Hi bloggers! I have a really sweet Christmas card as this week's giveaway. I am a wreath lover and the Pine Twigs were just calling out to me to make a wreath with them! I started the card with a piece of coconut white card that I embossed with the Nordic Tiles embossing folder to add a bit of texture to the background. I cut the Ornate Holly Framed Noel die in green and cut an edge of it away to use as a border. Above the border I cut the Pine Twigs in three shades of green card (from my stash) and glued them into a circular wreath shape. I made six of the smallest poinsettias from the Poinsettia Additions set out of red and added them around the wreath with small pearls in their centres. I stamped a sentiment and cut it out with the Pierced Flag die set and added it across the wreath. I made a slightly larger poinsettia and added it to the centre of the border strip. I accented it with bits of Berry Sprigs cut in white. The card was completed with a white on white pierced mat and layer. The finished dimensions are 6" x 7 1/4" in size. Leave a comment to be included in the drawing for this one. The winner will be announced on Saturday's blog post. All for now, Sue x

Gorgeous Wednesday giveaway card, someone will get a special early Christmas present.
ReplyDeleteSteph, you do have a lovely son in law, how special to watch Lotties first steps, I can't believe how much time has passed since she was born.
June, you are funny, keep up the good work.
Tracey, hope the counselling went well, it is a good idea to try a small therapy group, it may help.
Elaine, I hope Andrew feels a bit better, he doesn't want to feel like this when going in for next session. Big hugs for him and you.
Tina, hope Peter is feeling stronger, sleep is a good thing, hugs for you both too.
Norah, haven't seen you for a while, hope you are okay, family too.
The river view at work is lovely, there is an old wooden galleon type ship moored opposite the building, in the summer, there are lots of swans and the Uni rowing teams go past all of the time.
Donuts, good idea to fund the retirement selling cards. Good luck with your project.
Hugs to all on this wet chilly morning.

One of my favourite cards love it Sue.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card, fresh and very striking-someone is going to be very lucky! X
Morning Sue. It really is a sweet card. I love love love the Nordic Tiles folder, it reminds me of a cosy warm jumper that needs snuggling into, or a cushion cover, it's a very modern design in knitwear or soft furnishings at this time of year, but better than that it's a terrific folder for men's cards too, along with the falling snow it was my go to folder for the background of my cards. Now all the homemade stress and panic has passed I will be able to play and experiment more like you encourage us to do with backgrounds and I'm looking forward to trying and growing in confidence - pixie powders - here I come.
ReplyDeleteIt's a real beautiful, colourful, happy giveaway this Wednesday and it will be loved by anyone that is lucky enough to be chosen to enter the W.W.C (Wednesday Winners Club) ☺

ReplyDeletePam, Your office view sounds lovely in the summer .
Tracy , i was thrilled to read your session went well .xx
June , Why is everything set so high ? seems they don't cater for the shorter person any more ,i hate having to get on the Drs couch it is so high up and not very wide either grrrrr.
Crewe Trish , Andrews treatment should end in March , he was talking to a nurse last week who seemed to think he will have 12 Treatments and not 13 as Andrew first thought , he will ask his consultant tomorrow, it will be his 6th treatment on Friday all being well , lets hope he is at the half way stage ?
Lyndas crafts, oh i know how you feel all Sues lovely new dies and i just drool and wish i could have them all.
I often wish we could get dies like Library books , just borrow and take back to exchange when we have had enough use out of them , oh well i can always dream.
Take care everyone and big hugs to all.
