Hello Friend

Hello crafters!  I started by cutting both ends of a piece of coconut white card with the Aquila Gemini die.  Next I used the Magnolia Adornment outer cutting edge to cut an aperture.  This had to be cut in two sections since the die is a sort of half circle shape.  I just lined up the straight side from the first cut with the second cut to do this.  Next I used the cut out pieces from the aperture to cut the decorative portion of the die.  I added mounting foam to the back of the aperture piece to raise it for dimension.  I cut a piece of Vintage Silver card just slightly longer than my aperture and embossed it with the Bed of Roses embossing folder for texture.  I mounted the aperture over it then added white pearl strips to both of the ends as accents.  I recessed the Magnolia Adornment cut outs into the aperture and glued them into place.  I cut two each of the Pierced Flag die in both white and silver and matted them, then put them end to end in the centre of the card.  I stamped my sentiment from the Lavish Petite Sentiment set and cut it out with the circle die from the New Zealand Tag, then added it to an Australian Tag which I cut in silver.  The card was matted and layered in white and silver to complete it.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  9 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  25. Morning sue and crafters.
Beautiful card sue as it always is. Love all the detail. I've had to do a quick catch up on all ur cards this week. It was like s sue overload.

Ladies as u know my dad had a suspected mass in his gullet a week past thurs. unfortunately the news wasn't good and the consultant had to explain it to myself an sister on the mon that not only was the cancer their but it'd spread to the liver and surrounding lymph nodes.
They can't cure it so it's terminal but can make things a little more comfortable for him. Still waiting to hear the outcome of the big meeting all the docs had last Thursday. There was talk of chemo first and then a stent put in to help him eat a little more. As At the moment it's liquids yoghurt and soup.
As u can imagine I was distraught all week hence why I've been quiet and not here.
I can't believe our bad luck but I guess it's just part of life which At the moment I don't have much faith in. there has also been changes in my workplace too in my absence that's also affecting my life just now and it's so crap. Life has decided to be cruel to me this year.
However I'm coping as best I can at the minute and have additional support around me to help.

Thank u also for all the well wishes that's been left and the hugs too as I can always think of u giving me big squashy ones.
My friend Janice who's always by my side at these times is my tower of strength. I dunno how she does it. Her dad too also has cancer and has had several drug trials and still plodding along which gives me a little hope for mine to plod along a bit longer.

Thanks sue and friends for letting me ramble thru my tears u help so much

Love to all and congrats to all the winners this week too x.

  57. Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
This is a lovely card Sue and with you making that gemini die of flowers into a square round it looks like it continues on right round. The antique silver in some of the photographs looks like gunmetal which would make an ideal back drop to a man's card perhaps using the embossing folder that looks like the metal grid on the truckers running boards of their lorries or perhaps that's just my childhood fascination with the big rigs of America and all their polished chrome. I do like the magnolia ornament that you have cut top and bottom of the white card, it looks so much like a tiara to me so would make the most wonderful fairy story card for a little girl, but that's my imagination running riot again, sorry Sue. Thank you flower of a stunning card and the inspiration that you bring with it.
Oh Tracy my flower, i am so so sorry to hear that life has hit you beneath the belt yet again. Oh how i wish i could give you that big squishy hug that you dream off when reading about them from all your friends here in blog land, but i am glad that you have got such a strong friend who is going through her own wars on life with her daddy too. I hope that they can find something that is going to let your beloved daddy have a wee bit more time on this earth but remember flower through those tears that you need never be alone. Sending hugs, love and my prayers for you dear flower. I lost my beloved daddy to bladder cancer and it had spread because of a GP not listening for 9 months to what he was saying and by the time he did, it was too late for my much loved dad, so i know just how and what you are going through at this horrible time. Take care lovely lass x
Well we are back at Brigadoon once more here at the Ochils so i hope that it fades away and lets the sun shine through once more. Where ever you are i hope that life treats you good and sending hugs to all who need, want or could just do with some,
    love and crafty hugs
