Curved Frame Card

Hi guys!  Today's card is a bit different with a lovely curve to it.  Basically a "hand to" someone sort of card rather than post it, but it does make for a pretty presentation!

The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  10. Lovely card, Sue, do like the curved top. Really quite a fan of microbeaded papers - esp this Teresa Collins pad (which I have but generally just look at!) She was on C@C yesterday - selling a craft work station for £1000 less a penny - and I think they sold out!! It was fabulous for people with little space and lots of money. Thanks for the video, Sue, the card seems easier to achieve than it first appears.
Tracy - wishing you well for the radiotherapy starting today.
Our furry friends - Lauren and Scamp, hope they continue to improve.

  26. Hi Sue. The past few days have been really hard healthiest but your breath taking cards have lifted my spirits. Phone decided to disconnect from WiFi and I'd not noticed consequently used all my contract allowance ! But lovely phone guys gave me 500mb to use till April 2nd how far that will get me I've no idea I'm not the best when technology is concerned but the bigger the app etc the more megabytes are used, so I shall be popping in but may only leave the odd very quick comment, no essay from me lol.
Hope you are ok Sue. Sending my love as usual xx

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh a very big WOW for this card today, just watched the video and I must say it looks so much easier to us the acetate as the folds instead of cardstock which is what I have used in the past for these types of cards, I am going to be trying this one out, and also I liked the papers you used too.

  55. Hi Sue & lovely Wilsonettes***Wow Sue, Pretty indeed, in fact I would go so far as to say that this divine work of art is a heavenly creation of blissful pleasure, & for this one (as with all of your phenomenal creations) you certainly have my heartfelt & unconditional gratification for sharing this & the video with us. I adore the Cathedral die, it is ONE of my absolute favourites, I have so many*Lol & without a shadow of a doubt you do this magnificent beauty an incredible justice. I can visualise this in a presentation box with the Cathedral die & acetate on the lid, thanks for the tip, by the way, on cutting the acetate I have tried this before without success but now know that it was slightly too thick to work as it should do, but now with your wonderful tip it will be onward & upward to triumphant victory (once I buy the thinner acetate that is). The Teresa Collins pad looks delightful but by all accounts of the comments on your blog Sue it cannot be as delicious & as delightful as your own paper pad. Love the word ‘EYEBALL’ Sue it tickles me into a chuckle every time I hear it spoken x x x

I’m happy to report my friends (fingers crossed) that Lauren has come on in leaps & bounds, last night, for the first time since Friday aft’ she brought her ball out of the toy box to play, she splats it with her paw to us & we have to gently tippy toe it back to her, she’s a footballer in the making I think as you will see in Sept’ LAINE x, this way she keeps her muscles supple, plays to her own pace & can stop & rest when she wants to. Looks like the little birdie was singing sweetly after all with regards to these impending new dies, myyyyyy mistake, you are all simply buzzing with eager anticipation, looks like I shall retrieve my hat sooner rather than later after all, it may already be buzzing with expectation but where was I when all this exhilaration began Lol x

Well I must close for now my friends Love ‘n’ (((HUGS))) to you all, to all adorable 4-Paws & to you & your family Sue. Take care Beth B x x x x x

  76. Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
This is a pretty card Sue with the little orange blossom going up across the frame and sentiment and that wee bit different with the bow in the card by the acetate. The micro beads mute the brightness of the paper which for me is more pleasing to the eye as Teresa's papers are quite bright for my taste. Thank you flower for bringing such a lovely card to us from your inspiring mind.
What a gorgeous day we have up here in Central Scotland with my hills just so bold against the sky that they look like the sky is a picture with the hills being a 3d model put in front of it. Yesterday i had a wonderful day out with my other 3 Mary's who came down and across to see me, boy do those beautiful ladies do me the power of good and brighten up my day and days for long after they are gone home again. I have sore sides with all the giggling and laughing that they bring, what a brilliant day. Today i can get all my house work done that never seen a hoover or duster yesterday, hee hee but that is what you do and lets face it i would much rather be seeing them and enjoying their company than that off Mr Dyson(who has a mind all of his own) or Mr Sheen and his duster.

A beautiful card today using one of my favourite dies!
I love the acetate curve and will have to try this as it will be a great idea for "special occasion cards" to be delivered in a box!

  129. Hi Sue, sorry to be so late today, I popped by this morning but wanted to watch the video before commenting. A beautiful card, very pretty and delicate. I love the cathedral die, hoping to get this and the lattice window next month. I do use acetate, mostly at Christmas or in box lids, but have never cut out the centre - a whole new world has opened up for me.

Hope everyone has had a good day, sleep well.

  130. Hello Sue

I love this acetate fronted card. So unusual. The colours from the paper pad muted with micro beads, and the delicate pink of those gorgeous flowers make it really pretty.

Enjoyed watching the video too. Thank you.
