  17. Hi Sue.
What a special card to give to a special friend. Im still learning and playing with two of the configuration dies I have, the little illustrations you now have on the packaging help kick start the grey matter but as you show there are a million and one ways to use them, I just have to keep playing.
Why dont my peoney flower's ever look like your's ?!
It was either last week or the week before that you wowed us with your 'ffloating sentiment' and so many of us tried it out. I made quite a nice wedding card to add to my market basket using the floating sentiment, I added it with the rest of the wedding card's and I always have a wedding card on display using something similar to what you use, I try to use the 'blingiest' with iced snow to catch the light, the market had been open 10 minutes and it was the very first card to go with 2 order's for something similar, so THANK YOU for your wonderful inspiration , Id share the proceeds of the card with you Sue as after all it was your idea I used, but as I sell my cards for under 5.00 there wouldn't be much you could do with 1.50 lol
So it seems that non crafter's also love the look of floating sentiments too and Im quite pleased they do as it now gives me the excuse to make more of those cards : )
I hope whatever your plan's are for the day you have a good one.
Sky box all set up ready to record Thursday and Friday will be catch up day, you must be getting really excited to see how it will all pan out, we are : )
Sending friendly hugs to you Sue and my special friends that will follow later.

  62. Hi Sue & Wilsonettes You inspire me once again Sue with this exquisite beauty, the dies have come together so magnificently & those configuration lacy edges, stick pins & flower, simply eloquent. Thanku my friend for sharing x x x

Apologies for being AWOL my friends,Lauren had us up being poorly most of Sun night/Mon morning, a small relapse with her liver, she wouldn’t leave my side bless her, don’t think I wanted to leave hers either. She had her Denamarin increased & by 11am she seemed to perk up.

I put her breakfast out as usual but she was only taking the odd nibble, well as I picked up Hannah’s dish & before you could say “Jumping Jack Flash” Hannah had dived into Laurens bowl & gulped the biggest mouthful you’d ever seen (she never does this so perhaps this could be last time I sing her praises, lol) only problem is Lauren also has some natural healthy fish food to help with her arthritic joints but not Hannah as it turns her into a lunatic, her version of canine Jekyll & Hyde but without the blood & gore I’m pleased to say. Anyways Mr B’s nephew had recently had a lovely new addition to his family, baby boy called Travis & as a gift they had asked for a play mat, so me being a sucker for cute babies I ordered the best & one that would grow with him to last longer.

Anyways with Hannah being in this harebrained frame of mind the guy knocked with the parcel & H lunged at the window barking, using the radiator as a foothold; (she often puts her paws on the rad’ gently to watch the world go by)I walked back in with a very stern Hyde look on my face (didn’t know I could do one of those until then) & shock horror there was blood all over her legs, the rad’ walls & carpet (did I say without the blood & gore, then I stand corrected) She had leapt at the rad’ so hard that she snapped back 2 claws on 1 paw, one on the other & bit her tongue in the process; Took a while to stop the bleeding, clean her with warm salt water & scrub the carpet with vanish before using small steamer.

I gave her a few drops of Bach’s Rescue Remedy to calm the hyper down & to ensure she would rest , thankfully she is okay but I shall bathe her paws in salt water 4 times a day until the wounds heal, vet says to carry on unless there are any problems. Thankfully she is much calmer this morning & probably a little sorry for herself & Lauren is her usual perky self.

After that palaver I then got a phone call from a dear friend who had given Lauren’s mum Chanel a loving home to tell me that they had had to make the most painful decision to have her put to sleep, this would be done at the vets at 5pm...well we were sobbing together both feeling absolutely heartbroken...I had held darling Chanel when she brought into this world & Carolyn had held her last night when she took her last breath & the angels took her to the meadows & sunshine of Rainbow Bridge...oh gosh I shall miss her so much x

I shall try to make a card today for my friend & her family but it has to be the best I’ve ever have or will ever make & that will definitely be with SW products...just waiting for my mojo to wake up & inspire me.

Molly sweetie you truly are an inspiration to the entire world for showing such love, caring & courage for your family & for showing such care towards your fellow human beings, I sincerely appreciate your words of kindness in your comment on Sun? & I pray for you that the world & its oyster will return this kindness to you tenfold throughout your life & if anyone sees fit not to then you hold your head up strong, high & proud for you will always be worth a 100 of them. (((HUGS))) to you, your granddad & family hope he gets to move on from toast one day soon x x x

    Well my dear friends Sue & lovely Wilsonettes (including Yvonne...hope your better x x x) Love ‘n’ (((HUGS))) sent your way & extra if you need them..Beth B x x x x x

  118. Good afternoon Sue and the lovely Wilsonettes!

What a splendid Sue Wilson classic, everything from the sugared flower, to the stick pins, to the ornate framing of the sentiment screams elegance and sophistication. I would use this design for Christmas by substituting the sentiment and background and card colour with the happy Christmas die, red or blue card and a wintery EF, it is so versatile.
I love the purple tone, it really emphasises the design of the EF beautifully. The noble dies are my absolute go to die of the moment because they frame a card in such a unique way-it would be great if you could develop a different shape like a round or oval one in the future too.
It's a housework day today with a massive pile of bedding to iron:-( All that wasted crafting time! Brodie has been crying all morning for a walk in the sunshine but I am a little resistant after yesterday when we were out for over an hour! He spent most of that time sniffing around peoples parked cars....he's a bit of a petrol head it seems....but I worry that people will think I am loitering with intent to carjack because a cat on a lead isn't the first thing people expect to see is it? Never mind, I will give in eventually but he is soooo stubborn and has to dictate where we all go, a dog would be so much easier!
Having trouble blow drying my new cropped hairdo-I can't decide whether I look like I've put my finger in a live socket or I'm permanently stuck in a wind tunnel.....over 20 yrs of blow drying bobs means that I am so out of practice with other styles. I wish I was Cheryl Cole and had make up artists and hair stylists at my beck and call!
Beth, it broke my heart to read your post today, you don't do things by halves dear. Poor Lauren, my childhood cat Tiger had liver failure, it can be so distressing to watch our babies suffer. Maybe that's why Hannah has been misbehaving, she must sense that Lauren is unwell-I cringed when I read about her poor paws and tongue, the little soul, i hope that the salt water keeps the wounds clean.
Losing Chanel must be traumatic for you- you mention Rainbow Bridge, is that the pet undertaker you will be using? I had my Byron cremated with them, they are lovely and treat your baby with all the respect they deserve. I am sure their place of rest is called Rainbow Bridge if my old memory serves me correctly. Anyway, I'm thinking of you at this difficult time honeyxxxxx
To anyone in pain or suffering gentle hugs, I hope life improves soonxxxxx

    Love and crafty hugs,

I am still struggling with the concept in my planning stage of making a card. Your cards always have the dimension I strive to do on my cards. You are such a wonderful inspiration to me.

  146. Indeed what a lovely card offering today! I so enjoy the videos. I'm sure I haven't seen all of them yet since I'm only a few months in to the Sue Wilson bandwagon (would have been in from the beginning if only I'd known!). Anyway, I've stayed up way too late many a night watching them, so clearly I have no discipline. I guess I'd rather be blurry eyed with sleepiness at work-but well versed in the wonderful things you share lol! I learn something new every time and I appreciate the little reminders of things you've already taught (in case not everything sticks during those late night viewing sessions).
Beth B - so sorry to hear of your struggles with your furry family's health. I've had some wonderful companions over the years and when their health declines for one reason or another, it's heartbreaking. I've got a 16 year old Siamese right now - and he's doing pretty well, but it's getting harder to keep any weight on him. I just try to enjoy the time I have as much as possible. After one crosses the rainbow bridge, I sometimes wonder if the pain of losing them is worth having them. The answer is always yes because they bring so much joy. I guess that is the way of life. Oh my I didn't mean to get so philosophical!
GailGale - I'm in the U.S. too and it's so frustrating not being able to get all the SW dies...I'm not giving up trying tho! I'm on a quest for the Noble Dies-if I find a source,I'll let u know.

Gailgale and Rebecca in Colarado. Not US but www.joannasheen.com to ship to the 'States. Very reasonable prices and postage- there's a link at the top of Sues blog pages xxx

Beth, know about hyperactive hounds as Billy is protein sensitive, too much and he goes nuts, know about hounds that cut themselves a lot too... guess who again! Stories for another day! Sorry Lauren was poorly again but glad the meds helped xxx

Steph, delighted your cards were such a hit, I can guess how hard you work on them from your posts xxx

Pat L, glad Sarah is looking forward to school and has an op date xxx

Molly, hope you're finding time to have fun and hope Grandad stops feeling poorly, hugs to you, Grandad, Nanny Melody and family. Totally agree with everything Beth said about you too.

I'm so sorry it's short or I missed something. I've had a hell of a day dealing with the new (to me) people that do the adaptations for the council. The phrase that springs to mind is the one about drinking sessions in breweries... I'm a patient person, I am grateful for the help I get but what I've gone through in the last 10 months is a joke. A not funny joke. Round 2 tomorrow!

Have a lovely evening and wishing you each a wonderful Wednesday. Hugs to everyone,

    T x

At the moment I have one of your new Noble Dies but the other two die sets in this collection are top of my wish list for Alley Palley !! 165. Hello again. I just had the chance to review the cards & comments from the weekend (I know it's late but still has to comment on those individually). I'm checking back in because I wanted to say thank you for being welcomed as a Wilsonette! It makes me smile :) I really enjoy the blog, there are so many kind people, and some with great senses of humor too. A good laugh is always a welcome thing!. Thanks for the info on the Joanna Sheen site. I'll have to check it out. I think I did early on and was confused about how to handle the exchange rate etc- but I'm more determined now :)
I'm an animal lover too and enjoy hearing about your furry friend's antics (especially once I caught on they were animals -did I mention I'm usually reading these in the wee hours of the morning?!). I have a 16 yr old Siamese named Mo- when he gets to snuggle in bed with me, he likes to be under the covers for a while and when I get done rubbing his belly and stretch out my arm, he stretches out his arms and puts his paws in my hand :). Then I have an 8 yr old fluffy cat named Bluesy. He chooses to lay at my feet and when Mo is done snuggling with me, he joins Bluesy at the foot of the bed. Our daughter has moved back home and so I also have my 2 "grandoggers" living with us. They are both Pugs. One is named Zooey, she's a rescue, the other is named Kitty Lou (yes she's a dog named Kitty). They are 9 & 8 respectively. The hard part is the 2 dogs don't get along with each other (that's another long story). So they have to b kept separate. Anyway, all that is to say when I sleep with Kitty Lou, she'll sometimes stick her nose (what there is of it, she is a pug after all) under my pillow and root around a bit & then roll upside down and kick the pillow. So essentially, I guess she's fluffing my pillow too. They r so very dear & silly!
Thanks again for welcoming me and happy crafting to all! Rebecca in Colorado.
