  1. Very beautiful die set and the card is stunning. This collection just amazes me with its versatility.
I've been asked to design and make some Sympathy cards for an Ancestory Guild to send when they lose a member. I think I know which dies I am going to use, just waiting to see it demo'd by Sue.
Elaine, I hope Andrew is feeling a little stronger. My hugs for you both.
Tina, a daily hug for you too.
Norah your talents know no bounds, you are a very clever lady.
Daily hugs and best wishes to all especially poorly and missing friends.

  63. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, another gorgeous card, this die reminds me of a round diamond with all the sparkles radiating out of it, isn't it amazing what people see when they first look at something. Anyway as you say a beautiful focal element to any card and the corners are just right on here too.

Pam how wonderful to get a commission to design those cards, it is part of life that people need sympathy cards and if you look around the shops they are so bland and are not made from the heart which all of crafters hand made cards are, so enjoy making them, if you can let us see a picture of them.

Special hugs to Tina T and Owen, Elaine, Andrew and Hellen, 'P in wales', Dragonsnap2, Myra, Maureen, Yvonne PP and Theresa G xxx

  141. Good morning lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Well i just made it in time to congratulate you on another fabulous post before the next one goes live....trying to make an extra special effort today but i have to go out soon to a hair appointment and then to M&S so my next visits will be a little later than planned:-(
I love all of your Frames and Tags dies and this beauty is no exception. They are just so versatile and picturesque....love the layout of this splendid card it really enhances the beauty of Olivia, the framing is perfect and the Atlantic borders add just the right amount of accent without detracting from the focal die. Looking forward with bated breath for our next little lady to arrive at 12pm......
Maureen & Myra, you really are a hoot ladies and always cheer me up....being "friends" with Yvonne can create a real downer but you both put a smile back on my face:-) You appear to have fully recovered now from the ordeal of meeting Yvonne face to face Maureen, she can be so draining and definitely po faced as you so rightly observed....it took me until Christmas to fully recover after my own trip South:-)
Pam, i would really love to see the sympathy cards you create, what a lovely thing to do for a great organisation, good luck, i would feel daunted by the prospect having never done a sympathy card before.
Elaine, sorry to hear Andrew is struggling, thankfully the treatment is working and he doesn't have many sessions to go. Hugsxxx
Tina, thinking of you each and every day. Hugsxxx
Yvonne, bet the boys have left you a mountain of washing and tidying to do:-( Chin up and enjoy what's left of the launch and don't push yourself too far too soon. Hope to speak soonxxx
Extra hugs to P, Pat, Norah, June, Maria, Lynda, Theresa, Tracy, Frances, Deb C and all my blog buddiesxxx

    Crafty love and hugs

This die looks to me like one of those concertina toppers you put in the centre of your card, but this is so much easier as there is no scorjng and gluing!
I love the 'art deco' feel of your card too!

  190. Good evening Sue and the Wilsonettes,
Sorry i'm so late in today Sue but i haven't known what a seat is for all day as i have had little master Fox since 8:00 this morning and his daddy has just picked him up at 17:40 there tonight as he has had a tough shift(awh, what a shame), at least he has seen a seat 4 times today which was more than i got looking after his son who has been in at everything and anything that he could. The wee monkey pulled my stitches off my knitting needles for the 2nd wee bolero set that i am making for my very special baby niece. He has played in and out the dusty bluebells through my airers that i am drying the washing on i don't know how many times today and playing keek(hide and seek), twisting my washing all up in knots and bringing them crashing to the ground. I am so glad to see him go home with his daddy as i am shattered with him and trying to clear up after him, but peace reigns serenely once more, ah hhhaaaaa.
This card looks like a sparkling golden sunny day with the sun rays spanning across to the four corners of the card. I do like to see gold with an ivory/cream contrast as it softens it up and takes away the brightness of the gold. It reminds me off a clock that my Nana Kikke had that had the rays of gold with wooden arrow sort of shaped heads on them and they just splayed out as if into infinity. Now since this was a clock in the 70s and it was up until the day her house was emptied, i am quite sure a lot of my blog chums will know the clock i am talking about, oh and did Nana not think she was modern. The rest of the house has antimacassers, little display cabinets that had been on the go in the 40s and brasses, so as you can see she was really modern and with it....not, oh and her crocheted swans doilies and the flower doilies that went underneath her vases so that they wouldn't mark the furniture. It was a tea trolly with brass around it and wee wobbley wheels that went in all different directions than where they were suppose to go. So yes this card brings my imagination to life again and memories of days gone bye. Thank you flower for a lovely trip casued by a beautiful card made by a stunning die.
Oh Pam, what an accolade and testement to your workmanship because that is indeed an honour but it's a pity what the occasion is that your talent is required. It is the one card i really struggle to make but that's just me being silly i suppose. Flower i'm an ok knitter and crocheter but its because of my extremely talented Mum that i am gifted in that way. Mum knew a lot of crafts and passed them onto me a) to help her finish off patients work and b) because why have a dog and bark yourself was her motto. Mum made sure that i was a one woman crafting machine over the years but we made so much together and she had exacting standards so it has made me a nightmare about what i find acceptable and i just can't help myself as for her it was just as easy to do it right the first time as it was to do it wrong and have to redo it again. Yes my wee Mum was a one off that they broke the mould of, lol.
Well sending hugs to Tina and Owen, still in my thoughts flower, Elaine and Andrew, i hope that you are feeling a bit better Andrew and that your treatment will soon be finished and you can start to live again, and to all my other Wilsonettes that need, want or could do with them,
    love and crafty hugs
    Norah (Glenochil Village)
