Finishing Touches

Hi bloggers!  Another trio of beautiful dies for you during this post.  Two new florals and my first heart die set.  Once again, these florals have been designed to add that floral element without adding dimension to your cards.  The Petite Peony Cluster and the Daisy Cluster both have a lazy C shape to them so they look fabulous with any of your circles or ovals.  The Petite Peony Cluster, shown here, makes a fabulous border as well.  The Heart of Hearts die is my first and each piece of the fall away from this die is, in fact,  also a heart, so there are so many things that you can do with this one!  I hope you like these as much as I do!  Let me know what you think when you leave a comment!  I hope you can get back by the blog for the final post today at 4pm.  Hope to see you then.  All for now, Sue x

  17. Gorgeous card Sue: blue and white is my all-time favourite colour combination. It's great to see several of the new dies working together. I think the heart would be brilliant for lots of different people - you could make it pretty, fun and funky or grungy depending on the recipient.
Looking forward to the final posting this afternoon.

  41. Hi Sue

Another trio of a slightly different style to past releases but oh my word, I ADORE those dinky little peonies! How cute are they?! I love the borders you made with them on the card. This trio would go so well with rubber stamps of little characters- of the sorts we like to colour in, as well as other dies.

Oh dear, from reading the mornings comments to posting to now I fear I have forgotten most of what I was going to say... oh dear, I shall try my best regardless!

Tracey, I hope they got the line in. It'd be a big frustration to have to wait. I agree, what a farce for them to not do the procedure to fit the alternative line, sure you're not the only chemo patient who has had that issue after all! I shall stop getting cross now and just send you plenty of hugs to get you by xxx

Lancs Steph, I hope you're ok. I've not seen your comments and I hope everything is alright. Maybe I'm just commenting at different times. Take care and hugs xxx

Melody, and Molly, I hope Grandad Francis is home asap, hugs xxx

    Heather, Happy Anniversary, hugs xxx

D'ya know, I'm now suffering brain freeze so hugs all round, especially to Rebecca in CO, Laine, Lorraine F, Theresa W, Marg, Maria, Lynda, Myra, Beth B, Alimecca, Jan (Long Island), Yvonne, Janet Ecco, Tina, Saba, Cheryl, Sandra, Norah and all the other lovely people I "talk" to... Apologies if I missed anyone... Hugs to all the Wilsonettes, wherever in the world you are. There's plenty hugs for everyone!

See you after 4pm for the last post! This has been such fun!

Oh my goodness. So special. These flower dies are such gorgeous embellishments and it goes without saying that I just have to have them.
I have been having a bit of a sort out and put some things up the loft. Whilst up there I came across a box full of photographs. Decided to have a little look through and 2 hours later I was still there viewing photos of the boys when they were young enough to not answer back and keep their rooms tidy.
Anyway as a consequence of my actions the afternoon has almost gone and it is almost time for our last post in this launch.
I will catch up on everyone's comments between now and my next comment - promise

  137. Good afternoon lovely Sue and the fabulous Wilsonettes!

Oh...my...Gosh! Can I just say that this card is absolutely stupendous, my favourite example by a mile, and IF I had been unsure about any of the dies featured, that would no longer be the case. Sometimes I am not immediately taken upon my first viewing of the dies in their packaging, however, cards like this force me to consider ever drastic measures....anyone in need of a fully functioning kidney?...to be able to buy the ENTIRE collection!
I love the versatility of the lazy c shape, borders, frames, accents, the list is endless. I can't wait to see your examples featuring the heart shape either, is it possible to paper piece with this die in different colours, or would that be just too fiddly? we'll see....
I can't believe that there's only one more post, what will I do with all that time on my hands? Christmas cards I hear you say! I'm ashamed to admit that I have neglected my duty of late and shop bought emergencies may make an appearance at some stage, shocking state of affairs I know but my friend Gill is popping by tomorrow for a crafting session so if Brodie doesn't lend a helping paw I may have a card at the end of it this time:-)
Maria, thanks for your well wishes for me and my babies- Darcey is Brodies older, more sophisticated companion....I say companion, I actually mean competitor for our affections and occasional punchbag!....and she is in a massive huff at the moment because my mum has succumbed to my pleading...it only took five years of trying....and got rid of the kitchen table she bought 36 yrs ago. Darcey loved the chairs and used to sleep on them every day so their absence has not gone unnoticed- we had a lovely oak table with six leather chairs as a replacement but she has yet to sit on it out of protest- cats can really bear a grudge and make you pay in ways I won't even begin to explain:-( Brodie, apart from the occasional aberration, has been as good as gold of late, I think the weather has put a dampner on his antics somewhat and he's gone into semi hibernation...I know the feeling:-) or perhaps he's behaving so that Santa brings him a new lead and reflective harness for Christmas...
Tracy, fingers crossed this means you have the go ahead to begin treatment this week, hope they don't keep you waiting their usual hours for your prescriptionxx
Linda, hope you feel a bit better for the graduation ceremony tomorrow, congratulations and enjoyxxx
Wheely Bad, like you I am suffering from a severe case of brain freeze, struggling to remember everyone's comments, and even my own! So apologies if I have missed anyone but I blame age, not bad manners:-)
See you all at 4ish for our final post:-(

    Love and crafty hugs

  155. I really like the idea of using the flower arch as a border. It is so nice that you think of many different ways to use something and adapt your dies to that. Makes you feel as though you are really getting a lot of design capabilities for the money.

  156. Good afternoon Sue,
I love the little swags that you have made from the tiny peony clusters just giving a scalloped edge to the sides of your card. I do like the blue and white, its so clean and fresh looking. The little swags of peonies are so pretty just adding that touch down the sides of the striplet to frame it and the oval of the Grace tags/frame set. A beautiful card that is sure to give someone a lift with its beauty. Thank you Sue for all the beauty that you have put our way these past numerous days as you have worked so hard and we can see the example of your hard work in the beauty of the new dies and the work of sheer art that you have been putting on display for us.
    Love and crafty hugs

  157. Hello Sue

What beautiful dies the all are. I am loving the daisy die in particular (I have a granddaughter by that name - so it would be a perfect die to use on her greeting card)

I believe that all of these dies would be useful to add a pretty, delicate look to any card.
