For All You Do

Hello all!  Every once in a while I just have to cut loose and bring back the big bow! LOL  Today is just a big bow sort of day!  I cut the decorative die from the Brussels set in to the top portion of a piece of coconut white card.  I added foam mounting to the back and placed it over a piece of pale pink card (from my stash) so it showed through the cut out area.    There is a small area of the Brussels die that you can run a length of ribbon through if you just nip the centre attaching bar from it.  That is what I did and added some pink and brown ribbon so it was going down the centre of the card.  I taped the ends to the back and tied a double bow and added it below the cut area with a white crystal sparkler.  I cut the Belgian Tag and added it over the ribbon in the middle of the Brussels die.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the centre die from the tag and inked it lightly with Spun Sugar,  I added it i the middle of the tag cut out.  I completed the card with flatback white pearls and some matting and layering with  a paper pierced edge.  The finished  dimensions are 7" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  13. Breath taking Sue. An absolute delight to start the day. I've seen some beautiful samples from you of late but this HAS to be the prettiest you've shown, I adore it - can you tell lol. What more can I say, it's stunning.

June - Tina phoned me the day after Anthea lost her fight, about a week or so ago. I can't even begin to tell anybody what they are going through. It's been one thing after another all year and they can't take anymore, the whole family are numb and are in total disbelief as to what they've gone through. I know they will appreciate you thinking of them.

Sending hugs to you Sue. Thank you for all you do xx

  60. Beautiful card Sue , i love the dies, colour and big ribbon , just stunning.

Thank you all for your continued support for Andrew , he now has to see an Oncologist in August to discuss the Chemo.
I am going to go away for a couple of days now Andrew is feeling better , it is a long story but i live in a block of flats on the ground floor { made for the elderly who are capable of looking after themselves ,but have assistance if needed } well i have had broken nights sleep for 3 months now with the new resident from above , she has a house cat that continues to run around playing with a ball in the early hours above my bedroom , i went to ask her nicely if we could sort something out so that it isn't a problem, so the plan was she would keep it in her bedroom, that was good but it only lasted for 2 Nights, after 3 more weeks of getting hardly any sleep i asked her why is the cat back in the lounge ?the answer was " he continued to cry and make an awful noise when closed in, he likes to run around , and i dont know what to do " i did tell her we will see how it goes her answer was "if you want to you can always complain to the housing "
Well sadly for me i have had 2 good nights out of the 3 months she has lived here and i feel so tired ,irritable and just out of sorts.
My Husband would love a dog but we were told no pets, apparently if you already have a pet you are allowed to bring it with you .
As much as i don't want too i feel i have no option but to make a complaint if things don't get better either that or we will have to move .

I will catch up with you all on Sunday or Monday .
Take care everyone and big hugs.

  70. Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
This is a lovely card Sue and i can now make it with my new Brussels die and it's companion die. I do like brown and pink together as they just bounce of each other and this is such a pretty ribbon to use. Sorry i haven't been in again flower but it is called a Kirsten and Harry, we're going to Falkirk to Next are you wanting to come? Well knowing that Harry has to be at the nursery for 1:00pm, i left a note for Rory and said i would see him at the back of that after we had dropped Harry off. Huh! 1:35 she finally drops Harry off then to go up to Asda for a milk. I'm not going shopping for milk again with her as my 2 cartons of milk £2 came out at £66 by the time she had finished, dearest milk on record. 2:50pm we got back and i still had to make a starving Rory something to eat and clean up from the bombsite that him and his father left the kitchen in. Thank goodness she is at work today and i can get some peace and catch up on a lot of things.
Elaine, good news on Andrew and i hope that him getting out and about again lifts his spirits as well as do him a wee bit good. I am sorry that you have such as inconsiderate ignorant person that has moved in above you flower, as 3 months is a long time not to get a decent nights sleep. Why can't she take the toys of the cat at night so that it has to go and lie down and sleep when it should be. NO i'm sorry but i would be going and making a complaint and why should you have to leave your home because of the sheer ignorance of a new resident. If she can't stop the cat them perhaps she would be better finding a new home for it that it can do whatever it likes without disturbing anyone else. Try and have a good time away flower even if it is just for a few days, make the most of the tranquility but you need to speak to housing about upstairs as that is not on flower and just not fair.
Mick, oh how nice it is hearing that you are wanting some more good food, that you are feeling better enough to ask for more. We will let you be Oliver Twist flower any time you want as it is just so good to hear and see that you are feeling better, even if it is just a bit.
Oh my heart doesn't half go out to Tina Eldridge, poor lady and her family have just had one misery after another this past long while. I know that Anthea was her special daughter as in one she inherited years ago and loved from the off.. Sending Tina and all her family and Andrea, Anthea's mum big hugs with my thoughts and prayers as well.
Tracy flower, i hope that you are being well supported at this time as well, i just wish that i could give you the hugs in person wee lass as you have been through so much this past year. Sending my love, thoughts and prayers to you and your family flower.
I will leave with hugs for all the Wilsonettes that could do with some, need them or just want some,
    love and crafty hugs

  108. Hi sue

Fabulous card. And I like the big bow!!

    Well ladies.
Dad was laid to rest today. We went to see him for the final time yesterday he looked better than my last image when he passed away last week.
I took all ur well wishes thoughts and prayers with me to the crematorium and held my head high to show everyone that I was strong and capable young woman that I am after everything that's happened this past 9 months.
We had the celebrant talk about dads life ud have thought the guy had actually known him and had everyone laughing along with him.
My sister got very upset and I was the one being strong for a change as id been getting upset everyday for the past few weeks where as she was the strong one keeping me together.
I feel as tho we did him proud today and a sum of £600 was raised in aid of Ayrshire cancer support. Shows he was well loved by everyone.

So once again I thank u all my lovely friends on the blog for ur loving support I don't know what I'd have done without u.

Lynda Brock thank u for ur beautiful card it was appreciated.

    Love to all xxx

Glad your last memory of Dad was him looking better than when you lost him. Good on you for being so strong, and it must be wonderful to have had such a great celebrant. You must be so proud of the money raised in his memory too.

  115. Hi Sue

Lovely that you give in to your favourite big bows once in a while! A lovely lacy, feminine card. Hope all is well with you, hugs x

Elaine, so glad Andrew has perked up, great news. Hugs to you both x

Nanna Tina, so glad Mick has picked up his appetite. Make sure you get the rest you need though, take care, hugs to you both x

Thinking of Tina E and her family coping with more sadness, biggest of hugs to you all x

Tracy, biggest of hugs to you and your sister. Guessing you'll continue taking turns being strong for each other a while yet while you grieve for your dear dad. So proud of you for standing strong today and showing the world it can't beat you down. Good on you, glad the send off was a big success x

Mr came home Tuesday with another job to apply for. As my head was kinda playing fair with me I decided to bust the application as quick as I could so we did half (he cooked and talked, I typed) Tuesday and Wednesday we finished and I hit complete to send it, he got an email next morning inviting him for interview this Monday PM. Thursday- my PA asked me for a letter to prove her hours had changed which again put me near my limit for being online, which was then breached by me winning an auction for a(nother) sewing machine (I'm a vintage machine fan), a 1958 201k with a 40 minute drive to pick up and cost me £15... I'm so chuffed as it was on my want list of 3 (1 down, 2 to go). I did ask Mr first before I bid as he'd have to take me to get it and he suggested a few hours in the town there as I haven't been out (not counting to the dentist or nurse) since the concert on 18/6. Result! There's a craft shop in the town too so we may have to do a little detour there on the way home.

Plus yesterday was a very special birthday. Billy was 7! He got some new toys, lots of treats and cuddles and a new collar.

So very welcome distractions though Mr did have to bring me chocolate as all of it was not quite enough of a distraction, chocolate helps a lot. I'm really looking forward to going out tomorrow afternoon even though I know I'll pay for it I don't care (new toys!!!!!). Early to bed now to make sure all goes as well as it can.

Sending big hugs to Maria, Laine, Yvonne, Lorraine F, P, Fluffycat, Lynda Brock, Pat and young Sarah, Norah, Theresa W, Marg, anyone I forgot to mention and all Wilsonettes the world over. Have a marvellous weekend and I'll see you as soon as possible
