Hello bloggers! Here's a colour combo that I don't often use, but it is white and milk card together and it gives a real soft look to a classic card design. The Lattice Window striplet just makes such a pretty background, doesn't it! The video will show you a few tricks for your dies too.
The finished dimensions are 8" x 8 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

GM Sue. I do love your strip!et dies, especially this one as I love lattice. I've not done a milk and white card. Don't know why. Think I should. Will watch video later. Will you be posting a video anytime soon of your zigzag border? I am thinking of using it for Hubby's bday card needed for early April. But not sure the best way to use it yet. Got this striplet die as part of my Christmas present but have yet to use it. This demo has encouraged me to get it out and have a play with it. Interesting how the simple combination of white and milk can have such a beautiful and delicate outcome. Another one to play with!

ReplyDeleteTalking about things arriving...|I had a mystery package delivered this morning. I was expecting something from Amazon but this was in a plain white jiffy bag, no return address on it and no postmark. When I opened it I couldn't stop smiling as there were some dies inside, along with a lovely note from the sender.
Now...I would LOVE to thank you by name...but you forgot to sign the note. So, to my anonymous gifter, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I can't wait to use them. You are a star, my friend and I can't put into words just how grateful I am. xx

ReplyDeleteHi Sue. Late today, spent the day Lottie sitting as our daughter has training days and return to work days before she comes to the end of her mat leave. Bloomin NHS,if you don't do these days you are penalized financially, something to do with maternity pay ! It's all above my head and comprehension lol if it has nothing to do with craft I just 'don't get it' I struggle enough trying to suss out some craft projects let alone the do's and dont's about going back to work, in my day you had so long to inform your company of you were returning and that was it, not now !
ReplyDeleteTalking of craft, I was chuffed to bits when Foundations started doing bright white, I got stocked up with 3 packs, it's like a newly starched bright white shirt, it's so elegant, I do really love a true bright white. I love it as much as my triplet on today's gift, it has so many used, it's absolutely fantastic Sue, a brilliant die. As long as I don't nod off later - which I'm certain it stands a chance, I shall watch your tutorial. Other than that, I shall watch it tomorrow as I know my body will revolt after what I've put it through today ! My joints are already humming so it doesn't bode well for a pain free Friday (mind you I'd like just one pain free day) but heyho, that's life for sure.
So yes, thank you for a beautiful card and as usual your tutorial will be another learning curve for me.

ReplyDeleteThis is a bonnie card sue and although i don't yet have that striplet it is just under the Hannah and Maggie dies that i want. I love the soft creamy colour of the milk coloured card and against the stark whiteness of the white card it just goes together like coffee and gingernuts to me(gingernuts is a must with a cup of coffee not right with tea). I like how this striplet is more versastile than the other because of the two cutting frames and inserts. Gorgeous.
Sorry haven't been that clever for the last wee while but hopefully it has passed again for another spell. Pam flower, oh how i feel for you as it is so hard just trying to get through the days but i hope that you have found some inner peace and that you can remember the happy times with Tim. Sending hugs your way flower to keep you going and keep your spirit up. Hugs on their way to Sue as well although i know that your Mothers day is not until May i think but it doesn't matter which one it was i still know that you will be thinking of your wee Mum.

After springing into action (well sort of), earlier than usual yesterday morning it made sense that I was absolutely knackered when I turned in last night. But could I sleep? Meeting u in person would be fantastic - you never know - stranger things have happened. Can you imagine a mass assembly of Wilsonettes? You make sure you leave your 42 year old posterior in one place til you feel better. Nothing to feel guilty about. When you start to feel like your old self you will be hankering after a duvet day and won't have a valid excuse to indulge x
BEJAY - so sorry to hear about your neighbour. So young. Hope things went as well as they could despite the weather. I will look forward to the forthcoming chapters in your amaryllis story. I am hopeless with plants. Our neighbour gave us a poinsettia for Christmas and my heart sank as I expected it to be dead within a week. It is still going strong which is a huge shock to everyone as they know my track record. That surprise parcel must have been just what was needed to bring a smile to your face. Lots of love x
