  32. Morning Sue.
Such a lovely card for the little one's as their excitement reaches bursting point while waiting for that very important man to visit. I love to use acetate on my children's cards for market, I even use it on my gift tags for children's parcels it makes a fun 'wobble ' tag for something different.
As you asked for our opinions on with or without, I say both look great but the with just makes it stand out more, overall Sue, a lovely background idea and a smashing card for the little one's or those young at heart lol.

Diane Cutter (FB) I see you peeking in, come on your can do it lol will check back later to read your comment lol.

Sending love to our Sam, Alison and TOB and to my other special friends that hopefully visit today.
Have a lovely day Sue whatever your planning.

    Morning Sue
A beautiful Flying Santa this morning.
I have to admit to liking the one you made on your video with the black backing to HoHoHo. It just gives it the edge and lifts it a little.
This is one gift that just has to be made in Red/White no other colours would do.

At last it's dry this morning and at the moment we have a little sunshine. Fingers crossed that it stays this way as I have to go and have my Flu jab this afternoon.

To all in pain or suffering today I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe whatever you're doing today. See you tomorrow.

Laine - tsk! tsk! You should indeed be ashamed of yourself, I thought all self-respecting Scots knew that baffies are slippers lol

Txcowgirl - prayers winging their way across the Atlantic for Greg.

  98. Hello Sue,
This is a great card for the children . I prefer it with the shadow! I have become a shadow convert and confess to using that top tip many times!
Melody - thinking of you all! Waiting is not easy . Thinking of you all and praying something can be done for Francis. You are so right about Pam - I said last week I think it was that Pam always gets us off on the right foot!
Txcowgirl - I do and I will. We sometimes forget who is in control and it's good to be reminded. Sending hugs across the Pond to you and your family at this difficult time.
Laine - I'm soooo sorry I let you down as well by washing my tin!! I don't do it any more. I wondered if baffies were old comfortable shoes/ slippers! I haven't heard it since I was a child. That wasn't yesterday - you understand!!!
I see Maureen and I make Yorkshires to a standard! Saba clearly makes them to the Royal Standard!
Frances - Fluffycat - I wonder if England or Scotland got the better deal! Ha ha. Let's just say fair exchange! Have you still got your English accent?
Well, I've rambled on a bit today! It's good to talk , as the slogan from BT once said!!
    Love to all,

I think this is a very effective card and would be appropriate for anyone. Santa's Sleigh is brilliant and I can imagine many people (especially men, lol) playing with it. I am a fan of shadowing, so that is the winner for me, I think it was more apparent at a distance. Thanks for sharing.

  110. Ho, Ho, Ho to all. Nice technique with the paint, wax paper and mica powder, a "Mother of Pearl" look. This Cabbibean die is one of my favorite dies to use. I prefer the card with the black shadow die set behind the red cut out which coordinates nicely with the black color of Santa and his Sleigh. The technique of suspending Santa and his Sleigh is clever!

  111. This card is fun, I like it a lot. doubling the sentiment with w black shad certainly makes it pop so I prefer the video version. Some interesting new methods here, makes me want to try it when I get some gloss card.

With having so much to do for the wedding of my very special neice and mum's house i have not been able to keep up the same with what is going on. My thoughts and prayers to all our friends and i have everything i can crossed that you all get good news soon as i know just how devasting this horrible disease is both myself and loosing my beloved daddy to it. 128. Sue, this is just so stinkin' cute. Different from your usual, but still has the Sue Wilson flare. Love it.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and many prayers. How wonderful to know Jesus is receiving petitions on Greg's behalf from all over the globe. Even though I haven't met you all personally, we already share a bond through Sue and her cards. We all have an appreciation for the beauty in this life. This made it even easier to share about this situation with all of you than others, perhaps because we share a compassion. So thank you so much especially for the prayers.

Tracy praying for your healing also. God does heal, my best friend from high school was diagnosed with bc at an early age,34. Today she is a healthy 60 year old. Thankfully there has been some great strides made for this form of cancer.

    Christ's love to everyone.

  136. Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Joy of joys! Another fabulous Chrimbo card to delight us with and fill us with festive cheer. Today's is a fun example of the side of Christmas that brings out the inner child in us, I love it! I watched the demo a month or so ago and really felt inspired by the background technique , I haven't tried it yet so I will refresh my memory, buy the dies and give it a go for myself , the results are stunning! Love the colour palette, matches Santas outfit, and the sentiment really pops when it is offset with black card, a real must do for all future sentiments methinks!
It's been another busy day, Keith, a framer that I have known for over 15 yrs popped by with Mums belated birthday gift, three framed cross stitch pictures featuring a tiger and it's cubs, a male lion and two lion cubs. The have turned out really well and she was over the moon.
Then our friend Gill popped by for a chinwag- she's a fellow crafter who I used to attend a glass fusing workshop with and we made bowls, candle holders and screens, pictures, coasters etc, until it closed down last year:-( we arranged for an afternoon of Christmas card making in the style of Sue next Friday- I'm going to attempt to show her how achievable it is to recreate one of Sues cards with a little help from the great lady's videos...it could be a car crash but it should be fun nontheless...and at least I'll be making a start on them!
Theresa, I remember spangles well, I named a cat after them such was my devotion. Wagon wheels were indeed colossal but as with everything they have shrunk beyond all recognition. Do you remember Wham Bars? I once had a loose tooth come out onto one whilst I was watching The Posideon Adventure one Christmas...ahh, a misspent youth! Christmas used to be a real occasion on the tv with all the blockbuster movies, now it's just never ending repeats and James Bond movies.
Frances&Myra, so, bafties are slippers! I feel utterly ashamed at my ignorance, I bow my head in shame and promise to acquaint myself with my mother tongue forthwith:-)
Tracey, hope you received some good news regarding your lymph nodes and that your operation gets the green lightxxx
Melody, good luck with Francis' hospital visit, hope you receive some encouraging newsxxx
Saba, welcome back, hope you enjoyed your trip
Beth, Deb C, Yvonne , hope you're all doing peachy, has BCAS officially disbanded now due to lack of success?
Healing hugs to all our lovely Wilsonettes who need them, particularly txcowgirl and Gregxxx

  140. Hello Sue
Love your flying Santa, it's such a lovely card. I think the shadowed sentiment just has the edge for me. I really must get some chalk paint, the effect you have achieved with the mica is brilliant. Need some acetate too!! Sue, you are costing me a fortune, but you're worth it.

Special thoughts for Melody and Francis, for Tracy and for CX Cowgirl. You are all in my prayers.

    Love and hugs for all

I love this card Sue, and Santa still lands on my roof every year. I hear the sleigh bells!!
Oh I want to send love and prayers for all those who are battling for themselves, and others, to beat Cancer and other illnesses. Saba has mentioned some of them in her post, and I want to add others who know who they are.

  144. Happy to say that I have 'Santa's Sleigh' and have used him on some of my cards. Your shadowed sentiment is the one I prefer - it somehow ties in with the black Santa better and pops the words too. I didn't realise until I watched the video that you'd suspended Santa on acetate. He's really flying now!

  156. Really pretty card Sue. I love the Santa die. I used silver flakes on the moon and many many tree below in layers. I also cut several more reindeer and and them 2 x 2 and used some red glitter on Rudolphs nose. It's amazing how many different cards you can make with one focal element!
