Hi bloggers! I thought I would show off another Stamp To Die For that matching the latest release Azores die set. I stamped the Wild Tulips Stamp To Die For stamp on white card and cut it out with the outside die from the Azores set. I used Distress Markers to colour the image. I cut a wide strip of Duck Egg Blue card and stamped the stamp randomly all around the edge using a clear Perfect Medium pad just to add a bit of interest to the card (it is difficult to see in any of my pictures, but it adds a watermark look to the edges.) I put a peach card thin mat behind it to bring out the colours in the stamped image. I cut a wider piece of white card and added a strip of double sided tape down each side of the card. I sprinkled it with Iced Snow for a bit of bling. I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the Stitched Flags and I made a peach Chrysanthemum and seated it at the end of the flag with leaves. The card was finished with white, peach and duck egg blue mats with paper piercing. The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 7 1/2" in size.
The winner of the Wednesday Card Giveaway (from before the die launch) is:

ReplyDeleteStunning simply stunning. Thank you for all you do Sue, hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteDear Sue,
ReplyDeleteWelcome back to everyday life after the big release. Just wondering what flower you could possibly do next. Love the tulips on this stamp and visualized coloring them with Copics. It so nice how your chrysanthemum ties right in with the tulips because of the color.
Congratulations, Jenny!
Enjoy your Thursday, everybody.
Love,
Donita
Morning Sue, another beautiful card. Congratulations Jenny enjoy.

Morning Due. What a wonderful exciting few days you've just given us, talk about thinking outside of the box - you certainly know how to do that, and it continues with the gorgeous Stamps To Die for, I have a couple of the stamps to go with the flower dies, but that's the end of my collection. Some have the knack of colouring and shading, 'our Sam' does some beautiful work, but I don't think I'd do them justice, I've always loved colouring as a child but this takes skill, skill I don't have unfortunately but you make everything spring to life with just a few pens/crayons. I recently bought some normal pencil crayons with the view to invest in a few more stamps, so maybe I should give it more thought.
ReplyDeleteI love this springtime sample the colours are really uplifting and make you smile ☺ I bet our lucky Jenny will have the biggest smile when she reads this post, congratulations Jenny - enjoy.
sending warm hugs to you Sue for a lovely day xxx
The wild tulips have been on my radar since i first saw them appear on this gorgeous stamp, now thinking they have jumped to my wish list lol of must haves, gorgeous! x
ReplyDeleteHi Sue

Wonderful card Sue. I love the way you've stamped the image on the background. Congratulations again on such an exciting launch. I think this was the best yet, such a variety.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Jenny. Enjoy your card.
I've only seen pictures of the baby so far but she is adorable and doesn't look like a newborn. Her mother never did either. Both are doing well and we hope to have them home either today or tomorrow. My daughter had a lung removed aged 8 so they tend to keep her in a bit longer to make sure there's no problem. Her other two children, aged 2 and 4, have been to see them and think she's gorgeous too. I hope that lasts when she comes home! Luckily they only live next door to us so we are often around to help and the proud daddy is taking three weeks off work.. We go on holiday next week. It was booked before we knew about the baby, after some Canadian friends suggested we meet up. We haven't seen them for three years so mixed emotions now about the excitement of seeing them and getting some sunshine but also not wanting to leave mother and baby behind. Thank goodness for Skype.
Sorry, I've rambled on a bit today.
Crafty hugs to all.

I only have a couple of stamps to match dies and really don't use them often enough. I must get them out, so that I can justify buying this one! i am not a colourist, but Tim Holtz distress markers are surprisingly easy to use and give a lovely effect. X

ReplyDeleteMorning Sue and all Wilsonettes, like everyone else I must first thank you for such a fantastic launch of your new dies and stamps, how you come up with these designs I never know, do you realise the talent you have and how much we all value you.
ReplyDeleteThis card today is so lovely, and I mean that, I am not a stamper very often but I have been to a couple of workshops lately and been using a stamping tool (looks a bit like a CD case), and it has made it so much easier for me so I have been doing a little more, this stamp is going to encourage me to try it. The colours you have used really do make it come to life.
Dragonsnap2 - so pleased all is going well with your new granddaughter and hope she and Mum can come home either today or tomorrow, it is so lovely that you only live next door and can be there for all of them, nice that Dad is taking 3 weeks off too, but you are having a holiday so enjoy it.

Good afternoon lovely Sue and her crafty crew!
ReplyDeleteBack to normality now for the blog and what a beautiful card with which to kick us off.....i have said many times in the past that i really love your stamping and colouring, its so expertly done and really brings the image to life. I also appreciate how you have made the effort to co ordinate the co;ours used in the tulip design with the background papers. What a nice touch watermarking the stamp as a background, it adds interest and texture rather than having a flat colour. No card would be complete in my world without a bit of bling, just enough to satisfy the magpies amongst us:-) The Crysanthamum finishes off the card beautifully in that springlike peachy orange, just lovely.
Don't be alarmed, i know that it is unusual for me to comment before the sun goes down but i had an hour or so to kill before i have to leave for my Caci Facial....yes, the one that gives me a face as peachy as Kylies bottom:-).....and i thought what better time to spend than with my lovelies on Sues blog. Like Patricia, i welcome a return to normality and the comments being more expressive, i really enjoy hearing the gossip from everyone's lives....it replaces that empty void in my own life and distracts me from the rigours of daytime tv:-)
Pam, Maureen and Myra, please accept my sincere apologies for sparking your curiosity unnecessarily but Yvonne had been teasing me all day with the promise of wonderful news but wouldn't tell me what it actually was:-( i was at my wits end I mean I'm not generally known for my nosiness but she sounded so excited that I couldn't help but wonder. Well she left me in suspense until i was going to bed before texting me her news........I'm so sorry, but i cant give anything away as yet because I'm sure that she would like to be the one to tell you all, so you will have to suffer a little bit longer I'm afraid:-( But lets just say that I'm well jealous!
Dragonsnap, how lovely that you live so close to your daughter and grandchildren, very handy for babysitting duties I'm sure. Enjoy your trip to Canada though, what part will you be visiting?
Tina, how are you today, hope there's light at the end of that tunnel or comfort to be had from friends, family and memories. Hugs to you honeyxxx
Elaine, there's definitely light at the end of Andrews tunnel, how appropriate that the next chapter begins for him in Spring, lets hope he and Helen have a wonderful 2017 and beyond:-)
Hugs to Lynda, hope you are wellxxx
Yvonne, go on, put everyone out of their misery you tease!:-)
Wishing all things good to my long suffering besties Frances, Maureen,Myra,Tracy,P, Pat, Pam, Theresa, Maria, Norah, June and Wheely plus endless cuddles to all who need onexxxx
Love and crafty hugs,
Laine1972xxxxx
BEAUTIFUL card!
ReplyDeleteI love that chrysanthemum die. Definitely a must have. Lovely card, Sue.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon Sue and the Wilsonettes,
ReplyDeleteSue you say that your pictures don't show up the watermarking very well but those last two, you can see it no problem at all. I want to say that this is a lovely "plain2 card but i hope you know what i mean flower as sometimes simplicity with just some colouring is all it takes to make a card stunning or beautiful and the colours in this are so soft and soothing. It shows how even plain simple cards can have a look of loveliness all of their own. Thank you flower for giving us such inspiration that can fire up our imagination but also show us that we sometimes don't need a lot, one die can make it all on it's own. I hope that you are having even a small in take of breath before starting again.
Congratulations Jenny on winning the beautiful Wednesday card, i hope that it brings you new inspired inspiration and you have dusted its new home all ready for it arriving.
Maureen flower, did you notice that Myra ACTUALLY came in earlier than you one day,now that must be a first, lol(i'll be getting my ears boxed when she sees me next, hee hee hee).
P in Wales, oh flower i am so sorry that you have lost such a great lady, but she deserves to rest now, 104 WOW what a great age to live to and see so much over all those 11 decades of her life. I bet she was one that could tell such interesting stories from time before you. I use to love listening to my great, great, great aunt as the stories she could tell being born in the year 1900 just 11 days younger than the queen mother, but i could listen for hours as she was such a font of such interesting times and history. RIP dear Auntie, you deserve it flower.
Tina flower, i hope that you are ok flower, i know it's hard and takes time to get used to not doing some things but it gets easier and being honest that's all i can say about it, as it doesn't get any better. I did a stupid thing just the other week when i bought my daddy's favourite, a pineapple cake....he's been gone 9 years and i bought him a pineapple cake, so once i berated myself on being so stupid, gret and laughed at myself i gave it to wee Harry. As i say it gets easier but not better flower so hugs are on their way to you and Owen.
Hugs coming down to you Elaine and your lovely son Andrew, i hope he is seeing the end of his chemo in sight and that he is a bit better.
Love and crafty hugs to all my lovely wilsonette friends that need, could do with or just want, they are yours,

A beautiful card. I can see the watermark, and it is a lovely element to incorporate into one's design. Your colors and layers are great. I especially like the Wild Tulip stamp. Good job coloring in the Wild Tulip stamp design.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stamps die and card Sue
ReplyDeleteAnother fab card from you, love this stamp, it makes the diecut frame very interesting!
ReplyDeleteHello Sue,
ReplyDeleteIt's me again! Don't say , Oh No!!! Lol!
I popped back as I was convinced I'd typed watercolour instead of watermark! I was right I did and I'm sorry ! I did mean watermark! We all make mistakes! Lol!
By the way Norah, you are living danfgerously!! Ha ha!
Laine - thanks so much for raising the suspense stakes even higher! With friends like you! Lol!

Stunning card today and really love the colour combo - very fresh.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, phew! I don't know about you but I am glad to get back to normality today. Although I have thoroughly enjoyed the last week I am worn out and I don't know how you do it. I love, love today's card, the colours, design, stamping and dies are all gorgeous. It is the little things that you think of such as the watermarked card that lifts your cards above all others. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteJenny - Congratulations on being last week's Wednesday Winner. Enjoy your lovely card.
Laine - I hope you don't suffer any repercussions from commenting so early :-) Brodie is certainly a big chap and I think that Pippin is going the same way. Misty's Dreamies are now on ration!

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteOh this is such a beautiful card. I think the colours are stunning. Your new Chrysanthemum die is a complete must have and I have it on the lust list along with all the others - it's a very long list x
I am so sorry that I missed the last day of the launch. I could not believe it. I had a completely unexpectedly manic day and just did not have time and then was at a friends last night having my hair done. When I got home I was exhausted and collapsed into bed.
I have just reviewed yesterdays amazing cards and I have to say Sue you really did out do yourself in the grand finale of January's launch. The finishing touches are always such a winner in my eyes and boy have you pulled out all the stops. The cascading butterfly really is pure joy.
Thank you Sue for your continued generosity and big heart. It is a delight to be part of this Wilsonettes family especially with you as our 'Commander in Chief'. I do hope you enjoyed reading all the positive feedback during the launch. You so deserve it x
So are u dying to know what my good news is? I know that Laine has been hinting but allowed me to spill my joyful beans to create full impact x
Well it would appear that I have inherited a little money from an old family friend. I received the original letter about this back in October and sent off the documents and ID that they needed. Anyway had forgotten all about it until my mum had a phonecall at the weekend from someone saying that they had not received anything from me.
After a little digging it would appear that the original company dealing with the matter has gone under. So yesterday I spent the day making and receiving phonecalls (long ones) to establish where my documentation could have disappeared to and also who I could resend the info to as the house had been sold and the money was ready and waiting.
It would appear that as there were no siblings, he never married and there were no children a large amount was donated to charity and then there were 9 of us who were to inherit a share of what was left. I had presumed that the boys and I could have a couple of nice meals out when we go on holiday to the Isle of Wight in April and was incredibly touched x
Well yesterday I found out that the amount is considerably more than a couple of meals out. It is in fact £10,000. I am completely gobsmacked. Can you believe it?
Now how many dies could I buy with that?? Lol. I will admit that was the first thing to cross my mind but then decided that although I may treat myself to a couple of precious metal there are so many pressing matters to attend to. Our boiler is on its last legs so that's the first thing on the list. Our bathroom is in desperate need of revamp. And the kitchen is in serious need of some TLC.
So there you have it, my good news. It is a very odd feeling as unfortunately a friend of ours is no longer with us but my mum told me that it was obviously what Bryan wanted so enjoy it x
OK I now need to decide which of Sues new dies are going to be part of my collection. I think the cascading butterflies have got to be top of my list but who knows what else may jump into my basket x
Sending everybody happy thoughts and lots of love - especially all of my lovely blog besties and of course Laine x
Special hugs to Tina T, Nanna Tina and Elaine x
Take care and crafty hugs

Take care everyone, Jess xx
Evening Sue yet again a delightful card. I really like the stamps to die for and have more than a few.
ReplyDeleteDonna
Hello Sue,
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious card today. Makes me think that Spring is definitely coming although that old groundhog saw his shadow this morning so I guess it's still six more weeks of winder. The stamp is lovely and the coloring is spot on. I especially like the way you have done the subtle watermark on the strip behind the stamped die cut, it really provides a nice effect. I have a few of your stamps but just never seem to use them, except for the stamps for your flowers. I'm just going to have to do it and see what happens.
I hope that you were happy with your release and that it was successful for you. I know I certainly enjoyed it. I bet you are already on to the next release.

Great card, love the stamp.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue
ReplyDeleteLovely card today. I especially love the wild tulip stamp and your colouring. I must say I loved your new launch. As with other launches, I've thought to myself, hmmm I'm not to sure whether I'm keen on that Die. However, once you show us how these dies can look it's an entirely different matter. It never fails to amaze me how different these can look once cut. Thank you for all you do for us . Congratulations to the comment game winner.
Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteLove the water mark background, very delicate.

Hi Sue. Your card today is really beautiful !!! I love the look of your Wild Tulip stamp. I think it is very pretty, especially the way you have coloured it in. Really clever shading Sue. You have made the image look fantastic !!! I am just no good at colouring in. I keep meaning to buy myself a colouring dvd tutorial. I would not have thought to put Duck egg blue and peach cardstock together as a colour combo but it looks a great match !!! Also I think your watermark idea is just perfect in creating a lovely subtle background for this gorgeous Wild Tulip stamp. I am loving the stitched flag dies ( I must get this one !!!) and also your fab new Chrysanthemum flower !!! Thank you. Sending you lots of love from Tres x x x
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Jenny for winning the fab Wednesday card giveaway love from Tres x x x

Beautofully done, love the stamp and gorgeous colours
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. This is a beautiful stamp, and yes you can see the watermark. I have used this technique on backgrounds too, it brings everything together. A superb launch Sue, many congratulations on all your hard work. If I could afford them all I would be a happy bunny, but I will have to make do with half now and half later LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day!
Deborah H.
What a delightful card. Beautiful colours and colouring and how effective that narrow peach strip and the water mark are at tying everything together.
ReplyDeleteJenny, congratulations on your card win.
'P' in Wales, thank you for your kind thoughts last week.

Hi sue
ReplyDeleteLove this card, I remember i used to buy a lot of your matching stamp and dies even way back when you were doing the just rite sets but I could never get a good impression due to my hands being so bad ( carpel tunnel) but I recently bought a stamping tool and it's changed everything for me I can now use my stamps again so I'm going to get them all out again and give them a go. Thank you for the inspiration
All the best Pauline ( freedom99)
