Birthday Shaker Card

Hi there my crafty friends!  Shaker cards are all the rage and the Perspective range dies make great shaker cards too.  Today's video shows you just how easy they are to do!

The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Laine, glad you enjoyed your birthday.
NannaTina, any joy on Micks chair yet, you both need some time away from the ward life.
June, great news, at last you can see some real progress, so pleased for you.

  3. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, lovely card and love the video, and is suitable for male or female.

Nanna Tina - hope you got a wheelchair sorted
Pam - thanks for all your wishes

Wound update - one of the areas has healed enough that I don't have to have a dressing on now, the other pesky one is still being a bit naughty so they are trying the honey and a different dressing which I have to keep on for a week if I can, although I can see that it is staining the dressing, but as this is waterproof II am keeping my fingers crossed. But I will get there.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

    1. As they are working down the 'natural' route June, have they mentioned a clean cabbage leaf to help with the healing process ? Our daughter is a nurse and it's been really successful in wound healing believe it or not (raw not cooked) ask though before trying xx

  6. Hi Sue, good morning. WOW, what a happy colourful birthday card. I've never attempted a shaker card, never had the confidence in myself but thanks to this die and your tutorial you have made it look easy to achieve, and male or female receipient - it's perfect for either with a change of colour maybe. Yeah, think it should be on my list of cards to try (all I need is the die) !!
Sending you my usual daily virtual friendly hug and hope you have a lovely day whatever you plan to do apart from making, designing, emailing etc, xxx

  34. Hi Sue
I have this die set and will be using it for my Grandsons birthday next month and after seeing this I just might have a go at a shaker.
No chair yet but Mick has motion sickness every time he sits up even slightly so Physio's are going to work on him in bed for now and they are going to do another tilt table test and compare results with the last one he had so hopefully while they are waiting for chair they can get him able to sit up for more than a few minutes without feeling sick, he has also lost another stone in weight so we need to get some food in him and keep it down, thank you all for u our messages and good wishes
    Happy crafting

  121. Hi Sue,
I love this card and have added the dies to my ever increasing wish list lol. Great video...you make it look so easy, Sue. When I attempt a shaker card I always seem to end up running after the sequins that have escaped lol. The results are always well worth the effort though aren't they.
I hope everyone is having a good week. Today was a complete waste of time for me...off I went to town to pick up the four different meds that I ordered online. Got to Superdrug and only ONE of them had been sent through on the computer! They are really good in my local branch though and called the surgery, giving me the phone so that I could sort it out. Seems that the request wasn't completely signed off so I have to make the trip again tomorrow to pick up the rest...What a chore! I always end up spending money when I go to pick up a prescription...today was £11 in PoundLand. I think I'm staying away from there tomorrow, just a quick rush down and back home on the next bus I think :)
