Jan 2017 Die Launch

Hello there my crafty friends!  Welcome to the blog launch for the first die release of 2017!  I am particularly excited about this launch as there are some very different ideas, including some new die categories!  We have included a new category called Kinetics and this is the very first die in the category.  First up today is the new Working Candy Machine! Yes it really does work, you just turn the handle and your candy comes out!   I have shown it here in it's simplest form so you can get the idea that I had in mind and I am also including a link to the video I made that shows exactly how easy it is to put together!  Just click on this link to watch it:  https://youtu.be/O2EH7wE_qjM
This is a really fun idea that can be adapted for any occasion and I will be showing you many more ideas over the coming months!  You just turn the handle and the candy comes out!  It is refillable and can be used with a wide variety of different candies .  The best thing is that it is so simple to assemble too, but looks like it took you forever and a day! LOL   Who wouldn't love a version of this card!
As always, please leave a comment to be entered into the drawing to win this die set, but please make sure that your name is very distinctive, add a city or an alias (ie, Jill the crafting goddess or Anne E in Glasgow).  Each die set will be given away and I will announce the winners on Monday Feb. 6th.  The next post will be up at 12 noon today!  All for now, Sue x

  1. Wonderful start to your launch Sue, love the card from this fab die. Mamma must be so proud of her new babies.
Tina, my thoughts are with you on this very sad day as you say goodbye to your lovely Peter. Take consolation that he is no longer suffering and will once again be your strong Peter, forever in your heart. Big hugs for you and Owen, Au Revoir Peter.
Elaine, it is so good to hear Andrew is doing better, poor Helen needs the hug today.
Hugs and best wishes to all, especially missing friends, NannaTina, thinking of you.

  9. LOL !! Good morning clever lady. What on earth made you think of this wonderful idea ? It made me chuckle I have to say. After watching your tutorial - thank you for adding the link, it may take Andy's help for the fiddly bits due to my numb finger tips, but it's absolutely brill and a fantastic excuse to keep sweets/candy in the house (just for this purpose you understand) 😉 Have a great day watching these new collections sell out cuz I'm sure they will. What a start to the launch, bring it on xxx

  14. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, this is the biggest wow ever, how can you design and make a card which is a candy machine, well I have got to see the video on this one, I am so amazed, how do you do it Sue, your talents are extraordinary, unique, this is got to be the die set of the year. What have you done to me, I know my granddaughter will absolutely love a card made with this, yes , yes, yes.

Tina and Owen, my thoughts are with you today, special hugs to you.xx

    Elaine how is Andrew doing.

TIP OF THE DAY: Rub your anti-static bag (or even a little bit of talc) onto both sides of your cutting plates no matter which machine you have, then when you cut out your dies - especially the ones with lots of bits - you will find that they don't cling to the plates but fall away easily.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  49. Yes, we're going to LOVE this collection! It delivers the WOW! factor we're always striving for in our cards, and it's hard to wow a kid with a card. I'll add my voice to the chorus: This is so much fun! How long have you been working on this new technology? You have just raised card-making to a whole new level. Now if you could just invent a card that could print and dispense money!
I can see this filled with message-heart candies for Valentine's Day, pastel M&Ms for Easter and candy corn for Halloween.
Congratulations to you, Sue, as the inventor, to the lucky winner and to all of us who can make so much fun happen for so many with this collection.
It's kind of inspired because even though it's a die that can be used over and over, it helps the papercrafting stores because we have to keep buying the treat cups, handles and cores that make it work.
    What an interesting development!
And more excitement to come, with only 6 hours to wait instead of 24.
    Woohoo!
Love to everyone today, especially Tina and Owen. Thanks, June, for the anti-static tip for our cutting plates.
    Yours in gumball happiness,

Oh what memories of childhood does this gumball machine bring back to me today, mainly of a twein brother trying to get more out it than he was due with his penny and some how he always managed it. Thank you flower for bringing back funny memories of my brother even if he was a pain at times because he was so sneaky. This die will bring back things to other people i'm sure as well. Have a good week flower although i think you could be quite tired by the end of it.
