Good morning all! The new Three Wise Men Mini Striplet is the perfect way to not only start the day off right, but to introduce you to the new slightly smaller sized striplets. These are just a hair over 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" in size. The original striplet size was 2" x 6" in size. I had requests for smaller sized dies from many of you so I have included several on this latest die release. This is the first scene that I have attempted in a striplet but I am so happy with the results. The detailing is stunning with both embossed and debossed areas within. I only wish you could see this one in person! Leave me a comment to be included in the drawing and don't forget to check back. The next blog post is scheduled to arrive at 10am. ReplyDeleteThis striplet completely blew me away when I first saw it Sue. It has everything which reminds us of the Season - everything that the season should be and not commercial tills ringing.
I am pleased to say that I shall see this in 'real life' as I pre-ordered it I just could not resist and it will be used on my gifts this year.
It was quite odd yesterday looking at all your Seasonal dies and sitting in temps of 34plus whilst doing it and it looks as though today is going to be the same.

So good to see a nativity design - there are so few of them compared to other Christmassy designs. Although no longer a practising Christian, I never send Christmas cards that are not nativity related as I still believe in keeping the Christ in Christmas.

The thing I love most about this beautiful Striplet die Sue is that it is so different and very versatile, I can at this moment picture it being cut out in black on one side, or blue or silver or gold etc and different colour background with opposite background to first side(well I think you know what I mean...lol)...ooooooooooooooh the inspiration and vision that you grace us with Sue is beyond all words.

I have ordered this striplet as it has many possibilites. I never thought of using the colours Sue has used, but it looks really elegant.

Love this die as it is something different and it was one of the dies that I had to pre-order. Though some have asked for some smaller ones I would have liked to see it slightly bigger but love it just the same. This card is stunning.

Hi Sue, this die went straight to the top of my list when I had my sneaky preview. So much detail in such a small area and I think you have done a wonderful job creating it. A lovely card showing the die off really well. I agree with so many other Wilsonettes that it is lovely to have a die showing part of the Christmas story and although I make many and varied cards for Christmas I do try to keep the Christ in Christmas where possible.

ReplyDeleteWell I have not been disappointed, the first card of the day has my favourite die. I've been looking for so long for the 3 Wise Men. Thank you Sue for designing this die and bringing it to us. I love love love this die and the others that are on my list will be move down a notch as this one is now in the number 1 spot, roll on payday.

ReplyDeleteAren't we being treated to a cornucopia(thank goodness for predictive text!) of fabulous designs with our Sues new die range. I am not alone in adoring the strip let collection and this little gem will be a welcome addition. You have really catered to everyone's tastes Sue, the traditionalist will love this design, what an achievement to get such intricacy into a smaller frame. I had to have a second look at the background though, at first I thought it was die cut then my early morning brain realised that it was a mask and texture paste- I really need to try this technique soon.
I am not surprised that it has taken you so long to read through everyone comments Beth, it took me a couple of hours last night, to read and comment on the posts I missed earlier, but hey, it's fun reading about the antics of Sues faithful followers. I am so glad you managed to salvage some of Lauren's sample and a little self respect to boot. Do nt worry , even the most experienced pet owners struggle with this laborious task. I dread to think how I will get Darcey to use her litter tray if I am required to collect one in the future!
Looking forward to the rest of today's posts Sue, hopefully I can keep up with them today in between housework.

Now this is definitely one I like it is so difficult to obtain dies to convey the real meaning of Christmas. Thank you I especially like a christian message at Christmas time.

ReplyDeleteCan I just say Sue without you fainting on us that this card is stunning in the black as it just sets it off to a tee. The image of the the three kings I think you have captur just perfectly in this striplet mini and it makes up a beautiful clean and simple card that is so stunning but carries so much meaning that sometimes words can't say. I must say that I love your normal sized striplets Sue but I do like this miniature selection that you have made for us as we can now make some smaller cards, saving card but still turning out a work or art to hand over at that special time of the year when we have so many people to make for. Thank you Sue and can we have some more this size for doing dainty cards during the year please.
