New Release Die Blog Launch-- Noble Dies
Hello crafters! Time for my autumn die release blog launch! I have the next four days filled with multiple posts showing off my latest collection. As always, I am giving away a set of each of the new dies and you only have to leave a comment to be included in the drawings. I will announce the winners on Wed. Sept 16th so that will give you plenty of time to have a look at all the posts! First up are my newest Noble Dies. I cannot tell you how many emails I have received asking me to do a set of large piercing dies. Well large it is! These sets are as big as I was able to make them and still fit through the A4 cutting machines! Shown here, you can see that you will be able to make nice large frames and because they are double pierced, you will have the detail on the inside and outside of each frame! There are both Double Pierced Squares and Rectangles sets as you can see from the packaging below, but you won't get a sense of the size until you see them in person, I promise! leave me a comment to be entered in the drawings for either of these sets. Good morning Sue. Gorgeous card, love it! Wow - pierced edges without going wonky, stabbing myself, getting to the end and finding it doesn't match up (or is this just me?)- these dies are going to be a staple in many of our craft stashes. My daughter asked me last night what I would like for my birthday, she suggested a spa day but now I know what I'm going to ask for - the pierced edge dies. I have just ordered a precision probe to do piercing, but these dies will save so much time and be much more accurate than me trying to do it. More to spend money on though, as I can't resist your beautiful designs Sue!

What a brilliant idea. I love the pierced edges but have difficulty with the task as my fingers are not as nimble as they were. These are going to be my birthday present to myself. Well done Sue. Morning Sue Fantastic!!!!! I cannot thank you enough for producing these dies. They are just what is needed. I cannot wait to see the actual size. Like many others my freehand cutting skills are terrible and sometimes it's like cutting the legs of a bar stool where you finish with a footstool.

Good Morning Sue Love the card and the flowers are so pretty! I have attempted piercing but my holes are never regular no matter what pokey tool I use! Lovely card and what useful dies to have. I do piercing with a ruler, but I find it quite slow and fiddly, and I don't always get it right! To have a die that does it perfectly is wonderful.
These will make life a lot easier for finishing with one of your famous borders as not all of us are adept with a ruler and piercing tool. They are great thanks.

Two oh-so useful sets of dies and 10 of each too - wonderful!...and an absolute godsend to those of us with dexterity problems as you will see from the comments...I'm going to go for the squares first as I'm hoping they'll mix and match nicely with my Basic and Grand sets

Good morning Sue, great useful Noble dies!!! This is the solution for my layering cards!!! I always use my "Guillotine" for that and it makes problems because everytime cutting is imprecise and the amount of sizes in your collection is fantastic. My favourites are the square dies. Rolf xxx

Pure genius, as are all of your dies but these are double no triple pure genius. This card is stunning and as always I just cannot put into words how wonderful you are. Lorraine - I know what you mean by pressure. Having said that I think they feel the pressure more when purchasing cards to give to me. I am a little concerned that you are under the impression that I am mischievous. Please do not think I am like you. I am an incredibly sensible, avoid any trouble kind of a girl with a reputation to uphold. Is this not obvious from my comments - lol. Ally Pally is fast approaching - 19th and 20th September. Two weekends of Sue - what more could a girl want. Hochanda this weekend and Ally Pally next. Such a shame you won't be there. Someone needs to take you in hand and teach you some decorum and I feel I could be just the person. Having said that I don't think a weekend would give us nearly enough time to achieve a satisfactory result which would avoid causing distress to the general public if you were allowed to mix with them x

Wow, Sue, you have stunned me with the first two sets! Of course, I want them both! I do hope they aren't goint to be exclusive to Hochanda, cos I can't buy from them, which peeves me no end. (they wont recognise my Irish address).

What a lovely surprise to see this charming card & the beginnings of your new launch, looking forward to seeing the stunning cards you are sure to grace us with over the next four days, love the colour of the roses EF & the flowers are so pretty & delicate. Sue I have pre-ordered these piercing dies so please DO Not Include My Name For The Drawing Of These 2 Sets, if I was lucky enough to have my name chosen then I would have to ask you to go through the whole ‘RIGMAROLE’ (I won’t tease you Rebecca; Lol; it means ‘going through a lengthy & complicated procedure’) of putting the set back in to be redrawn. But I will say that you are simply magnificent to listen to the requests of your Wilsonettes & yippee have you done us proud, I like a challenge but I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to possess something that would make piercing a more viable option for me.
LORRAINE; hope you are well my friend, I’m okay thank you for asking, the garden implements are safely locked away from me; Lol; I’m just rather drained going back to work. My doc says it would be better for me to give up work but until he says ‘I’VE GOT TO’ then I shall keep going for as long as I can, after all no wages, no CE SW goodies. Mr B helps me out when I need a new machine etc but he says buying the dies is down to me which is fair enough. Lauren & Hannah are well thank you, H will be 3 on April 1st; no joke & what was I thinking of; Lol; & Lauren will be 13 next Thursday. I have decided that pouncing, with excited anticipation, on the postie delivering your SW goodies is solely your privilege in fact I would go as far to say that it is your PATENT & your exclusive right; Lol; We had to have a post-box fitted outside on the wall when Lauren suddenly out of the blue decided, if we were out, she was going to chomp on anything that came through the letterbox in a brown-ish envelope/package; so needless to say the only way I could pounce on the poor unsuspecting postie was if I was to park my carcass in a chair out the front between 11am – 3pm, (but not in a bikini, one look at my also anaemic torso would have him take flight & he’ll never deliver here again; Lol). Hi Sue, Wonderful card, I suspect the background is another one of your brilliant techniques, but can't make out how you've done it. Those dies are very useful, doing away with the manual piercing to a large extent. I wonder how many crafters are as nifty as you with this technique - I know I'm not. What a surprise this morning to find the beginning of the new die launch- I was expecting our usual Wednesday card giveaway and was temporarily taken aback and rendered speechless, something that happens all too infrequently! Firstly, what a lovely card, adore the new happy birthday die, but the star of the show just has to be the pierced rectangles. I know that I am not alone in having dreamed of such a die as I battled to get a perfect result with my piercing ruler- using your technique has made my attempts more consistent and I do enjoy the process of piercing, however, to have the opportunity to get perfect results every time is an utter godsend. I have admittedly over stretched my finances this past week, my bank account always haemorrhages on payday, but I couldn't resist pre ordering the rectangles and I cannot wait to receive them. You are a legend, who never fails to cater for our every crafting need, Thankyou xxx Feeling a little rough today, I've had a throat and ear infection for five days now and it shows no sign of abating so my sympathies go out to fluffycat. In saying that, today's surprise has rejuvenated me no end. Beth, glad to hear that you haven't came a cropper with a gardening based implement, I would seriously miss your witty anecdotes and what would all of those little cherubs do without your loving guidance. Being around the young keeps us sprightly and young at heart so the longer that you can do the better for your mental well being. The same can be said for animals, I don't think Gizmo would have lived to the age of 17 if we hadn't have had a succession of younger playmates for him- so Hannah being that much younger than Lauren must have a positive effect on her. You have a real incentive to keep working though if Mr B refuses to fund your SW addiction, fair enough, at least he can't pass comment on whether you actually need another die , card pack or embellishment:-)xxxx Yvonne, my dear friend, it is with great regret that I cannot meet up with you at Ally Pally, you are so intuitive with your assessment of my uncontrollable propensity for debauchery- I could do with a firm hand at times and a strong moral compass and it appears that you could provide me with all of the above. You may be right though, unleashing me on an unsuspecting public may not be a good idea at this juncture, maybe with your careful guidance I could be trained before next years event and I could be trusted with the general public and our fellow Wilsonettes...are you up for the challenge? Diane, I forgot to wish you luck with your daughters move to bonny Aberdeen, it's a beautiful city and I'm sure she will love it there- it's meant to be one of the sunniest parts of Scotland, then again, it doesn't have much competition now, does it? Hi, Sue, Goodness, what a great start for the new release. These dies are fantastic and so BIG!! Just what I need as I still haven't got around to buying the piercing ruler lol. With a set of these dies I would at least know that all my holes would line up and look just wonderful. The card is beautiful...especially the little butterflies and pale blue flowers :). Good morning Sue. Gorgeous card, love it! Wow - pierced edges without going wonky, stabbing myself, getting to the end and finding it doesn't match up (or is this just me?)- these dies are going to be a staple in many of our craft stashes. My daughter asked me last night what I would like for my birthday, she suggested a spa day but now I know what I'm going to ask for - the pierced edge dies. ReplyDeleteLovely card and what useful dies to have. I do piercing with a ruler, but I find it quite slow and fiddly, and I don't always get it right! To have a die that does it perfectly is wonderful.

My wonderful hubby said something really silly the other day as I was browsing through your new dies(on a website) he said "are there any of Sues dies you would like" I looked at him and we both laughed, Silly question "I suppose you NEED them all" and that's the problem I do need them all.Bank Manager won't allow it so will order them as I can.

This is the solution for my layering cards!!!
I always use my "Guillotine" for that and it makes problems because everytime cutting is imprecise and the amount of sizes in your collection is fantastic.
My favourites are the square dies.

Theresa - yes I'm freeview as well. I do watch on my laptop but was curious. My recliner was well reclined for most of the afternoon/evening x
Lorraine - I know what you mean by pressure. Having said that I think they feel the pressure more when purchasing cards to give to me. I am a little concerned that you are under the impression that I am mischievous. Please do not think I am like you. I am an incredibly sensible, avoid any trouble kind of a girl with a reputation to uphold. Is this not obvious from my comments - lol. Ally Pally is fast approaching - 19th and 20th September. Two weekends of Sue - what more could a girl want. Hochanda this weekend and Ally Pally next. Such a shame you won't be there. Someone needs to take you in hand and teach you some decorum and I feel I could be just the person. Having said that I don't think a weekend would give us nearly enough time to achieve a satisfactory result which would avoid causing distress to the general public if you were allowed to mix with them x

Sue I have pre-ordered these piercing dies so please DO Not Include My Name For The Drawing Of These 2 Sets, if I was lucky enough to have my name chosen then I would have to ask you to go through the whole ‘RIGMAROLE’ (I won’t tease you Rebecca; Lol; it means ‘going through a lengthy & complicated procedure’) of putting the set back in to be redrawn. ReplyDeleteLORRAINE; hope you are well my friend, I’m okay thank you for asking, the garden implements are safely locked away from me; Lol; I’m just rather drained going back to work. My doc says it would be better for me to give up work but until he says ‘I’VE GOT TO’ then I shall keep going for as long as I can, after all no wages, no CE SW goodies. Mr B helps me out when I need a new machine etc but he says buying the dies is down to me which is fair enough. Lauren & Hannah are well thank you, H will be 3 on April 1st; no joke & what was I thinking of; Lol; & Lauren will be 13 next Thursday. I have decided that pouncing, with excited anticipation, on the postie delivering your SW goodies is solely your privilege in fact I would go as far to say that it is your PATENT & your exclusive right; Lol; We had to have a post-box fitted outside on the wall when Lauren suddenly out of the blue decided, if we were out, she was going to chomp on anything that came through the letterbox in a brown-ish envelope/package; so needless to say the only way I could pounce on the poor unsuspecting postie was if I was to park my carcass in a chair out the front between 11am – 3pm, (but not in a bikini, one look at my also anaemic torso would have him take flight & he’ll never deliver here again; Lol). Not feasible so I totally must resign the Lorraine/ Rebecca club EPOP (Excitedly Pouncing On Postie), sorry girls perhaps others can join so you can all grace us with hilarious comments I so love to read x x x

ReplyDeleteWonderful card, I suspect the background is another one of your brilliant techniques, but can't make out how you've done it.
Those dies are very useful, doing away with the manual piercing to a large extent. I wonder how many crafters are as nifty as you with this technique - I know I'm not.

ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise this morning to find the beginning of the new die launch- I was expecting our usual Wednesday card giveaway and was temporarily taken aback and rendered speechless, something that happens all too infrequently!
Firstly, what a lovely card, adore the new happy birthday die, but the star of the show just has to be the pierced rectangles. I know that I am not alone in having dreamed of such a die as I battled to get a perfect result with my piercing ruler- using your technique has made my attempts more consistent and I do enjoy the process of piercing, however, to have the opportunity to get perfect results every time is an utter godsend. I have admittedly over stretched my finances this past week, my bank account always haemorrhages on payday, but I couldn't resist pre ordering the rectangles and I cannot wait to receive them. You are a legend, who never fails to cater for our every crafting need, Thankyou xxx
Feeling a little rough today, I've had a throat and ear infection for five days now and it shows no sign of abating so my sympathies go out to fluffycat. In saying that, today's surprise has rejuvenated me no end.
Beth, glad to hear that you haven't came a cropper with a gardening based implement, I would seriously miss your witty anecdotes and what would all of those little cherubs do without your loving guidance. Being around the young keeps us sprightly and young at heart so the longer that you can do the better for your mental well being. The same can be said for animals, I don't think Gizmo would have lived to the age of 17 if we hadn't have had a succession of younger playmates for him- so Hannah being that much younger than Lauren must have a positive effect on her. You have a real incentive to keep working though if Mr B refuses to fund your SW addiction, fair enough, at least he can't pass comment on whether you actually need another die , card pack or embellishment:-)xxxx
Yvonne, my dear friend, it is with great regret that I cannot meet up with you at Ally Pally, you are so intuitive with your assessment of my uncontrollable propensity for debauchery- I could do with a firm hand at times and a strong moral compass and it appears that you could provide me with all of the above. You may be right though, unleashing me on an unsuspecting public may not be a good idea at this juncture, maybe with your careful guidance I could be trained before next years event and I could be trusted with the general public and our fellow Wilsonettes...are you up for the challenge?
Diane, I forgot to wish you luck with your daughters move to bonny Aberdeen, it's a beautiful city and I'm sure she will love it there- it's meant to be one of the sunniest parts of Scotland, then again, it doesn't have much competition now, does it? I hope that you are managing to busy yourself in her absence, it won't be long before mid term, be forewarned about the mountain of washing and ironing that will inevitably arrive with her though:-)

With a set of these dies I would at least know that all my holes would line up and look just wonderful. The card is beautiful...especially the little butterflies and pale blue flowers :).
