car for years!

Elaine – Hugs for you all.
Donita – Lucky you! Two times lucky: you found a local store that carries SW’s dies and your future mother-in-law liked your card.
