Hello my crafty friends! I was quite pleased with this Garden Shadow Box card, which uses items from several different die sets. I started by cutting the In The Garden Shadow Box out of milk card and adding mounting foam to the back. I embossed another piece of milk card with the Climbing Vines embossing folder and used it as my backing behind the Shadow Box. I cut the Family Tree die in brown, added a couple of the small birds from the set in the tree along with the tyre swing and a couple of piles of leaves next to the tree. I cut the larger spaces in the box so they made one large opening and then allowed the tree to climb out of the box onto the edge of the shadow box. I filled the three small remaining opening with the birdhouse, clay pot and garden tools. I used the Garden Fence and Gate die set to cut a long length of fence to cover the entire length of the card. The card was completed with a simple milk card mat and layer. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size.
As soon as I finish doing all the drawings, the winners of the latest die release sets will be posted later on today sometime so don't forget to check back later this afternoon! All for now, Sue x

Tina, hope Owens first day goes well. It is a new start for him. Hugs to you both.

Dragonsnap, enjoy your holiday, you will miss the family at this precious time and they will miss you too. Have a great time though.

Good morning, Sue and Wilsonettes,
ReplyDeleteThis card looks fun.
Hope everyone has a good Monday.
We might visit the musical instrument museum here. The founder of Target stores built it for $250 million.
One thing about a jewelry show is that you can spend more money than at a papercrafting convention, and come home with a smaller bag. Also, you can't drive a tanzanite ring to work.
My days are numbered here in sunny Arizona and it's cold at home, but I'm looking forward to connecting back up with my crafting supplies.
Especially with Valentine's Day coming up.
Best to everyone.

Adding "The Stunning Climbing Vines Embossing Folder" The Detail Is So Striking And Looks Extremely
Outstanding As Your Backing Behind Your "Shodow Box Card"

Couple Of "Sweet Birds" From The Same Die Set, Along With "The Tyre Swing" A Couple Of Bundles Of Leaves
That Have Fallen, I Love How "The Tree" Comes Out Of Its Box, Then Adding All The Fabulous Accessories

Good afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card Sue and that tyre just makes me laugh but its because i oh so remember how many times the rope broke and i landed in the burn. The rope broke because my cousin had cut it to fray it abit because he thought he was being funny. Not as funny as my mum was when she scudded his backside and gave him a lecture the length of your arm on danger, hee hee. We lived between Fallin and the Throsk in an old farmhouse in the middle of the fields with the Admiralty Depot where my daddy worked was behind us fence off by big iron railings. My cousins would come along with their friends from Fallin to play with us as we had the best hide and seek places in the world.Mum would tell Jim he wasn't to go out that gate, and neither he would, he went over it after flinging his trike over first and then peddle hell for leather down the dirt track that we laughing called a road. The kids at Throsk were always bored even though they had toys galore and a playpark to play in, but they didn't have the imagination that went along with playing with the simplest of things. Our favourite time of the year was autumn when the farmer had cut the straw and bailed it up for us to make houses and castles with. Mum used to go off her head at us as the farmers labourer was as blind as a bat and had knocked down the telegraph poles on umpteen occasions because he didn't see it, so if he couldn't see that great thing sticking out of the ground, he was hardly likely to see totie us. Thank you Sue for a lovely memory trip through your tyre in the tree. I don't have these dies but i will find something to make it up and send it to my rotten(hee) cousin and bring back memories for him and in actual fact he is one of my number one protectors along with his 3 brothers who would do anything for me.
Well we have a gorgeous sunny day here at Glenochil earning it it's Costa status again although pictures can be deceiving as it is a tad cold out. My beautiful hills are so imposing against the background of the sky today showing up all it's beautiful images that live on them that your imagination can go wild with what it perceives to be on them. In the valley between two there is a bracken bush the shape looks like a little monkey playing a mandolin or banjo. It's amazing the sights you see when you are this close/far away from them because to many they are just hills. Before the rotten elctricity board came to work on the pylons and wires at the other end of the park in our village, from mum's house the trees were shaped like a big poodle dog that when in full leaveage he looked towards the main road, but in the winter time, he lay looking across the park at our house with this sad look on his face. Then the electricity board cut off his tail and between them and the new people in the end house, they lopped off his head. It was just one of those amazing sights that mother nature does every now and then to make people stop and have another look at her beautiful paintings.
Hugs to all my lovely wilsonette friends that need, could do with or just want one, and i have my fingers crossed for Owen in his new job,
Love and crafty hugs
