Thanks For Everything

Hi bloggers!  Today's card showcases another of the matching Stamps To Die For.  This one matches the Wellington die and it is called Floral Oasis. I started the card by preparing the background.  I cut two of the New Zealand Noble borders out of coconut white card.  I glued them to another piece of white card for a tone on tone look.  Next I stamped the Floral Oasis stamp with a Black Archival ink pad and cut it out with the Wellington die. I used Distress markers to colour the image (Spun Sugar and Mustard seed for the flowers, Forest Moss for the leaves and Shaded Lilac and Stormy Sky for the edge)  I mounted it in the centre of the card in a diamond orientation.  I stamped a sentiment from the Amazing Sentiment clear stamp set by Cr. Exp.  I used the inner ring from the Happy Birthday circle to frame it and mount it in the centre of the stamped image.  Finally, I finished the card with a Paved Pearl Technique border.  I do have this technique as a step by step tutorial at the top of the blog if you want to see how it is done.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Yvonne, sorry your boys are causing you to feel so poorly, sometimes my girls get like that and it's not nice to be in the middle. They will sort it out though.
June, keep on doing so well, think you have now turned the corner onto healthy street.
NannaTina and Mick, progress slowly but surely, so happy to hear it.
Tracey and dad, in my thoughts, praying for you both.
Daily hugs to all, especially our missing friends.

  9. Morning Sue. I confess to only owning a few stamps that work with your dies and they are a few of the flower and leaf stamps, and I think it's time to change that and invest in more as they can do so much to lift, compliment, and just add that bit of something to a project. Both you and John have made me seriously consider my Stamps to Die for collection as you both give your cards the wow factor with these stamps, either dress up a plain simple card, or help enhance one of those extra special occasion cards. Yep, it's time to go through what dies I have and start matching them up with their stamp 😊
Thank you Sue for a beautiful start to my week.
Have a good day. Hugs from Lancashire xx

What a pretty card this morning, the noble boarders are a perfect backdrop for your stamped images aren't they. There are so many beautiful stamps to go with your dies, it's nice to see them being showcased. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes from my blog friends, I'm pleased to report yesterday was a much better day and my birthday meal was eventually cooked on an unfamiliar cooker with hubby and I using our phone torches to see if the food was cooked as the kitchen was so dark ( it's a long story!!), but the bottle of wine we consumed made the situation very funny! Have a lovely day everyone.

  48. Interesting card, Sue, lots of texture and then realised the background had a noble border! Great colouring too.
Tracy - thinking of you, wondering if you're looking in?
Bejay - always like animal stories. Made me think of last place we lived, an old cat-loving friend had died and her burial was in our beautiful rural churchyard. Went back later in the day just to be there, and a black cat rushed and jumped onto the top of a nearby gravestone, then on to my shoulder. It was so fitting. Unfortunately she was buried next to the village butcher - they had a mutual loathing - just so weird, together but so apart for eternity! (I ended up with her cats, too, chief of which was Lukie Pooh, a ginger boy.)
    Hugs all round.

  92. Afternoon Sue
Love this card. Really pops with the contrast of the bright colours against the white. Paved pearl border - it's been a while since we've seen that - love it x
Mum and sis in law came up yesterday and cooked roast lamb dinner. It was Jake's birthday on Friday but he was away on a fishing trip until Saturday evening. Normally I would cook a birthday feast and everyone would descend and stay til the cupboard is bare. Obviously at the moment it's tricky to stay awake and upright so when the suggestion of having dinner cooked and all the washing up done afterwards I could hardly refuse could I?!
It was lovely but George didn't come so not quite the family meal I would have liked. The boys are being stubborn and I am going to try and stay calm and leave them to it. I think the thing that is bothering me most is the slagging each other off to me. So when Jake started moaning about George earlier I told him I wasn't interested and didn't want to know. We'll see how that goes x
Laine - I wouldn't like to damage my Anne Summers whip on the boys - I think a cattle prod may be more appropriate or a firing squad. And for the record I know that if I did move into my own little haven that was kid free you would be begging me to come and stay x
Tracy - so sorry to hear about your dad. Big hugs hun x
Nanna Tina - big hugs to you too x
Lorraine - sorry you didn't enjoy your time with your mum - huggles x
Wheely bad - thinking of you - hugs x
