Hi Sue, and congratulations to Donna on your delightful win, enjoy your Sue card they are very precious.
ReplyDeleteA smiley card today Sue full of frilly loveliness. I did it Sue, as painful as it was I did it !! What did you do I hear you wondering - well, I gave one of your dies the dreaded snip ! Well as I've not got the Wellington die and wanted a similar shape, I snipped my Ravello die, yes I know it's more pointed but I cut - oh my word I'm coming out in a sweat just reliving the whole traumatic procedure, c - t them just below where the pattern repeats and staggered them round the Gillian die so they were glued to the solid edge (I know what I mean) ! Lol. It looked quite pretty when I'd done but I had to go and lie down in a dark room afterwards to get my heart rate back to normal - phew, talk about trauma Sue. Still I did it, will I do it again ? Maybe, when I've come to terms with it ☺ so I may not have the Wellington in my life but thanks to you I could improvise.
So I will finish today's comment by mopping my brow after reliving my traumatic time with that poor little die and send you my usual hugs for the day xx

ReplyDeleteHi Sue
ReplyDeleteLoving todays card the dies are just so versatile.
Well done Donna,enjoy your card.
Thank you to all who have given prayers and wishes to Andrew and myself , he did have a couple more problems earlier in the week but after having more tests and a scan we are pleased all is well and yesterday we saw a great improvement in him .
He has had all the staples out and the last intravenous bag was going on last night so he has to start to eat more now ,he has had no appetite at all so { his wife is going to take in a bottle of Tomato Ketchup as a tempter } i hope it works .
His color is good ,he can now get out of bed on his own and is walking to the bathroom slowly.
So all in all i think all your prayers have helped my lovely boy to come through this mammoth operation and on the road to being back home soon, shame it wont be for Fathers day but Daniel will be seeing his dad tomorrow .
I wish you all a lovely weekend , and lots of hugs .
Take Care
Elaine H X

fabulous card Sue, love the colours and the die combination.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card today. Love the combination of dies and colours.
ReplyDeleteGood evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!
ReplyDeleteYou provide me with some of the most enjoyable 10mins or so in my week Sue , and today was no exception. What a stunning example of your talent, I love the use of the Ravello as a background enhancement, whilst the Milford adornment is beautifully intricate as a base for the main event. I was admittedly wary of the perspective dies feeling that there uses would be rather limiting for me when in actual fact you have proved that the only limit was my own imagination. I now adore them, particularly the happy birthday die, and I am convinced of their merit. I really like the colour palette, is that raspberry/plum Foundations card or is it from your own stash?, whatever, it's lovely.
Been missing for a couple of days due to a few hospital appointments taking up my time and tiring me out in the process. Had good news about my heart though, whilst my cholesterol is still very high, my risk of another heart attack is minimal since my heart is normal size and shape and the valves are functioning as expected:-) So, apart from an annual check up, I don't need to alter my diet or worry about risking heart disease any time soon.
Feeling rather tired today, Darcey was a little minx last night scratching and crying until after 1 am when I eventually gave in and let her out....it's a full moon and that plays havoc with her behaviour, either that or the dirty stop out has a boyfriend! She sauntered back at 4am, got on my bed and demanded plenty of cuddles before she settled until after 9am so my bags weren't as bad as they could have been I suppose...be thankful of small mercies:-)
Brodie had a productive morning, I had just finished my breakfast when he arrived back for his food, or so I thought....as I approached him I noticed that he appeared rather smug and had brought an object home with him. Upon closer inspection, I was dismayed to discover that it was actually a blackbird:-( It was motionless so I feared the worst, but suddenly it darted towards my mums scooter in the hallway and hid underneath. Relieved, my mum locked Brodie in another room and gently gathered the bird up and set her free, she flew away a bit dazed but alright thankfully. It's the worst part of being a owned by cats but you can't berate them because it's a present and a sign that they love you....at least Brodie always brings them back alive for us:-)
Maria, do not fear, there were no casualties or bloodshed following my last conversation with Yvonne:-) in fact, I think I have her well trained now so perhaps a visit in September won't put me in any immediate danger:-) It's a risk worth taking if I get to meet you, fellow Wilsonettes, and most of all the wonderful Suexxxx
Pam, glad you're feeling better again but be kind to yourself and don't put yourself under any strainxxx
Nana Tina, how wonderful that Mick is finally home, it will take some adjustments for you both though so take it one day at a time, glad things are moving in the right direction for you though:-)
Elaine, how heartening to hear of Andrews progress, he's been through such a lot, I hope he enjoys spending some time with his son tomorrow:-)
Yvonne, since I didn't notice any reports of civil disturbances and riots yesterday, I'm assuming that your day at Clarity with Barbara Gray passed without issue:-) Hope you enjoyed yourself and that it hasn't tired you out too muchxxxx
Pat, thinking of you and Sarah as her date for surgery approachesxxx
Hugs to our missing friends, Beth, Rebecca, Jan, Linda, Deb c and Tracy
Cuddles also to Lorraine, Alison, Frances, Wheely bad, P and Theresa , plus anyone in need of a good old squeezexxxx
Crafty hugs
