ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday Sue.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card to start the day with, it's so delicate and you have used one of my favourite shades of blue, the aqua is so pretty and soothing to the eye, what a difference from yesterday's 'ode to John' with those strong masculine colours.
Well Sue, you've said it a few times but yes, Andy is a true keeper bless him, I've had a really nasty week thanks to the Crohns disease that plagues me and after unpacking the grocery shop he'd been to get he offered me a bag with a kiss and a smile and said "this is because you've had a poorly week" and he'd added your Thank You circle die to my collection ! I'm just looking forward to this little hiccup that life brings us sometimes to disappear so I feel well enough to go into my den and play with my new addition. I'm so lucky.
Well Sue, hope you manage to enjoy a small amount of free time whilst we have some decent weather at last and have a lovely day xx
What a lovely card, love the many uses you find for all your dies.

Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a soft delicate looking card Sue with the very soft aqua colour just being enough to pop the whole card. As i was looking at just how neatly the borders fit together made me wonder if when designing then you think about "well if i make this this height and that so high, then i will get them to meet at the smallest points but overlap at the highest to fit snuggly against each other" or do you try cutting them out to see what sort of sizes you would need in the first place to do the various things? You can tell the brain was whirring around at looking at todays gorgeous piece of WOW. This would make a lovely card for numerous things not just a birthday or something special like that but for just becasue cards, thinking of you cards, thank you cards etc. Thank you Sue for a beautiful WOW design once more x
Lynda flower, i hope that your scan is good news and that you are feeling oh so much better soon, but please rest and take care of yourself. Mum had heart problems as well and boy oh boy when she had an attack it was truly frightening for her and for me watching knowing there was nothing i could do for her except look after her that we bit better and me set down the rules instead of how it had always been. My mum was maybe a tiny lady but she had pure fire inside her and wouldn't be a burden as she put it to anyone and especially not her daughter. But sometimes you need to give up some of that firey spirit and accept help flower, please take it easy and take the offer of help if you get it. Sending hugs to you this morning flower x
Marion, congratulations on winning this weeks card, may you have much enjoyment from it and inspiration.
Well its an ok day here at the ok corral Glenochil but it might get better so i will go and get started on the house work for today. Have a good day everyone and hugs being sent to Tracy and all who need them.

ReplyDeleteHi a Sue
ReplyDeleteA lovely card today. Very frilly look to this card.
Such a delicate looking card and done with borders!!!! Amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteGood evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!
ReplyDeleteFabulous video tutorial, as always, I always appreciate being led step by step through the construction process. Beautifully simple, elegant and dainty lacy delight, I love the bling background with the gorgeous border dies creating a white on white dream. The inclusion of yet more of the Australian border die in the central element is a lovely touch, I particularly like the aqua tones, very fresh and springlike and suitable given the start of some sunshine and pleasing blue skies this weekend. The combination of coconut white and aqua is truly a winning formula, add a bit of bling and one or two Sue dies and voila! you are left with a fantastic work of art:-)
Whilst we didn't have "bad" weather today in Stirling, we didn't have temperatures exceeding 20c either, just cloud:-( Hoping for better tomorrow....they are predicting a record breaking amount of good weather this summer, but I fear that they really only mean the south of England because more often than not Scotland gets the raw deal, it's the price to pay for beautiful scenery and fantastic people I guess:-)
Took the opportunity to finish some cards for my brothers birthday. Boy, I hate doing men's cards, I invariably just do whatever design takes my fancy whilst trying to use male colour tones, naughty I know, but who is going to complain when they know that you have taken the time to handcraft a card rather than simply buying one?:-) I've been missing Brodies input, he is spending hours each day wandering in and out of the house and I miss his company...the novelty of going out is still strong and he doesn't know when to have a rest. The good news is that with all this exercise he appears to be slimming down, our main reason for letting him out but I fear that he is far too friendly with people, they just speak to him and he comes over with his tail pointed in the air in welcome whereas Darcey, you wouldn't see her for dust if anyone tried to get near her.
Thanks for all the well wishes for Yvonne, I'm sure she will appreciate them and I'll pass them on when I next speak to her. Hopefully she will be back on the blog soon cos she's missed....I've no one to slag off while she's away:-)
Steph, what a lovely hubby you have, if I want a die I have no option but to buy my own:-( How kind and thoughtful. Crohn's disease is dreadful and I really feel for you, how nice to have a partner that appreciates the struggles you experience, hope you feel better soonxxx
Lynda, what a dreadful week you've had, and what a shame that you can't get anything resolved until the 12th....great though our NHS is, it doesn't help our anxiety when there are delays in our treatment. Take it easy, I've had a heart attack and know how debilitating the shortness of breath can be so get plenty of rest and be careful not to overdo thingsxxxxx
June, hope you're feeling better and didn't need another course of antibioticsxxxx
P, thinking of you after your recent loss, how are you bearing up?xxx
Special hugs to Beth, Yvonne, Jan, Rebecca, Maria, Theresa, Wheely bad, Linda, Lorraine, pat, Pam, Tracy and melody, plus cuddles to anyone in pain or suffering...or who just feels like one!:-)
Crafty hugs
