Hello bloggers! I just love using the aperture from many of my dies. Adding a bit of embossing just dresses it up beautifully too. Today's video will walk you through the process and show you how simple it is.

Embossed Aperture Card
Hello bloggers! I just love using the aperture from many of my dies. Adding a bit of embossing just dresses it up beautifully too. Today's video will walk you through the process and show you how simple it is.
Beautiful card , love it.
ReplyDeleteGlad that Hichanda is more about the demos, that's what actually sells the products not the constant selling blurb and inane personalities.
Tracey you are welcome, if it helps I'll send two daily thoughts lol.
Daily hugs to Tracey, Tina, Melody and Molly, and all on the blog
Morning Sue
ReplyDeletehope Ally Pally goes really well for you and the team. x
Very elegant card,love that blue.
ReplyDeleteAgree with Pam about Hochanda and that demos sell the products without all the constant pushy sales talk and the" look at me" all the time presenters(well some of them anyway).
Morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteThank you a great video and a beautiful card.
Such a pretty colour.
Sue i have just seen your new collection, I just do not know how you do it,

Lovely card again Sue,you must never stop. Agree with comments about Hochanda, can't wait to get them back on freeview. JJxx
ReplyDeleteLovely card today, looks so classy. I'm going to have a go today! I agree with all the comments about Hochanda - the demos are inspiring and I choose what I want from them. On recordings I skip through all the other blurb anyway! Looking forward to seeing demos of the upcoming new dies. Take care!
ReplyDeleteMaggie B xx
You make it so easy for us to make a great card like this, thanks for sharing. Have a great day, hugs xxxxxxxxxx

ReplyDeleteHello Sue and all
ReplyDeleteDefinite wow factor card today, the colours are fabulous and the antipodean dies too of course lol !
Enjoy Ally Pally everyone who can get there, it sounds like crafters heaven,
Muriel x
GM Sue. Love the card and the embossing folder is a fave.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sue. Beautiful card, love the lacy look. I'm sure that you must be deep in prep for Ally Pally; I wish I could be there but living in the north it's quite an expensive journey (we live over an hour away from the nearest mainline train station), instead I convert the train fare and hotel costs into "Sue dies and CE goodies" and tell myself that one day you'll be at a more local show, plus it's back to work on Monday! I agree with the Hochanda comments, I hope that they carry on being about the demos. Hugs to all. Sue XXX
ReplyDeleteBeautify card love the colours x xhazel
ReplyDeleteHello Sue, a gorgeous card today, I love embossing on my cards, and this folder is on my wish list. Will catch up with the video a bit later. Have a great day. Bx
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card Sue.
ReplyDeleteI've seen your New collection I look forward to seeing the cards you have made xx
Absolutely beautiful Sue. It's nice to have the small selection of staimens in with the orange blossom dies, although I still love sugaring my dandilion dies to add to the centre of some of my flowers especially when I can't feel the small staimens to pick them up ! To anyone thinking 'use tweezers, I can't pinch them together.
ReplyDeleteI really like the look of the embossed apature, I also emboss the card sometimes to cut as a frame and that looks quite nice on a wideish frame on a plain piece of card, makes a nice change to reverse it sometimes.
Hope your planning and organising for AP are going well, I've set up the box to record as I watch, can't wait to get a front seat lol.
Well Sue, I will end by sending my usual hugs to you, and the lovely ladies in the fb group that pop in plus hugs to Tina E & Sam. Am hoping to get out today as the tummy monster reared its ugly head again yesterday and wiped me out ! Such is life xxx
Great colours in this one Sue. Enjoy Ally Pally.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful card today Sue! Lovely card design and colours. Debra x
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue,
ReplyDeleteWow this card is stunning, I love it.

Good morning Sue today's card is gorgeous I love the design and the dies are amazing. I hope that all your prep for Ally Pally is going well. It will be different with Hochanda there. Have a great day today. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, really lovely. I've already picked a few "must have" dies from your new release.
ReplyDeleteMichele
Good morning Sue and crafters all,
ReplyDeleteWow, wow this card is so pretty and your choice of dies - well what do we say Excellent.
I agree with many comments today about Hochanda being great for demo's , presenters are usually very good and like to "help" but their personal preferences should be kept to themselves , maybe it's me but I do not want to know theirs. They are there to help sell the products. I being on a pension cannot afford big bundle prices and like Nanna Tina do shop around - Julia Watts gives a discount on show products on her website.
Hope all CE team enjoy Ally Pally. I would love to go but with travel being expensive will watch on TV.
Love and crafty hugs

Only 2 sleeps and then it's Ally Pally time - wish I were there.

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and I love the embossed aperture. I remember you once showed how to emboss with the die still in place so that you get a defining line between the embossing and the aperture but I can't remember how you did it and I'm scared to try in case I ruin the embossing folder or worse the die!! Hope you have a great time at AP wish I could go but flights from Belfast and then a hotel would leave no money to buy any of your lovely products so I'll watch you on Hochanda instead
Missing Norah and Laine and many other regulars, hope you're all ok
Special hugs to Tracy
Hugs and best wishes everyone

Hi, Sue,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card and a great technique. I'm really going to have to buckle down and start adding to my Sue Wilson Die Collection then I will be able to join in a lot more than I can right now.
I'm squinting in the sunlight coming through my lounge room window right now...don't be fooled into thinking it's a gorgeous day though as the sky is full to bursting with dark grey clouds with only a few gaps for the sun to make its way through.
I'm smiling a lot though because I got some happy mail...yes, I finally got around to ordering a couple of new dies from Amazon so I'm now the proud owner of the Daisy Cluster and the Petite Peony Cluster. I'm really going to have fun with those :)
Bejay xx
