Absolutely stunning and creative card! The video explains all the details so well , lots of interest in the making of this one. Sorry I have not been able to comment this past week, my iPad just went dead a week ago? so I have to see if Apple will replace it or have to buy a new one , it was only 2 1/2 yrs old, so I have borrowed my sons phone to be able to comment. Sandra I hope you have a wonderful holiday! Myra , thanks for noticing I was missing! I have missed the cafe but will try to comment using this phone, love and hugs to all xo

Morning Sue, What a truly inspirational card and video today. The custard card is such a pretty colour and makes a lovely addition to showcase the Gemini die. Just love it. Hugs xx Pauline A
I can't think why I'm still surprised at how well all your dies work so well together, it almost doesn't matter which ones you buy they will work with the ones you bought previously and that's a huge bonus as we all have to count the pennies...
Love the floating effect here, makes the most of that sentiment - now all we need is for someone to invent a non-shiny acetate as that would look even better!...
What a brilliant idea, and thank you for showing that the edges of the Gemini dies have to be nipped with scissors. I thought I was doing something wrong. Lol.
Good morning Sue, fabulous card I just love it!!! I've used this technique before and it looks fab especially on Christmas cards : ) Thanks for the video!!! Have a good one!!! Loopy Lynda xxx
Some really interesting techniques here. Now I know what to do with the piles of gloss paper I have acquired over the years!!!! I particular like the use of acetate to float the sentiment and the use of the Canadian background as you have done here. I may not have all the dies but there are some great ideas here to play around with. Thank you.
Stunning card again. Love the colours, texture and the floating sentiment. I am looking forward to watching the video later to learn yet another technique. Thanks for all your inspiration, I certainly need it at the moment! Lol
Hi Sue, Just love everything about this card it's gorgeous! The floating sentiment makes a lovely statement. Great video as always. Love Janet x from Wakefield
Hi Sue, a stunning card. I love the big dimensional look and the floating sentiment. Thanks for the video, another one to watch when we are home next week.
Morning Sue What a glorious way to be back after five days absence due to family visitors. A video and a wonderful gift from yourself. Just what I needed to start me off back into 'normal' just the two of us and peace and quiet.
I have a couple of your new 8x8 Efolders and they are just wonderful to use. I love your colour palette for today and the piece of acetate is just genius to create the floating sentiment. This has definitely gone into my 'must do' file and as I have a few bdays coming up in August I'm sure that one of them will have today's style.
So off now to sort out all the bedrooms etc and return Marigny to her usual self.
To all in pain and suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow. Janet x
I love this card Sue, and I can't wait to find out how it's made. No doubt once I've finished watching the video I will be wanting a bowl of custard again!! :) Paula x (WelshPaula)
Hi Sue, stunner of a card, I love that floating sentiment. And the custard with white combo is gorgeous. Such an innovative use if the Canadian background. Have a great day. Hugs, Rose
HI SUE FAB CARD AND VIDEO. COULD PLAY TRICKS ON SOME PEOPLE WITH THIS CARD (THE DRINKERS IN THE FAMILY) LOL, WOULD MAKE THEM LOOK TWICE. LOVE THE EMBOSSING FOLDER. YOU HAVE MY MIND RUNNING RIOT AT THE MOMENT THINKING OF ACETATE LAYERS WITH DIFFERENT XMAS DIES ON THEM. YEP REINDEER ON ONE CHRISTMAS TREE ON ANOTHER. HAVE TO GO HAVE A PLAY. REALLY ENJOY YOUR VIDEOS. BORN AGAIN SPELLBINDER NADINE HUG XXX
Hello Sue and all clever card, love the floating sentiment, colours and favourite Canadian background die great video, must try something like this Muriel x
Hi Sue Great video today and a beautiful card too, love the floating effect you have achieved. It's interesting you are starting to use spray glue, so much easier than having blobs of glue squelching out - must look at JS to see if she has it on your list. Have a lovely day with your mum. Love Diane G xxx Izzy I know you can get matt laminating sheets so I wonder if they would produce the effect you are looking for? Xxx Good luck for any Scottish exam results today, we have another week of waiting down here xxx
I think this is a beautiful card. I really like the Embossing folder and all the dies you have used. The colour is lovely and the floating sentiment an inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Sue Really enjoyed watching the Video. The sentiment does look as though it's floating on air. Very clever technique which i will have to remember. Beautiful card as always Take care Hazel G XX
Hi Sue. What a brilliant idea using acetate to float the greeting on, certainly one to remember. Such a pretty card with a beautiful colour combo. The edging die is so pretty and enhanced by embossing, I love it. I too must look into spray adhesive, although I did think at some point in your video you mentioned spraying the back of you edging die with custard lol which made me smile (must watch again to see if I need a hearing check lol) Thank you for another gorgeous card and inspirational tutorial - one for Jennie to enjoy and make with Grandma : ) Enjoy your day Sue. I too look forward to the new release. Hugs. Lancashire Steph xxx
Hi Sue and everyone. wow,wow lovely card and the floating sentiment is great for something different. Thank you Sue for making the fabulous video tutorials, they are an amazing help for a lot of us x

Someone ran into my sons car last night or early this morning and left without leaving a note, I'm so cross! So now we will have to go and see how much that will cost us to have it fixed. Vermin's they are !
Have a nice afternoon. To all Wilsonette's and Friends, take care

Hi Sue, a really pretty card and I love all of the different textures. The floating sentiment is so unusual it will certainly grab the recipient's attention. Great video as usual.
Very nice card today, and the floating sentiment is just wonderful. The video is really good, and as you know I do prefer to see the video, as the information seems to stick in my head better.
Theresa says Hi sue and lovely wilsonettes x This is the first time I have ever seen a card like this before its absolutely brilliant !!! The floating sentiment is a fantastic idea x thankyou so much sue for sharing your wonderful ideas with us xhad a sneaky peek at your second release am I ever going to have any money ?!!!! A big hug to all feeling poorly including mollys gtandad x Take care everyone x Theresa w xxx
Hi Sue, What a super idea - another one! What will you think of next? I love the entire card and don't use the custard card enough as it's such a pretty shade. I love the floating sentiment and I will definitely be trying this one out! Great video as usual. Thank you! Anne - I'm so glad that the problem is with your iPad and not that you are unwell! Hope you get it sorted out very soon. x Jennie and Grandma - I'm sure you'll want to try today's card! Molly - Grandad is very well off having such a loving caring granddaughter. You are a real star. Lots of love, Myra xxx
Afternoon Sue, Im rather late today got held up had some urgent things to see to. Oh my what a stunning card today I love the suspended sentiment it looks gorgeous. Hope you have a nice day. hugs Shirleyxxxx
Hi Sue, another really great vidoe and such a gorgeous card, so soft with the white and custard. The floating sentiment is a really great idea, I am sure it will be well used! My new craft room is finished all but hanging the curtains, so I can FINALLY get to do some crafting - whoo hoo!!! Having everything packed away in boxes over the last few weeks has been an absolute nightmare - I have had severe withdrawal symptoms!! Now that there is a place for everything and everything in it's place - I just have to remember where it all is :o) Hugs, Karen x
Really pretty card Sue, and I love the hint of cream with the mostly white card. Will check out the Youtube later to see exactly how you did it!! Susan x
What an absolutely beautiful card for today's demo- I have said it before, but I really love video days since watching you create something step by step seems to compute in my crumbling brain far easier than the written word seems to. This particular masterpiece is my favourite example of your genius in a while-I adore the floating sentiment technique and the tip about sanding the embossed gloss card for added texture. You are using spray adhesive a lot lately so I have ordered some from ebay for the fiddlier die cuts.im also awaiting a delivery of some custard card and the lovely scarlet card for my Christmas cards...just need to start getting the dies now! Giving it another week or two so that my credit card has fully recovered from its malaise following your C&C shows. Had a senior moment earlier today when I got a taxi to Stirling only to discover I had left my card at home!!??!Red faces all round as I had to get another one back home to collect it, is the universe telling me to exercise caution?....well, it didn't work:-) Hope my good friends who are ill or struggling...yes, that means you Yvonne...are feeling a bit brighter today. We miss you all. I also hope that you are enjoying your break in Florida Sue, here's hoping that you may bring the sun back with you when you retun next month. Raining again in Stirling, ooh I wish that I could win the lottery and buy a home in sunnier climes...anywhere south of Carlisle would probably fit the bill nicely:-)
Love the card, but am disappointed I can't see the video! I guess somehow the link is broken. I tried to open it from the blog too and it didn't show up there either. Oh well. I will try again later. :(
Hi Sue Great idea with the floating sentiment, going to try this one. Also love the embossing folder, it would be great for so many things, sad I only have a Cuttlebug :( x
A real stunner, I think it's terrific. For non shiny acetate try using printable acetate. One side is matt with a paper like texture.
Didn't get a chance to say how much I liked the card made by little Jennie yesterday.
Also hope Molly and her granddad are doing well.
Maria, just the topstitching to go! My neck is causing me big problems, quick comment as it's making my eyes hurt when I'm not asleep. Hopefully this will be quickly back to 'normal' and I can be more sociable!
Wow this is a fab and very pretty card, lovevthe floating sentimentvin the middle. will watch the video later but sure it will be as brilliant as all of your otger demos.
Sue, Love the way the words sort of curl around themselves a bit. It is a lovely card with the solid behind the dies, it looks so eye catching again!!!
Fantastic card today with an amazing video, thank you. Molly - love to Grandad. Ladies, I hope you've all had a good day, and if I'm going to be as late again tomorrow, I now wish you all a good day tomorrow. Maureen xx
Hi Sue, thank you so much for sharing this wonderful technique with us. Love that custard colour card, and your super design. Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Good evening Sue and crafty companions What a stunner Sue, love the Canadian border, love the floating sentiment, love the swirly heart corner thingys, sorry can't remember their name. So clever and beautiful. Will watch demo later. Sue hope you're enjoying your time away with your mum x Sandra, hope your channel crossing is not too choppy and you have a lovely time wherever you're going (hols?) x Maria so sorry to hear about your son's car, I just can't understand some people, it happened to one of our neighbours so she typed up a note asking if anyone had seen anything and posted through all the doors nearby. Can you tell what colour the car was? Did it leave any paint on your son's car - might help. Hope you get things sorted x Karen K, I'm so envious, a brand new craft room that sounds wonderful. I'm afraid my craft space leaves a lot to be desired and I could really do with more...... space. Hubby and I agreed to share the room so he could have a little office - sounded like an OK idea at the time but sometimes I don't think our hubbys appreciate just how much space our stashes take up lol. Enjoy! x Lorraine, I'm glad it's not just me then, I swear I sometimes have so much stuff in my head that it leaks out, my memory is shocking so I'll keep taking the tablets, can you get tablets for your memory, must get some to help me sleep a bit better, now, what was I going to say? No, it's gone! See what I mean!! x So glad to hear you're still alive Yvonne, also glad to hear you're not kicking your friends! Sending healing prayers for a quick recovery & hugs x x Lynda B, sending hugs x love & blessings - Deb C xx
Hello Sue, Truly scrumptious, it's truly truly scrumptious! Like the idea of using spray adhesive, didn't know you could buy it in custard flavour though LOL. I have the linen embossing folder and it is fabulous, must give it a go on glossy card as the tone on tone effect you achieved was lovely.
Wheely Bad, sending you gentle hugs to ease your poorly neck.

To all in pain and suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Hi Sue Great video today and a beautiful card too, love the floating effect you have achieved. It's interesting you are starting to use spray glue, so much easier than having blobs of glue squelching out - must look at JS to see if she has it on your list. Have a lovely day with your mum.
ReplyDeleteLove Diane G xxx
Izzy I know you can get matt laminating sheets so I wonder if they would produce the effect you are looking for? Xxx
Good luck for any Scottish exam results today, we have another week of waiting down here xxx

Hi Sue. What a brilliant idea using acetate to float the greeting on, certainly one to remember. Such a pretty card with a beautiful colour combo. The edging die is so pretty and enhanced by embossing, I love it.
ReplyDeleteI too must look into spray adhesive, although I did think at some point in your video you mentioned spraying the back of you edging die with custard lol which made me smile (must watch again to see if I need a hearing check lol)
Thank you for another gorgeous card and inspirational tutorial - one for Jennie to enjoy and make with Grandma : )
Enjoy your day Sue. I too look forward to the new release.

ReplyDeleteHaving everything packed away in boxes over the last few weeks has been an absolute nightmare - I have had severe withdrawal symptoms!! Now that there is a place for everything and everything in it's place - I just have to remember where it all is :o)
Hugs, Karen x
This card is adorable, love the colour combo and a great idea for the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteHugs Theresa xx
Such a beautiful card Sue going to try it myself xx
ReplyDeleteJust amazing! What a lovely card!
ReplyDeleteReally pretty card Sue, and I love the hint of cream with the mostly white card. Will check out the Youtube later to see exactly how you did it!! Susan x
ReplyDeleteAwesome card using the "floating" technique. I need to try this soon.
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon Sue and the lovely Wilsonettes,
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely beautiful card for today's demo- I have said it before, but I really love video days since watching you create something step by step seems to compute in my crumbling brain far easier than the written word seems to.
Had a senior moment earlier today when I got a taxi to Stirling only to discover I had left my card at home!!??!Red faces all round as I had to get another one back home to collect it, is the universe telling me to exercise caution?....well, it didn't work:-)
Hope my good friends who are ill or struggling...yes, that means you Yvonne...are feeling a bit brighter today.
Loads of love and crafty hugs,
Laine1972xxxxxxx
After watching the video on this card, I was not able to "like it". Symbols have changed? How do I "like it" now?
ReplyDeleteLove the card, but am disappointed I can't see the video! I guess somehow the link is broken. I tried to open it from the blog too and it didn't show up there either. Oh well. I will try again later. :(
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card. Love the floating sentiment and technique used. I will definitely try it out. Hugs, Ivy xx

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the floating sentiment, going to try this one.
Also love the embossing folder, it would be great for so
many things, sad I only have a Cuttlebug :(

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteA real stunner, I think it's terrific.
Hugs to all of you. Happy crafting,
T x
This is a very stunning card! I just love the Gemini dies they are so versatile and easy to use and give you the best bang for your buck!

Good evening Sue and crafty companions
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunner Sue, love the Canadian border, love the floating sentiment, love the swirly heart corner thingys, sorry can't remember their name. So clever and beautiful. Will watch demo later. Sue hope you're enjoying your time away with your mum x
Sandra, hope your channel crossing is not too choppy and you have a lovely time wherever you're going (hols?) x
Maria so sorry to hear about your son's car, I just can't understand some people, it happened to one of our neighbours so she typed up a note asking if anyone had seen anything and posted through all the doors nearby. Can you tell what colour the car was? Did it leave any paint on your son's car - might help. Hope you get things sorted x
Karen K, I'm so envious, a brand new craft room that sounds wonderful. I'm afraid my craft space leaves a lot to be desired and I could really do with more...... space. Hubby and I agreed to share the room so he could have a little office - sounded like an OK idea at the time but sometimes I don't think our hubbys appreciate just how much space our stashes take up lol. Enjoy! x
Lorraine, I'm glad it's not just me then, I swear I sometimes have so much stuff in my head that it leaks out, my memory is shocking so I'll keep taking the tablets, can you get tablets for your memory, must get some to help me sleep a bit better, now, what was I going to say? No, it's gone! See what I mean!! x
So glad to hear you're still alive Yvonne, also glad to hear you're not kicking your friends! Sending healing prayers for a quick recovery & hugs x x
Lynda B, sending hugs x
