Best Wishes

Hi bloggers!  Yes, it is Thursday and there is normally a video card here each week.  However, from time to time, we need to adjust the video schedule as we either get too far ahead or too far behind!  The goal is to not run out of videos at all so for a few weeks going forward the videos will drop down to twice a week instead of three a week.  It will actually be on Thurs and Sat., but it was my mistake this week by posting the video on Tuesday!  I am definitely a creature of habit!  Today's card is one of those sort of cards that I love to do as they are really quick and easy, but are really pretty too!  I started by covering a piece of black card with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I cut two of the New Zealand Noble Borders in black, peeled the backing off of the sticky sheet and laid them down so they were offset with a small gap between them.  Next I used Summer Meadow gilding flakes and rubbed the into all the exposed adhesive areas.  I refined them with a piece of Rubit Scrubit pad, removing any excess flake, then trimmed the panel, taking off the excess border edges.  I wrapped a piece of white seam binding around it vertically, then added a messy bow.  I made a flower out of the Sweetheart Flowers and added a gold paint pen to the edges.  I seated the flower on the bow and added Lace Edges Leaves in both white and black as accents. I stamped my sentiment and cut it with the Pierced Flags die set, then matted it with a slightly larger one cut in black.  I used the same gold paint pen around the edge then tucked the end under the floral element.  I added my usual paper pierced mat and layers to complete the card.   The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  9" in size. All for now, Sue x

I so need the noble border die I now have some gilding flakes so once I buy this die I can give this ago I also love the flowers
Mick did manage to eat some ice cream and drink milk but still feels very sick so he's having some repeat scans to see if there's a reason for feeling ill or if it's all down to his medication and antibiotics, they have stopped some tablets and reduced the dosage on others and putting him on a vitamin IV to see if that helps, he has had a visit from his son he hasn't seen for nearly 3 years as he lives away so that brought a smile to his face
    Happy crafting
Love and huge hugs to all

  102. Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Don't feel so bad Sue, we have been positively spoiled with three video per week and I for one are more than happy to see any of your gorgeous creations In any format. I can appreciate all of the hard work, preparation and time that goes in to making your videos, I assume that you film multiple ones in a day and thus it must be gruelling for you. Thankyou for all the effort you put in on our behalf.xxx
Like others, today's card is rather familiar, I think that I may be confusing it with the demo you did at Ally Pally for Hochanda where you used this particular technique. I love the boldness of the black set against the rich opulent gold tones....I can't get enough of black on a card, I find it striking and sophisticated. The NZ border is beautifully ornate, complimenting the richness of the burnished gold and the floral adornment is simply stunning....the lacy leaves and sweetheart flowers were a welcome addition to my die collection some time ago and an absolute must have.....I can see me blatantly copying your genius if you don't mind my cheek:-)
Yet another scorcher today, we got ready to go out for a coffee with a friend and waited in the sunshine outside. Time passed, and after a while we became fidgety and puzzled...Gill was nearly an hour late which was totally out of character. My mum called her but there was no answer...you worry that there has been an accident or something equally horrendous.....I thought, double check the calender, and yes! We were a full day early for our outing!??! My mum felt like such a plonker, and I didn't argue the fact:-)
So another couple of hours was spent blissfully sunbathing and catching up with the neighbours....you don't see each other or speak much from Sept-April, then in the summer months, weather permitting, you become bestest buddies again.
Frances, we don't adopt a cat, rather it chooses us and I think Jay has definitely given you the seal of approval:-) it looks like he's here to stay but I have to agree with P, why wasn't his owner beside herself with worry about his whereabouts? When Darcey went missing I printed over 100 A4 posters of her and stuck them to lamp posts, shop windows and put them through the doors of everyone in the local area and it was because of these posters that she was eventually found:-)
Pat, good news about Sarah's op though annoying about her remote control....have you checked the batteries? Seems obvious but sometimes there is a simple answer.
Tracy, your reflexology session sounds blissful....as does the market, what kind of stuff do they sell and where exactly is it held....is it Kilmarnock?
Nana Tina, my heart goes out to Mick, persistent nausea is no fun atall and he must be so fed up:-( what a pleasant surprise to see his son though, hopefully that will give him a little boostxxxx
Yvonne, hope you are okay honey, I know all of that rain is depressing, especially when you can't hang out your washing all week but take heart, your new washing machine may have a tumble dryer function:-)xxx
Maria, no danger of burning, my skin has the resistance of a rhinos!:-)
Elaine, glad to hear your sons lengthy operation went well, I hope his recovery is swift and without complicationsxxx
Gentle hugs to Beth, Rebecca, Jan, Theresa, Linda, Lorraine, Lynda, Wheely bad, P, Pam and anyone in need of a little squeezexxxx

  115. Hi Sue

Just stunning, anything that involves gilding flakes and lacy looking does will always be a winner with me! I love every little detail of this. It's been too long since I crafted, I hear the flakes a-calling! Hope all is well with you, hugs from myself and four paws xxx

No news really except Mr W brought me a lovely carving of a dog that could be Billy, same lazy tail draped on leg, laying on floor with his gremlin ears half cocked. The similarity is uncanny. I adore it. Just woke up so visiting before I go sleep in the bed (instead of sofa where I fell asleep after the football). Busy day with PA here PM so I'm tired and sore but happy that I accepted more help. It meant I got a shower and didn't flake immediately after! Will try and be back soon xxx

Hugs to Wilsonettes everywhere, plenty to go round so if you need extra hug be my guest xxx
