You Are In My Thoughts

Hello bloggers!  Today's card  is a pretty framed number which could easily be used for a number of occasions with an easy change of sentiment.  I started by cutting the Ornate Frame Brighter Days die in coconut white card.  I backed it with sky blue card for a soft look.  I stamped my sentiment in black then framed it with the inner die from the Tessa die set.  I cut a frame using the inner circles from the Ornate frames Brighter Days and the Ornate Frame My Friend die sets to create a thin frame for my sentiment.   I cut several frames from the Double pierced Square Noble die set  and Double Pierced Square Noble Set B set to create a layered white frame for my card.   I cut four corners from the Swirly Lace Edger and adhered them to the inside corners of the frame as accents.  I just love the way they appear to be holding the square die shape in place.   Finally I completed my card by piercing a white mat, adding a thin blue mat and one more white mat layer.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8" in size.  All for now,  Sue x

  14. Hi Sue. Gorgeous card, love how you've put the little accents peeking out from the frame. I think you're going to have a run on Set B of the squares as I can already see that I'm not the only one who bought set A but now knows they need set B!!! This is the sort of card you need to make two of - one to give to someone and one to keep. Sue XXX

Anybody in touch with Tina E, please say many of us are devastated to hear the dreadfully sad news of Evie and send much sympathy and love. Truly, a big group hug.

    1. If you look back at the CE blog Tina's blog link was on the Tuesday blog days. I know she isn't blogging just yet and after such an awful heartbreak it's going to be a while yet but I know that when she can bring herself to go near her blog again she may find a little comfort in reading the messages left for her and the family. I can't even begin to tell you the amount of hurt and pain in her voice when she phoned that awful day and since. So thank you P xx

Please excuse my absence over the weekend - a busy one with friends and family. Have just looked back at your weekend posts and they are (as always) stunning. The background in the aperture is so gorgeous and I will look forward to the video a bit later.
And Sundays card - well I will reiterate what I said last week about the blushing pansies - they are sensational.
Congratulations to all this weeks winners - enjoy your soon to arrive gifts x
I was thinking of you yesterday Sue. I know many of you dread Mothers Day having lost your mums so big hugs to all of you. Me and the boys had a very lazy day and I was treated to a take away. They do make an effort on Mothers day and stay in with me. Those occasions are rare so I appreciate them a lot.
Sun and blue skies again today although it is quite chilly - but I like that kind of weather. I had great pleasure in hanging out washing for the first time this year - I am realising that it is the small simple things that make me smile these days. More happy later when the washing comes in and I will sniff and inhale as I adore the smell of washing when it has been drying outside. Come on you lot - I can't be the only one x
TRACY - happy birthday for Saturday but I hope you are recovering from all that wild partying. Just remind your hubby that there are far worse addictions you could have - lots of love x
MARIA and P IN WALES - George found his way back and has had many outings and managed to make it home in one piece so far x
TRES - hope you start to feel more human very soon x
HELEN - sounds like you need another holiday to get over you being poorly x
WHEELY BAD - congrats on your new castors and tyres. Take it easy - hugs x
LAINE - here's hoping you don't get too many sleepless nights - after all let's face it - if anyone needs plenty of beauty sleep it's you - lol x
    LORRAINE - huggles x
LINDA - not used George as a taxi yet - might wait til he has a bit more experience - not a brilliant passenger x
TINA E - sending you heartfelt love - thinking of you x
All for now. Big smiles, hugs and love to you all

  101. Good afternoon lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

What a fantastic card showing just how versatile the frames and tags range is- the square nobles are stunning, I haven't bagged these particular beauties yet, I got the rectangle A and B set first, but it clear that I have to get a move on and save the pennies for their cousins too. They create such a crisp, professional looking frame that really showcases the focal point most beautifully. As for the Tessa die, it is clearly begging to be added to my die family, the Grace die is lonely and wants a baby sister to play with:-)
Love the colour choice, very fresh and springlike and reminds me of coloured Easter eggs. Will definitely try this when I have invested in some more dies....it will take a lot of persuasion after my previous weeks extravagances though:-(
Apologies for my rude absence yesterday, I had a rather busy day making up to my Mum for not having made a suitable celebration of her status. I had a quiet afternoon when she was out with my brother and nephew to repair the slight so I set about creating a Sue special....at least that was the plan....I was super organised creating the card base then getting to work on the embossing and die cutting oblivious to the fact that I was making a couple of small errors. I then stamped and embossed my flowers before setting about assembling the design. To my horror I discovered that I had made a slight error in the size of my channel so I decided to get out the pearl strips to hide the gap, then I noticed that my frame was the wrong size.....by this stage I had spent three hours nearly creating my ''masterpiece' and had lost the will to live ever so slightly....I guess I'm a bit rusty having not made any cards since Christmas, but that's no excuse really is it? I did manage to salvage it somewhat but it wasn't perfect and I was so annoyed with myself especially when I didn't have time to create another before my mum arrived back. Thankfully my mum was pleased regardless but I'm embarrassed to have it displayed:-(
I was thinking of you Sue yesterday, as well as those who have sadly lost their mums....the card with the pansy wreath a beautiful sentiment was an appropriate tribute and extremely beautiful.
Tina E, I am so sorry for your loss, life can be so cruel at times and senseless. I hope that you and your family find some comfort together during this traumatic timexxxx
Yvonne, I don't need any beauty sleep I'll have you know! Remember that Thelma was the recognised hottie, known for her beauty and sex appeal whereas Louise was the bitter and OLDER half of the partnership, sound familiar?
I've not had a husband to add the years to my face, lines and grey hairs plus I haven't given birth so my body is devoid of sagging and stretch marks, can you say the same my dear?:-)
Lorraine, hugs and hope you feel better soonxxx
Wheely bad, congrats on getting your wheelchair back, I'm sure that it's a godsend to you. Hope you and Billy are okayxxx
Hugs to Maria, P, Pam, Rebecca, Tracy, Beth, Linda, and all on need of a cuddlexxxx
Just a note, I am a mother to two fur babies who forgot that it was Mothering Sunday , I had thought that Brodie would have at least tried to rustle up a card but no, I was sadly neglected, I feel that I need to console myself with a few more dies to mend my breaking heart:-)if you want something, get it yourself!

    Love and crafty hugs

  114. Hello Sue,
I love your card today using that very pretty Ornate frame-brighter days die.
It makes such an attractive card and looks lovely in every colour!
Unfortunately, I don't have either of the sets of Ornate frames yet having just bought another brand of large Squares just before Sue's came out!
I can see how useful they are and are top of my List!

  125. Hi Sue,

Lovely card just wish I could get myself back in my craft room to produce some of the beautiful cards you share, just don't have an energy these days.

I hope all you lovely Mum's had a special day yesterday. I got spoilt as usual by my boys although I do hate them spending so much money on me when just seeing them makes me so happy.

Laine I'm sure you will forgive Brodie for not making a card, he may have just lost his artistic mojo hehe!! I never got cards of my fur babies but I did get lots of kisses and cuddles x

    Hugs
    Linda xx

  126. Hi Sue. What a wonderful card today !!! I really love it all. I am lucky enough to have both the Pierced Square Dies set A and B. It is the Ornate Frame Brighter days dies that I am after instead !!! I also need / want / must have both of the Rectangle die sets to but have a lot of pennies to save first before I can buy those dies !!! Your frames look fab Sue and your brighter days frame is absolutely beautiful and yet another "must have" die set for me !!! It has actually been on my wish list for quite a while now. I love the colour combo you have used. Really lovely. Thank you for sharing your lovely card today Sue. It is beautiful. Thining of you and sending you lots of love and hugs from Tres x x x

  144. Had to delete the last comment as I am getting so confused as I am trying to catch up on the comments lol
it has been nothing but hospital, doctors and physio for the last week.
At least I now know what is wrong with my back but sadly can't be fixed so I am as
good as I am ever going to be but things could be worse.

Back to the card which I love especially the beautiful centre die and also love the delicate colour you have used.
Another beautiful stunner from you Sue.
