  3. Beautiful card, love it. Love the Poppies.
Congratulations to Agnes, enjoy your card lucky lady.
Elaine enjoy your little break, it's sad when you have inconsiderate neighbours but please don't leave your home, go ahead and make the complaint, you have given her the opportunities to sort it out. Glad Andrew is getting out a little, he will love that.
Tina, Mick must be making such progress, he is obviously enjoying your cooking and care, that will make you feel better.
Tracey, it was good to read your post, we all knew about your inner strength, you can rest assured you did the best for your lovely Dad and he was so proud of his girls. Please take time for yourselves, help each other through these next stages and take care of yourself.
Wheelybad, good luck for Mr W on Monday, fingers and toes all crossed. Enjoy your jaunt.
Hugs to all, including Tina E, Claire and family, so much grief for one family to contend with, in my heart and thoughts.

  10. Good morning Sue. Beautiful card and I always feel that remembrance isn't just for November, I think this card would be perfect to send to a friend on a sad anniversary.
Tracy, I know that yesterday would be very difficult for you, don't feel that you have to be strong all the time, grieve as you need to and know that we are here to listen
Elaine - make the complaint, you can't let an inconsiderate person drive you out of your home.
Congratulations to Agnes on winning a Sue masterpiece. Hugs to all. Sue xxx

  14. Morning Sue. What a stunning display of poppies, they look pretty in any colour but when you see them like this they seem to take on a different meaning. I think that if nothing else, I have most of your floral dies, apart from the classic rose, but you can form, re-shape, build up as many layers as you want, but the poppy in my opinion is the only flower that looks really really different in different colour's. Beautiful sample Sue.

Have the box set up to record this afternoon as Cassie has her training group for an hour, so I shall miss the 2 - 3pm show but will catch the last hour thank goodness.
So I hope you have a great day in the studio (please don't sell too much sticky embossing powder as my little shop has run out and so he's CE towers) ! and I won't buy from anyone else other than my little craft shop.
Many congrats to Agnes on your Wednesday win, enjoy your gift. I was looking through pinterest yesterday and it's so strange to see Wednesday giveaways from way back when, and your 'older' cards have also been pinned, how your style and design has changed Sue lol.
So I send my usual hugs for the day and hope it's a good one xxx

  20. Lovely card, Sue. could use for any occasion with a change of colours - and whoopee my poppies should arrive today. Love the backing, frames, flowers, everything. Brilliant video, as ever, with you again matching your top with the card! Thank you.
Wheely - have a great day and good luck to Mr W. Cuddles to Billy for his 7th!!
Elaine, enjoy your break, glad Andrew well enough for you to feel you can go. Shame about the neighbour - as all pet pals here will know I'm a great cat lover but I would be totally mortified to think that my pets were causing any nuisance. Think I'd try another appeal first - after all, who wouldn't want to put it right rather than risk losing their pet? Hope you come back rested.
Nanna Tina - nice menu, no wonder Mick on the up!
Well done to Agnes on the card win.
    Hugs to all.

When I saw you embossing with the self adhesive sheet in the video it made me smile, because it reminded me of the time with you and Dean lol! Thanks once again for the inspiration! Loved this card when I first saw it in the launch and seeing it again just reiterates how magnificent the beautiful poppy die is. I have the poppy die and it looks absolutely adorable in whatever colour but here in red it shows it off to perfection and in all it's splendor and glory. Thanks Sue as always for sharing x
Please excuse my absence over the last 2 days. It was not due to anything but my own stupidity! (No sarcastic comments from you Laine)!!!
I managed to get my Christening card made on Wednesday using my new Ray of light die (on to that in a sec), then lost my glasses. I am not blind as a bat but computer work without them is a strain and I knew that I would be asking for trouble (and a migraine) by reading all the comments in detail and then posting my own.
Found my glasses late last night. I had tidied them away along with some craft 'stuff'. The annoying thing is that I don't usually tidy up immediately but was in such a good mood as I was so pleased with my finished card that tidy up I did!! Note to self - ignore the mess as I tend to be able to locate things much more easily when I am living with 'organised chaos'. Lol x
I don't know about you but I am my own worst critique when it comes to the cards I make. It is a rare occasion indeed that I finish a card and smile broadly as I am so pleased with it. Well I can honestly say that I was so chuffed when I had actually completed a whole card and that I really liked it. My Christening card was incredibly simple and when my friend collected it she was over the moon x
Of course the credit for this success must go to you Sue. The Ray of Light die is just something else and that is the only reason my card was such a success. Thank you Sue x
Now Sue - you know that I am not a demanding person at all and I don't ask for much. I am a quiet unassuming little wallflower and find it hard to speak my mind!!! However I have a small request.............
I would really like a set B to go with my Double Pierced Circles, Double Pierced Ovals, Double Pierced Background Rectangles and last but not least, a set B to coordinate with the Stitched Lattice Frames but with a different centre. If you could add these requests to my original list of demands I would appreciate it x
So today is the day - yippeeeeeeee!!!!!!
My diary is clear and wild horses will not keep me away from watching our Crafting Goddess. Can't wait. What a treat and I am loving the 2 hour shows. Go Sue x
Sadly I am then going to have a massive anti climax as I have made arrangements to have a catch up with Laine. Never mind - can't have it all!! Only joking, lol. We will both be watching Sue then we like to have a chat afterwards so that we can critique Sue's shows!! Only joking again - honest Sue! Laine and I get so excited (verging on hysteria) that we like to enthuse and gush about the sheer genius of our commander in chief!! And believe you me we can rhapsodize for hours. Lol x
Well I can't quite believe the fact that I am posting a comment at such an ungodly hour. I really didn't sleep too well last night so am going to attempt a little shut eye before the 2 o clock performance.
Forgive my not catching up on comments today but will spend some time reading before I comment tomorrow x
Wishing everyone a Super Saturday x
Sending love and happy thoughts to all especially Tracy, Tina, Elaine and anyone else facing challenge's and having a tough time x
    Take care

  85. Good morning Sue and the happy Wilsonettes,
I don't think a rememberance card is just for a certain time of the year Sue, i think it is for any time of the year that we have those special people to thank. This one is just right for November, for all those that we loved and that have gone or for anyone that we remember and need to thank for the smallest and the greatest reasons. I loved this card when you first showed it Sue when i think you were launching your previous set of dies and even with the black in it, i still think it is perfect. Thank you flower for the chance to be able to make a suitable card for those special days, have fun today on the show and are you going to behave or be a wee bit naughty i wonder, lol. Have a lovely day flower and take care.
Agnes in Scotland, congratulations on your lovely win this week, i hope that you enjoy it in it's pride of place.
Oh Wheely, i do hope that Mr W is successful in getting his new job on Monday flower, i will have all that i can cross crossed for him. Oh Billy, i hope that you had a lovely birthday and enjoyed lots of new toys and to get a nice new collar as well, you will be smart going out. Wheely, i hope you have a lovely day out and about with your handsome Mr W and perhaps a wee trip to the craft shop is much needed therapy ;-)
Tracy flower, you have done your very best for your beloved dad and he would be really proud of the way you have stood up to everything that life has thrown at you lately, but now you need to heal yourself flower and take all the time that it takes to do that. I'm glad flower that you took us all in your heart and mind with you yesterday and that it steeled you to be able to hold your head up high. Your sister needs to let herself heal from the inside out as well and if she has been your rock, it's nice that you could be hers as that is what sisters are for. WOW what a great amount your dad's collection raised and it will go to make a lot of people in the same situation as you were, more comfortable even if it is just to be able to talk to someone who will listen. WELL DONE DAD. Sending hugs to you flower and your family just to let you know someone cares.
Tina, reading about all Mick ate makes me remember about my brother as Mum used to say he only ate one meal a day, it started first thing in the morning and lasted the whole day, lol. And if you had seen my brother Jim, he was like a match with the wood scraped off, or as Mum would say she had seen more meat on a butchers pencil. I hope all Mick's eating didn't leave him with indigestion because his insides aren't used to eating all that amount. I'm afraid having someone who is ill in the house mothers and wives always go into that sleep alert mode so don't really get a good sleep as you always have that what if in your mind. Kirsten honestly thought that i was joking when i said that once Harry came along your ears become attuned to listening out for that wee person and she wanted one of those baby monitor things. Now i told her she wouldn't need it but she got it, has it been switched on since he came? No it hasn't because she couldn't stand the noise as she could hear ever little whisper of a breath from him and now she knows what Mum here was saying. Oh she was going to get the one with the baby mat that detects even the slightest movement, but as i said to her that thing would just make you paranoid. I think those things have their place with people that have had misfortune but not for everyday normal babies use. I hope you can get a restful sleep soon flower as it's not easy looking after an ill person all on your own 24/7, but i'm glad that your lovely Mick is beginning to show such good signs of improvement and long may it continue. Hugs winging their way down to you and the lovely Mick.
Thoughts, prayers and hugs on their way to Tina, Claire and their family.

  90. Hi Sue,
Fabulous card today, those poppies are stunning!

Elaine, I was thinking of you when I got a text from my sister yesterday. In November she moved from Newquay to just outside Spalding. It took over 8 hours I think and the car was shared with two dogs and a cat. She kept the cat inside to get used to the new house and when he went out he seemed to be getting used to the garden. Then, one day while he was outside I think my brother in law slamed the garage door shut and the cat got scared. Instead of running in to the house, he jumped over the gate and ran off...never to be seen again. Well, sis has finally found a new kitten. He arrived yesterday and he's beautiful. I asked her what she's going to call him as the last one was called Figaro...she told me this one is going to be called...Mouse!! Brilliant name for a cat, almost as good as Cefer...c for cat lol.
Healing thoughts to all our ailing friends with gentle virtual hugs.
    Happy weekend everyone.

    Bejay xx

  91. My apologies for another lengthy catch up, the days run away with me and I am spending far too much time sleeping in the evenings.
I will start by letting you know my problem has been resolved thank goodness. Criminal charges were mentioned so you will understand my distress but they decided no action was needed. I hope I never have to go through that again.
Thursday's card was so elegant in black and gold, superb Sue.
NannyTina, I have always had to get as many calories as I can into my youngest son so I understand your difficulties.
P in Wales, thanks for the hugs they are always appreciated.
Elaine, glad to hear Andrew had a good trip out. I hope the consultant appointment went well.
Jane, so sorry to hear what a rotten time you are having. I wish you all the best for a complete recovery xxx
Friday, I am not usually a lover of bows on cards but Friday's was stunning. A beautiful card.
Maggie, enjoy your newly organised craft room. What bliss.
Elaine, so sorry you have had sleep deprivation to cope with on top of everything else. I hope your break gives you the respite you need.
Tina, how wonderful to hear Mick has his appetite back with a vengeance. I hope you are not tired out by all the cooking.
Tracy, Well Done hun. You did your Dad proud and £600 is a fantastic amount to have raised. Huggles my dear.
Wheely, well done on your auction win. Good luck to Mr W for the interview and enjoy your day out on Monday.
Saturday, congratulations to Agnes on her win.
Today's card is so crisp and elegant and perfect for the occasion. The layered poppies are beautiful.
Yvonne, enjoy Sue's shows today and then your chat with Laine. Well done on your fab card. I sympathise with losing things. I had to buy more flake and glitter glue as I lost my original untouched one and still haven't found my straight handled scissors. I am my own worst enemy.
I am now going to enjoy Sue's shows and take comfort in knowing I have the company of so many Wilsonettes. I do get lonely.
    Take care all xxx

  105. Hi Sue. This is a really striking card today. Guess what - I have the poppy dies but I haven't used them yet as I was looking at them the other day and thought they would be nice cut in crepe paper, but I haven't got any at home (yet). Good idea though.

  107. Hi Sue
Well what happened to Saturday I've just got comfy watching your shows and realised I had not looked on the blog, well I love the poppies so another set to add to the neeeeeeeed list, your card is stunning
Congratulations to Agnes on winning the card
Another good day of eating he seems to be enjoying pies as he finished off the mince and onion one then sent daughter to cooplands and had a chicken bake then some more Swiss roll, he's been very warm today as he cannot regulate his temperature or sweat, carers have just been and got him ready for bed so he's dozing at the moment had visitors today so he had a busy morning, I've made an appointment to have his eyes tested at home as he needs regular check ups as his mum had glaucoma and has some blurred vision in one eye due to a blown pupil
Tracy you are doing so well and wow what a collection, I am the strong one between me and my sister she is coping with her youngest waiting for a liver transplant but anything to do with Mum she goes to pieces
Thank you all for all your kind words they mean the world to me and knowing your all out there keeps me sane with all the heartache I'm going through at the moment
    Happy crafting
Love and huge hugs to you all

  113. Hi Sue

An absolutely wonderful card. Loving the poppies made from crepe paper, never thought of that. I have recorded your show, though I managed to see a little of the first hour and am looking forward to watching it all and tomorrow's. I have just watched the video of today's card, and I really enjoyed it.

Congratulations to Agnes (Scotland) on your win.

Tracy, so pleased that yesterday went well, and that your last image of your Dad was a good one. I remember being so distraught after seeing my mother in the hospital not long after she died with her mouth open looking like she was in agony gasping for breath (she would have been as she died of a lung condition). However, when I saw her in the chapel of rest, I can honestly say she looked at least twenty years younger, she was at peace and free from all the suffering she had endured. I still miss her, but it does get easier. I think you have incredible strength but you will need time to grieve properly and some days you will not feel strong at coping with your loss, but that is ok and very normal. You and your sister will be able to help each other at different times. It was a substantial amount to have raised for Ayrshire cancer support too so that should give you some comfort as to how loved he was. I am so glad that you also gained comfort from all the Wilsonettes on this blog. Take care.

    Love Helen xxx

I have just ordered the double pierced oval and circle dies because of some of the videos i have seen when you have used them for your frame cards as i love making cards with a frame going round as i think they look like pictures. Just my little grey matter working overtime lol.
