Just A Note

Hi there!  Just a pretty card for a Monday morning!  I started by cutting four of the Centaurus Tri Gemini die in white.  I used both decorative cutting pieces with the two outer cutting edges each time.  Next I used Iris card and cut four backing pieces, just using the cutting edges that matched the latticed area of the dies.  I glued the in place behind and added mounting foam to the backs of each of them.  I used the centre die from the Antwerp to cut an aperture in a piece of coconut white card.  I added mounting foam to the back of it to raise it, then added it to another piece of white card, creating a recessed centre.  I cut the matching centre die from the Antwerp and recessed it into the aperture.  I added the four Gemini dies around the edge, overlapping the ends of each.  I stamped a sentiment then cut it out with the small oval from the Antwerp set.  I inked it lightly with Dusty Concord before removing it from the die and seated it in the centre of the card on foam.  I added four of the pearl corners in white then finished the card with my usual mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  73. Morning Sue,
What a pretty card but, oh Lord...here's yet another die to add to my ever growing wish list, lol. It's nice and bright to start the week off and we sure need it with more typical 'summer' weather.
Goodness, it's a weird morning though. It's actually stopped raining down here in Truro but, as always, the wind is ever present and it's quite sultry outside. I do so hate muggy weather, it drains what little energy I have to begin with.
So far this morning I've tried to put a thin tempered glass screen protector on my cell phone but I'm getting ever more frustrated by the fact that I can't get all the 'bubbles' from underneath it. I think I'll wait while Wednesday as I'm booked in to see a 'guru' in the O2 shop to sort out another problem. Maybe he will have the magic touch to get the darned thing on properly lol.
The rest of the day is catch up after whiling away the afternoons last week watching the final stages of Wimbledon, and I need to try and get the craft room finally finished. I was doing okay until I had the bright idea to cover the worktops with fablon, so everything is now back on the floor lol. I'll get there one day. The bright side is, for some wonderful reason the postie has already been (it's usually after 1:00pm) and he delivered TWO craft mags, both with free dies this month, so I really do need to get my act together and get the refurb finished so that I can go and play :)
Healing thoughts to all our friends who need them and gentle hugs as well.
    Happy crafting Monday, folks.

Love this card. Antwerp is such a pretty die (which I do have), and as for the Centaurus Gemini die (which I have) well they make such a beautiful partnership.
I do love the iris card and the ensemble which you have created is perfect. Thanks Sue x
Quiet day today. Need to have a day of rest to recover from living it up over the weekend. Mum in law came for dinner. Made a curry and then spent ages staring at a bunch a bananas that were almost passed the point of no return wondering what gastronomic delight I could conjure up. Eventually settled on throwing together a banoffee crumble. Sliced the bananas, opened a tin of carnation caramel and spread it over the bananas then topped it with crumble. Baked til golden brown and the caramel is starting to ooze up the edges of the dish through the topping. Served with vanilla ice cream. Well I cannot tell you how scrum diddly umptious it was. You got to give it a go or come round and I will make it for you. Right up your street Sue - mega sweet x
Pam - I suppose incorrigible is one word to describe Laine and myself. If I told you that we have become incredibly good friends after 'meeting' on the blog would you believe me. In fact I am going to be giving her a ring after I have commented. So the insults which we hurl at each other really is just banter. You should hear how we talk to each other on the phone, lol, or maybe not. Hoping Laine will be coming to stay in September and big fingers crossed tightly we will make Ally Pally x
P - oh the high life these days is a much more subdued affair from days of old. Mind you it sounds like your painting the town red is on my wave length - not sure about the veggie oxo x
Theresa W - my feet have been truly up today. They may have to take me into the kitchen shortly to get some more banoffee crumble. Yum x
Elaine - glad to hear Andrew seems to be on the mend albeit slowly. Hugs x
Tina - hope Mick is OK. Hugs to you both x
Tracy - sending you love and comforting hugs x
Lorraine - glad you had a fab weekend. Nice to 'see' you x
Wheely - how you doing hun? Hugs x
Better go and phone my partner in crime. She'll probably moan because I didn't phone at 8 on the dot but I think making her wait keeps her in her place, lol x

  114. Hi Sue

Wonderful card, another reminder to me then when I do get around to make something I don't need to throw the whole craft room at it! Then after all the crafty withdrawal who'd blame me (chuckle). I hope all is well for you xxx

Hope those who did Doncaster had a great time buying lovely things :)

Elaine and Andrew, Nanna Tina and Mick, Tracy and family- thinking of you all with big hugs xxx

Steph, hope you're breathing easier, a big but not constricting hug xxx

Lorraine F, hope you had a great time at Pride, hope it doesn't give you a bad flare up x big hugs xxx

Pat L, Theresa W, Yvonne, thank you, big hugs back at you and a special one for Pat to pass on to Sarah for me xxx

Bejay- gently rub the bubbles toward the edge of the screen protector, they do then disperse with use- they are pretty inevitable I'm afraid. My big problem is getting protector on with no dog hair under, I have to have the craft room or bath room hoovered as they are the places Billy isn't supposed to go (note the word supposed in that sentance!). They are annoying but do not affect the use of the Phone. Hope that helps, big hugs xxx

Sending big hugs to Laine, P, Maria, Fluffycat, Marg and Lynda xxx Billy sends puppy love and paw hugs to Lynda and all his other fans xxx

Between bed days for back and migraines having prolonged stay I not been up to much, counting hours my head doesn't feel like it's been blown up like a balloon! Haven't read back weekend comments as migraine has reduced rather than leave but I will catch up when possible. Mr didn't get job he went for but he'll keep looking and exploring options of working PT and being here more for me especially as social services seem to have forgotten I exist, call to them on my list for tomorrow, in dark room if need be! Enjoyed weekend sport results too. Louis and Andy... well done boys! Plus GB smashed it in wheelchair tennis which bodes well for Paralympics. Even enjoyed Portugal winning the Euros. They lost star player to injury yet dug in and beat a team who are better on paper. These smaller countries with few stars but great work ethic and strong team spirit are admirable and inspiring especially to a lot of kids. What a great example to them- stick together and always try your best. (Sorry, coach head on there, you can take sport away from me, but not out of me lol)

Well, I've rambled on too long, need to turn out light and go to sleep! Sending a big hug and happy thoughts to Sue and to Wilsonettes everywhere, I'll be back soon as I can.
