Fabulous Christmas card today, I have all the dies except the noble again, every time I think I will get some noble dies some more Christmas or other dies are released and they wait again, lol !! Will have to see what I can substitute and with a new die release this week who knows when the Nobles will finally make it to my stash.
Hope everyone is having a good week, glad to hear you are having some sunshine

    Morning Sue
Today's gift just shows how to make the most beautiful snow scene so serene and peaceful until Santa come along flying across the sky just to finish off a beautiful gift for anyone of any age.

I didn't buy your Tree dies but I'm beginning to think that I really NEED them.

We have a very dull and grey morning here in Sheffield.
To all in pain and suffering today I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

  61. Hello Sue & WW!

This card caused me to exclaim out loud "ohhhh, that's so pretty!" As if I expected you to hear me! Lol! It ran a little tingle of child-like Christmas wonder through me. You can't ask for more than that of a Christmas card! Thank you very much! I'm eager to watch the video and learn!

Nancy R-what US online store is going to start carrying Sue's dies? That's very exciting news!

I'm glad the sunshine finally made it to some of you! I was beginning to wonder if the postal service intercepted the package and decided to keep it for themselves. I'm happy to say we had a little rain on & off here today, which nicely cooled things down a bit.

Maureen & Wheely Bad, thank you for asking :) -my Great Grandmother, Keturah Mariah Waya (sp?) was born in Bristol. The short story is that when Keturah was very young, her mother died while giving birth to another child. Her Father was unable to care for Keturah and placed her in the Ashley Down orphanage where she grew up. When she turned 18, she joined her older brother in the U.S. (where he had moved some years earlier). She fell in love with one of his friends and they married and had 5 children. I never had the pleasure of meeting my great grandparents as they both passed before I was born. My mother, however, has wonderful memories of them. So there is some British blood running through my veins. Perhaps that's partly why I feel a kinship in this blog!

Like others have mentioned, I originally didn't think I needed the trees. I have several evergreen trees in various sizes from other companies - BUT, they don't have the wonderful embossing these do! So, of course I bought them! I don't regret it in the least!
I could (& as u all know, often do) go on forever, but alas it's back to the 12+ hours a day work grind so I better catch some zzzz's first!
Happy, healthy Tuesday to everyone. Hugs all around for any who want one!

Wow! Absolutely stunning card anyone would be thrilled to receive. The smoothies make blending so easy and doesn't leave an edge as I found using the blending blocks did. The trees and deer are my most used from that launch, I love the various sizes of trees they make it so easy to create 'a scene'. Santa zooming across the sky finishes the card off perfectly.

This is a make me go all gooey inside card. So Christmassy and would appeal to adults and delight any child. I think it is beautiful and it's a real make me smile kind of card x

I am still feeling quite fragile after the wild partying on Sunday. By wild partying I actually mean that I sat in a beautiful wicker garden chair in a section of my friends garden that was a suntrap being waited on hand and foot. I expect that it was my being fabulous for the afternoon that tipped me over the edge. Lol x

My energy levels are going to take a few days to adjust and I am now planning to charge my batteries so that Ally Pally will be a certainty. I know that I will find the day exhausting but I am prepared to take that chance so that I can meet fellow Wacky Wisonette's and Her Majesty Queen Sue x

I will be honest I have not been able to catch up on Saturday, Sundays ad Mondays comments as my concentration levels are not good when I am in recovery mode. I find the fatigue so frustrating as it affects everything I want to do. So going to focus on today's comments x

Rebecca - lovely for you to share the story about your Great Grandmother. Sad beginning but lovely happy ending. I've said it before and I'll say it again - this blog is so wonderful as it has the ability to allow us to share things with people who in reality we hardly know. It is a fabulous 'haven' to allow us to chat to friends who we have a bond with. I cannot think of anything else like it. That and many of us are bonkers x

Can I ask if anyone else is finding that the Hochanda schedule is not always corresponding with what is actually showing on the screen?

Not much planned for today. Lots I should be doing but my bottom is going to take route in a comfy chair which reclines!!

Have a lovely day everyone. Lots of love and hugs to everyone especially those who are not feeling 100% or going through a tough time.

  128. Good afternoon Sue and the lovely Wilsonettes!

Ooh, I feel all warm and fuzzy inside, this card evokes a real crisp, Christmasy atmosphere and would appeal to child and adult alike- so sorry Sue , I will be unashamedly brazen in my total plagiarism of your work, it's just too gorgeous not to blatantly copy! Received the trees last week, so just need to get hold of the Santa and his sleigh and I'll be good to go. During the launch neither of these dies were top of my list, even though I liked them others took priority. But how wrong was I? I am so glad I purchased the trees because your winter scenes has been some of my most favourite cards so far this year and I cannot wait to start playing with them.
I got one of my deliveries this morning- I was in the bath at the time, do you think my Postie has learned his lesson and waited until I was indisposed just in case I rugby tackled him again? Well, it was my Lisbon and Porto dies which means that I have no excuses but to knuckle down and finish my Mums cards- am I alone in feeling more pressure to perform well for a loved ones card? Thank goodness I have Sue to keep my mo Jo in working order!
Really enjoyed my little bit of sunshine yesterday, still felt a tad guilty about abandoning the housework though. No such luck today, it's cloudy and dull despite promises of more sunshine so I've had to bit the bullet and get those chores done. I really wish that I could abandon the housework for crafting but the guilt overwhelms me and I don't enjoy creating as much. Still, there's always tomorrow I guess.
I am whipping myself into a frenzy over this weeks events- how lucky are we to have a die launch AND some tv appearances by our Sue, the Queen of craft! I can barely contain myself, it's more exciting than Christmas and birthdays rolled into one! I've offended my Mum, not to mention my bank manager, enough this past week so I don't think that I can risk another purchase just yet, but I will still enjoy the proceedings. If they had a support group for the chronic addiction to dies and crafting paraphernalia then I think that I would be shoved by my family to the front of the queue-I wouldn't be a willing participant though, there are some sicknesses that you just don't want a cure for!
Wheely Bad, luckily I wasn't arrested yesterday, I think that like you, the glare from my anaemic torso blinded the neighbours who dared to look:-) Just love your pet stories, my Brodie loves nothing more than lying on his back fully stretched with his front and back legs spread eagled, showing all of his bits unashamedly....your typical male really! Darcey is a lady, and much more refined choosing to curl up with her head in my hand and her paws in my other one.
Rebecca, thanks for sharing your story about your grt grandmother , she had a tough start in life but she was brave enough to start afresh in a new country and was rewarded for her efforts. How heartwarming .
Yvonne, how wise to reserve your energies for Ally Pally, when is it? Duvet days can be a real tonic but I worry about what mischief you may get up to when you eventually do return to active duty!
Beth, hope you are okay and haven't done yourself a mischief with a gardening implement:-) come back to us soon cos your missed! Hope all is well with Lauren and Hannah.xxx
I'm going to have a lazy afternoon now watching Sues video and Johns demos on Hochanda-hope the channel get their act together in time for the weekend.
Hugs to anyone who wants or needs themxxxx

    Love and crafty hugs,

  129. Yes, Yvonne G, Hochanda so frustrating re schedules. Phoned and asked if Sue's shows would definitely be on at the times Sue has told us. They said for certain, as the Big Names (BG and Sue) cannot be messed with (or words to that effect!) Full website due from noon tomorrow so expecting a better service and hopefully perfect by 8 p.m. on Saturday. BTW Craft Channel opening on 14th with some Dawn Bibby presence, but looks like no feeview at the moment unless all connected up - and I don't live in a connected up household lol! Think maybe craft overload??

What a stunning card for Christmas.........I love your design. I have the
Santa & Sleigh die, and the Festive Trees, so from that I should be able to
    do something similar.

Thanks so much for your inspiration as always.

  132. Beautiful card, Sue! I really think that I may do this years cards in a white on white with just a bit of color. I just don't know yet but really need to get started, don't I?

I love the Noble dies, but I hesitate to use them as I don't make such huge cards. Mostly no bigger than 5"x7", but I'm sure I can adapt them somewhat. But I think that I need to get the trees.

  143. Fantastic card Sue!
I love the winter scene you created, so cold and frosty looking.
I went to Craftworld in Glasgow at the weekend for a quick look and was shocked at how busy it was!! You could hardly move it was so crowded but the worst section was at Creative Expressions and particularly your dies! I think I will stick to going midweek when its quieter.
    Really enjoyed the video!!!!!

  148. Yet again a beautiful card Sue, I don't know how you manage to come up with all these beautiful ideas oh I wish I had your talent. I enjoyed watching the video you explain everything so well, thanks for sharing it with us.

To Julie, Zena and Theresa, its nice to know I'm not the only one who's husband has a little moan at us buying our craft goodies. I have tried to explain why we NEED!! them but it fell on deaf ears. At least I get my own way especially now I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and constantly in pain so crafting is about all I can manage to do these days.

Yvonne, I to have found Hochanda has been out of sync I think it is since it went off air yesterday, I'm not sure exactly how long it was off as I turned on and seen a message on screen that they had had problems and would be back on as soon as they could. It looks to me like they have just carried on where they left off and not changed the schedule to match.

Looking forward to tomorrow, I have already succumbed!!

Rebecca, if you are interested in your British family history, check out freebmd.org.uk. It's a free website and you can search for your great grandmother. Try searching for her forename first as it is quite unusual especially if you are unsure of her last name.
Let us know how you get on

  163. Hi Sue. Oh WOW, WOW, WOW !!!! What a stunningly gorgeous card !!!! I love it all !! I never really thought I needed the tree dies but they look so beautiful on your card today with all the lovely glitter on them. I think I really need them now. Another die set for my wish list. I love your beautiful stamping that you have done. You have created such a wonderful, magical, snowy scene. It looks so peaceful and Christmassy with the cute little Santa and Reindeers flying across the winter sky. This really is such a gorgeous card Sue. I think it may become one of my favourite Sue Wilson Christmas cards and I may have to buy the dies just so I can make my own version !! I love these New Noble shape dies to. 164. Hi Sue, did I really say back to normal today? I awoke this morning with a raging sore throat and someone playing the Anvil Chorus in my head! Consequently it has taken me three times as long as usual to do everything today. That'll teach me to go away for a couple of days lol. I love this card and the sugared trees showed up really well on the video and I will definitely be trying this. I have made moons before but have somehow always managed to get a hard edge on part of it. I am hoping my Smoothies work as well for me as they do for you. More than ready for my bed now but looking forward to seeing your new releases and your shows at the week-end.
