Best Wishes

Hi bloggers!  A bit of a simple card today, but I loved the ease of it and it is always handy to have a quick make when needed!  I cut the Pierced Rose Background out of sky blue card, leaving a wide border around it.  I backed it with a piece of coconut white card.   Next I cut it into three wide sections.  I added mounting foam to the back and re attached them to a piece of coconut white card with a small gap between them.  I stamped my sentiment from the Delightful Sentiment set by Creative Expressions and cut it out with the Pierced Flags die set.  I cut a Blushing Rose die out of white and backed it with a sky blue solid piece and seated it on a bow tied from thin black satin ribbon.  I seated it at the end of my sentiment strip and added some Lace Edged Leaves cut out of white card as accents.  I did a bit of matting and layering with white, sky blue and black to frame and finish the card.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8" in size.  All for now,
Sue x

  64. A new week a new month but same old weather ! Thank goodness we have Particraft to brighten our day. I'm loving the simplicity of your inspiration today Sue. Im a lover of all things floral, foliage, and full on bling, but im also finding that the CAS and simplified cards are equally lovely and relaxing to make let alone quicker, which means we can get more cards made in one crafting day, and for someone like me and other ladies that make a continuous amount of cards is great. I dont own any of your 'word/sentiment' collection yet but you got me thinking about using some large alpha dies I have and using the cutting frames of your past collection of striplet dies as a raised frame to put my 'homemade' sentiments in. So I'm getting equal amounts of pleasure from your amazing floral inspirational work as I am these more simple clean cut samples, so thank you Sue for helping me to grow. Especially as I now have your stepped frames as an added addiction lol. With the help of the smashin ladies on fb explaining how they work I'm now the frame queen ☺ lol.
Whatever your plans for the day hope it's an enjoyable one.

  99. Good afternoon lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a fantastic idea, creating a triple panelled delight out of a background, and boy are the results stunning. I love the Wedgewood colour palette, it really enhances the detail of the background die quite beautifully. Simple to you is intricate to us mere mortals though, the combination of the beaded foliage and rose die elevates this card from CAS to extraordinary in my opinion. Love it, thanks for the inspiration :-)
It's a blustery, sunny, rainy day here in Stirling and I have a draft blowing to my neck from the wide open window for Brodies convenience.....the wind is so bad we need to prop it open with a screwdriver! I'm sitting in my pjs....it is allowed on a bank holiday....with a fluffy dressing gown and the heating on full blast and I'm still freezing...so what do I decide to have for a drink, a Slush Puppy!??!....I didn't claim to be the sharpest tool in the box now did I?:-)
Still watching the snooker and avoiding my craftroom and those birthday cards I need to rustle up sharpish, well tomorrow's another day and it gives me a little longer to find my absent mojo.....anyone seen it? When you haven't crafted for a month or so it becomes more difficult to get back in the saddle again, I should be fine though, once I watch a Sue demo for inspiration and make a feeble attempt at emulating her brilliance:-)
June, itchy is a great sign but it's true, you have to remember the scars you can't see and try to take it easy for a whilexxx
Rebecca, long time no see honey, you have been so missed and I hope that you can join us more frequently again, missed your storiesxxx
Pat, my thoughts are with you and your granddaughter at this troubling time. Surgery on the spine is quite daunting but I'm sure that she is in safe hands, how sad that one so young has to face this though. On the sunny side, congrats to her mum and dadxxxx
Tracy, sounds like a brill experience, I love fast cars and you couldn't have held me back from giving it a go:-) I'm so glad you both enjoyed your day out....not long till your little break away either......xxxxx
Wheely bad, hope those pesky migraines behave today so that you can relax and enjoy your time with the in laws, take carexxx
Jan, sending hugs right back at you, hope you are wellxxxx

  119. Hi Sue,
Beautiful card. I love the way the Blushing Rose die coordinates so well with the Pierced Rose background.
    Thank you for sharing.
