  2. Lovely card Sue, it's gorgeous. Love that background.
    Congratulations to lucky Sarah.
Pat, hope Sarah's review goes well in April. I bet she was thrilled with her pink sparkly hearing aid. I hope it helps her all round as she is such a little heroine and I know she loves her girly colours and sparkle.
June, you have such an array of craft workshops where you are, I'd love that.
Elaine, hope Andrew and Helen have a great weekend, it's promised to be sunny here but it still feels cold.
The twin sitting is going well so far, they are being very attentive, making sure I have a cup of tea, the right tv channel is on, craft iof course, and I'm knitting my Twiddlemuffs. They don't do this at my house . Kelly didn't know what Bryan had planned till they got to Newcastke airport, a trip to Belfast and a visit to the Titanic Exhibition. She was so excited, she is enthralled with the Titanic story, so he got that one so right.
Maria, good to hear your eyes are improving, true about seeing the dust but if you wear sunglasses to protect your eyes you won't see the dust then.
Have a great weekend everyone, hugs to all including missing and poorly friends.

  9. Morning Sue. Tell me, how do you get Pixie Powders sooo wrong ?! I can't get the pump action right, I either don't pump enough, too much or completely flood the poor Pixies till they are swimming for their life, it really hurts my fingers to use the pump action spritzers. I'm so glad you have the know how as it's such a pleasure to watch you create such gorgeous works of art. The Butterfly folder has to be a favourite go to of mine, and the Cascading Butterfly die is so versatile and has a hundred and one uses. I just love today's sample and 'know how' tutorial.
Many congratulations to Sarah. What a lovely start to your day enjoy your personal gift from Sue.
Have a lovely day whatever your plans are Sue. Sending love thanks and many hugs your way xxx

  14. Morning Sue,
Love pixie powders, but haven't used them on black card. After seeing your beautiful card today, I will give it a try. I just seem to get in such a mess with things like this and when I use glue it has a mind of its own and goes everywhere except where I need it, thank goodness for Grime Boss. Think I am too impatient really. Have a great weekend.

Not alot of time to watch video at moment but will catch up later. 31. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a lovely card today, you can never go wrong with butterflies can you. Will watch the video later.

Pam, I run a craft group every Wednesday morning from 9-12 in our local church hall, there are about 14 of us. Then I go to an all day workshop once a month and a 10-1 workshop once a month (both in a community hall - run by a craft company) other than that there is nothing round here which is why I started my own. I must admit though I get lots of inspiration from my favourite blogs, Hochanda, Facebook, Pinterest and friends, there is a wealth of knowledge out there. Enjoy the twin sitting.

    Congratulations to Sarah.

Dragonsnap - my youngest son had chickenpox twice, it is surprisingly common.

I reiterate everything Pam has said.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Dragonsnap2, my youngest daughter also caught chickenpox at an early age from her elder siblings. She didn't get it again but did suffer terribly from shingles at the age of seven. Poor Lola, hope it's not too bad for her and her siblings.

Comfort blanket hugs for all our missing friends and for those in pain or discomfort.

Pam, glad the twin sitting, twiddlemuffs etc going well - sounds as though you're having a little granny pampering? Echoing again.
Elaine, I too had a wee explosion of mirth re the tackle comment but didn't mention it as the last thing to do is to encourage Laine!! PP we need you up to speed.
Always enjoy the mad comments, thanka for the smiles - inc Carmen, Donita, Saba and her ropes, Myra, Maria etc. Missing Maureen and Norah.
To those interested, Cloud sailed through his op + a little attention to teeth and war wounds. He lets me smooth him now and is a sucker for As Good As It Looks. Mr P, as always, prepared for the inevitable. He's a gem. At the vet's today (one follow up, one blood test) it was Puppy Time - baby Labs, Charlie a Westie babe, a corgi x min choc poodle and a Yorkie x poodle. Think maybe too many -oodles being bred, but so so cute. Hate being dogless, but usually a good 'fix' to be had at the vet's.

  91. Hello Sue,
I love this card! I love the cascading butterflies and the outline piece is such a great finishing touch but then you knew it would be!! I love the Pixie Powders and love playing with them. I don't know if I'm doing something very wrong or not but I tape my card to my protective paper with removable tape. It stops the card curling up when wet. I then leave it there to dry. It works for me anyway! A small fine mister is best too. You can see I have learned the hard way!! I too love butterflies and this set is gorgeous! Thanks Sue for a beautiful card and helpful video.
Congratulations Sarah - you will love your card!
Pam - I'm so pleased you are being well looked after! It's all the chat with the grandchildren I enjoy too!
It's quiet here today - my voice has gone! Grandchildren and parents who called thought my squeak was very funny! Once they knew I was ok!! It's been a glorious day. I hope it's lovely where Andrew and Helen are , Elaine!
Poor little Lola! Hopefully she won't get chicken pox badly.
Pat L - Sarah is a real Star and must be such a blessing to her parents.
Laine - they are getting at you! Saba didn't help at all! Mind you that's nothing new! Please don't be upset! PP - will be back soon to upset you properly! Lol!

  100. Hello Sue,
What an amazing video, thank you so very much for all your helpful tips about the pixie powders, you looked like you were having such fun tapping away and being a mad scientist ( I'm married to one by the way!). I'm also totally addicted to pixie powders but wouldn't have believed what stunning effects you can get using them on black card. I know what I'm doing tomorrow! Love your cascading butterflies. Fabulous card Sue, Thank you. Ps every time you just throw the waste bits under your craft table it makes me giggle!

    Congratulations Sarah, enjoy your card.
Tressa I'm with you, my pearls ping off all over the place if I try Sue's scissor method. Don't know how she does it!
Pat L, Sarah is a brave little star.
"P" I do hope Cloud gets to stay. I agree those "Oodles are everywhere, but gorgeous, as are the Poos. Saw a Cockerpoo the other day and it melted my heart.
Hilary hope things soon get better for you and Hubby.
Crewe Trish I am so very very sorry, sending you a big hug.
Elaine the "tackle" had me spluttering too.
Myra, its time you stopped stirring it, Laine knows I love her really so don't say any more. Ha ha , you can't, you've lost your voice, yipeee.
    Love and hugs for all

  101. Hi Sue,

It is a beautiful card ... I love the Cascading Butterflies die. The outline piece is a great finishing touch. When I watch the video I realized that the butterflies have different design which is great. I think that the background is a little bit too dark compare with those delicate white butterflies. However you have left some butterflies from the pixie powders background so you can make another card with dark butterflies on a white embossed background.
Thank you so much for all your helpful tips about the pixie powders if I will ever want to try this technique.

    Congratulations Sarah, enjoy your card!

Pam – Glad you enjoy your weekend.
Dragonsnap2 – Poor baby Lola! I hope she’s the last in line. Sending her warm wishes for a speedy recovery.
Hillary - I hope your partner will get better soon.
‘P’in Wales- You have a big heart but Mr.P’s is even bigger I think. Hope Cloud will recover nicely (I really like his name).
Myra – You are helping a lot:) I think Saba needs some attention?!
Crew Trish – I am so sorry for your brother. You have a lot on your plate right now. Wishing you to have the strength to get thru all this.

    Hugs for everyone,
Still a newbie to Craft / Not longer the newest and the only across the pond Wilsonette
