Embossed Aperture Card

Hello bloggers!  I just love using the aperture from many of my dies.  Adding a bit of embossing just dresses it up beautifully too.  Today's video will walk you through the process and show you how simple it is.

The finished dimensions are 7" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Beautiful card , love it.
Glad that Hichanda is more about the demos, that's what actually sells the products not the constant selling blurb and inane personalities.
Tracey you are welcome, if it helps I'll send two daily thoughts lol.
Daily hugs to Tracey, Tina, Melody and Molly, and all on the blog

Agree with Pam about Hochanda and that demos sell the products without all the constant pushy sales talk and the" look at me" all the time presenters(well some of them anyway).

On recordings I skip through all the other blurb anyway! Looking forward to seeing demos of the upcoming new dies. Take care!

  17. Good morning Sue. Beautiful card, love the lacy look. I'm sure that you must be deep in prep for Ally Pally; I wish I could be there but living in the north it's quite an expensive journey (we live over an hour away from the nearest mainline train station), instead I convert the train fare and hotel costs into "Sue dies and CE goodies" and tell myself that one day you'll be at a more local show, plus it's back to work on Monday! I agree with the Hochanda comments, I hope that they carry on being about the demos. Hugs to all. Sue XXX

  21. Absolutely beautiful Sue. It's nice to have the small selection of staimens in with the orange blossom dies, although I still love sugaring my dandilion dies to add to the centre of some of my flowers especially when I can't feel the small staimens to pick them up ! To anyone thinking 'use tweezers, I can't pinch them together.
I really like the look of the embossed apature, I also emboss the card sometimes to cut as a frame and that looks quite nice on a wideish frame on a plain piece of card, makes a nice change to reverse it sometimes.

Hope your planning and organising for AP are going well, I've set up the box to record as I watch, can't wait to get a front seat lol.
Well Sue, I will end by sending my usual hugs to you, and the lovely ladies in the fb group that pop in plus hugs to Tina E & Sam. Am hoping to get out today as the tummy monster reared its ugly head again yesterday and wiped me out ! Such is life xxx

  28. Good morning Sue and crafters all,
Wow, wow this card is so pretty and your choice of dies - well what do we say Excellent.
I agree with many comments today about Hochanda being great for demo's , presenters are usually very good and like to "help" but their personal preferences should be kept to themselves , maybe it's me but I do not want to know theirs. They are there to help sell the products. I being on a pension cannot afford big bundle prices and like Nanna Tina do shop around - Julia Watts gives a discount on show products on her website.
Hope all CE team enjoy Ally Pally. I would love to go but with travel being expensive will watch on TV.
    Love and crafty hugs

Beautiful card and I love the embossed aperture. I remember you once showed how to emboss with the die still in place so that you get a defining line between the embossing and the aperture but I can't remember how you did it and I'm scared to try in case I ruin the embossing folder or worse the die!! Hope you have a great time at AP wish I could go but flights from Belfast and then a hotel would leave no money to buy any of your lovely products so I'll watch you on Hochanda instead

I'm smiling a lot though because I got some happy mail...yes, I finally got around to ordering a couple of new dies from Amazon so I'm now the proud owner of the Daisy Cluster and the Petite Peony Cluster. I'm really going to have fun with those :)
