Finishing Touches

Hi bloggers!  Here we are at the penultimate post of the blog launch!  I am absolutely loving this new set, the Succulent Garden.  Shown here, when these dies are cut out of felt, they look just like succulents!  However, the really exciting thing about this set is the dual nature of them.  When you use these dies out of cardstock and cut them, they make beautiful flowers.  You can hardly tell that they are the same die!  You have seen them cut out of cardstock during this blog launch too.  If you go back to the Indonesian Collection post with the Borders and Corners, you will see them there used as a flower (did you guess that?)  Leave a comment if you like this set and would love a chance at winning it in the drawing.  The final post of the blog launch will be online today at 6pm.  I really hope you can come back by the blog then.  All for now, Sue x

  13. Gorgeous card Sue and don't those succulent plants look so lush. I had looked at these and did not know quite what to make of them, I knew you would point out the right direction and no, I didn't guess the flowers on the Indonesian were these dies. How clever are you.
Dragonsnap, you are right, they knew why I was transferred to that office purely on health grounds and we are only talking 8 days over 12 months, but it is practically a hanging offence.
Yvonne, hope Percy us going to be okay, it is a very pigeonesque name. Lol I went back to work this morning.

What a pretty card! It is very effective using the dies this way. I had to go back to the Indonesian Collection post with the Borders and Corners to see these flowers cut out of cardstock. Wow! So different! Now I can say I love the Succulent Garden dies and I want this set.

So sad this is the penultimate post of the blog launch! It's been a fantastic couple of days but all good things must come to an end, unfortunately.

These flowers are scrumptious, and although I saw them on the earlier sample I didn't realise that they were these flowers, just goes to show how I go around with my eyes shut.

  37. Dear Sue,

What a great value this set is! Four different flowers in three sizes each. If someone could only afford one set of flowers, this would be the one! You have shown so many techniques for flowers that this one set could create a hundred different looks. Or 50 anyway.

I guess that just leaves the leaves and Sweet William, unless they went by while I was dozing.

Pam, you are undoubtedly such a good worker that they should be grateful for whatever you can give them. If the managers think your absence creates headaches for him, just wait until they have to deal with someone who lacks your experience, conscientiousness and attention to detail.

Wishing great homes for all the dies that Sue is giving away.

Thank you, Sue, for your remarkable generosity.

    Love,

  41. Hi Sue, a brilliant card and I love the Succulent Garden dies. My rockery looks a little bit like your card as it is covered in succulents, mainly the one like a little rosette whose name escapes me. I too had to go back to the Indonesian Collection post to see these flowers cut out of cardstock and I certainly would not have guessed. Has anyone got any room left on their shopping lists? I shall be writing on the desk and the walls very soon :-)

  52. Ohh yes, more flowers to love and adore. I probably always sound like I'm gushing or going OTT with my comments but at least it shows how I really feel about your designs. I may not be as knowledgeable with the frames, tags and backgrounds which is why I'm going back to basics to learn to 'get to know' my dies better and make the most of them, but at least I have your designer floral and foliage dies to help try and express my enjoyment of card crafting so these little beauties along with what we've already seen and what is yet to come at 6 will be another God send for me. So thank you for ALL your florna and flora dies, and if it wasn't for you there'd be no followers facebook group, through which I've learnt so much where I'm going wrong, and will now start from scratch and at some point be a better crafter than I am today. 78. Hi Sue and everyone

I do like your card Sue, but I'm afraid I don't like the felt. I have an allergy to wool, and so probably associate felt with wool, even though it is not always made from this. It makes me cringe, so sorry. The dies are still fab though, but I would have to stick to card. I wonder if funky foam would work?
Just shows again the versatility of your dies though Sue, as most people will love to cut felt.

  79. Sue I think your middle name should be versatile. Your dies always have more than one way to use them, which makes them such good value. It's difficult to imagine that these are the same flowers as on the Indonesian card.
