Tropical Collection

Good morning bloggers!  We are starting today with the new Tropical Collection.  I had a lot of fun working on this one and I hope you will like the results. This post is showcasing the new Message In A Bottle die set and the new Flip Flops.  Both sets are shown here and you can see that there is also a new treat cup shape of the bottle!  The die matches the bottle shape for the perfect shaker card and also comes with an outline as well as a sentiment.  The Flip Flops comes in two sizes and can be easily put together for that 3D look to add to any of your tropical cards.  You will see a lot of these sets in the coming months as they were so much fun to use, I could hardly put them down! LOL  Leave a comment to be entered into the drawing to win one of them.   Tell me what you think of them, how would you use them!  The next post is scheduled for 12 noon today.  I hope to see you back here then for more of the new Tropical Collection!  All for now, Sue x

  6. Hola Sue. Ok so it's not hello from a tropical country but I've not been that lucky, but I'm starting to feel the sun on my back and the sand between my toes looking at this fun set and I bet you are making 'our Sam' even more excited about her looming travels when she see's this fun collection (or part of) ☺ another fantastic idea from the best.
What a wonderful first day Sue. Over 800 hits in one day ☺ if only this could happen every day, I know there are multiple visits from us per day at launch, but it shows that you could get out of 8th position and back to the number one spot where you belong ! Thank you for a great first day and look forward to the wonderful treats you have for us today xxx

  11. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, now this is what I call a really cool card, although I have ordered loads of the new collection I was unsure about the message in a bottle ones, well after seeing this sample, it looks like I will be ordering this set too - oh my poor bank balance, but you are worth it. When I saw the flip flops front of the dies I first thought of a wishbone.... and the bottle I thought of combining that with the retail therapy dies and the new perfume dies to do a scene like a bubble bath.....that is what popped into my head anyway, how daft is that.

Pam how are you feeling, hope on the mend, and I reiterate everything you have said.

I am off to the dentist this morning, might have to have a tooth out, so not looking forward to that one little bit.

Catch up later when I get back as I am so looking forward to the next samples.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  23. Hello Sue,

"Time In A Bottle" is what comes to mind seeing this card. It reminds me of the many times I spent at the beach when life was all about having fun with out a worry in the world. Those were the days. The new treat bottle is delightful and fun. And the flip flops - now who can go to the beach without them.

Cannot wait to see what other delights you have in store for us.

They are so fun and I am so excited to see you working your magic with them x
See, day 2 and I'm here again in the middle of the night. It was not planned but I was woken at 5.30 by a cat fight which must have been right outside the house because it was so loud. It is such a horrible noise. I just could not get back to sleep.
Anyway George bought me a coffee because he was getting ready for work so here I am - despite what Laine had to say about the matter. Pam - Laine had no right to drag you into our disagreement. She has no scruples, but you don't need me to tell you that do you??!! x
Day 2 of this fabulous launch has begun with a card which is bright and summery - I hope this is how today's weather will be x
Happy thoughts and oodles of love to everyone x

  44. Morning Sue, How innovative is this set of dies !! A fabulous card, and I can see me using it as a 'message in a bottle' card, could be used for males with a little treasure map inside and could be used also for an 'I love you' message for Valentine's etc. I love this !! I love all your die sets that can be used for 'shaker' cards as I make lots and lots of these cards.

  101. Dear Sue,

How many other die companies have a working gumball machine? None! How many have a bottle treat cup? None! (I'm guessing.)(I've sure never seen one.)

This bottle is the gumball machine of the April die launch.

At first I wasn't very impressed, and maybe the name threw me off. How much use could there be for a message in a bottle?

But now I see. New Year's, wedding, anniversary, men's, bon voyage, congratulations, cookout or tailgate party invitation, Father's Day (soda color, with label saying World's Best Pop) Lay it sideways and put a sailboat inside. We're going to need a stamp set of labels and a ship for the bottle! Whoever said catsup or steak sauce bottle, that was clever! And I like the idea of a treasure map. In that case, the top could be cut off the mouth of the treat cup to get the map inside. It's not like it has to be sealed because you're not putting glitter in.

I can see the flip-flops being useful, too.

Rats, I was hoping to sit this one out. Now I want them.

    Low bat. Gotta go.

    Love,
Donita in Rhode Island, (to distinguish me from all the other Donitas)

I also love how sand and little shells and a cocktail umbrella aren't a fraction as expensive as glitter or beads

  132. Good afternoon lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a delightful couple of die sets, I'm not at all surprised that you have had so much fun playing with them because the possibilities and ideas for them are endless. As a lapsed Scrapbooker, these dies would prove invaluable in suitably themed pages....particularly love the cute sandals. So much inspiration and ideas from fellow bloggers today, that must really please you Sue, it proves just how utterly fabulous your dies are.

  179. Hi Sue,

As soon as I saw the bottle die my ideas were flowing. So much so, I had to buy it straight away. Not bought the other set of the pair.

I don't make many shaker cards, though I will still use this die for other occasions.

One could add a champagne label for anniversary cards and fill the bottle with heart sequins or similar.

Also one could fill it with numbers for birthday cards ...

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter and Crafty weekend.

Thanks Sue for all your inspirations.

    Love Dorothy
