Good morning Sue I adore this mornings' card, I remember being blown away when you first made a rose out of your bargain dictionary. I went straight to a charity shop to buy one and it's still going. One of my favourite things to make are flowers and your cornflower dies have quickly become one of my favourites. I love the Karft card with the red another 'must try', I tend to only use Kraft card for male cards but you've shown us that you can make really nice girlie cards by just adding colour. I enjoyed the video thanks for sharing your ideas. Hugs x Heather T

Hello Sue, and all the ladies. What a stunning card, it certainly makes a statement, I love it. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Norah, from Yorkielass and me, she has been on the phone this morning and asked that I would mention your birthday, because she remembered from last year that yours is the same date as hers!!! I told her about Harry, and she sends her warmest congratulations to you. Love to all Maureen xx

That's a lovely card Sue, and the flowers are brilliant, I didn't for a moment think they were made from pages from a dictionary! :) Off to get my standard cuppa so I can relax and watch the video. Paula x (WelshPaula)
Hi Sue, I got such a surprise when I saw this card this morning as it is so different . However it is really growing on me, a bit like your lovely cornflowers! I love the cornflower die and use it often. The red really makes a statement with the Kraft card! I need to use it more Norah - Happy Birthday ! Hope you have a lovely day and that Kirsten and baby Harry are both doing well. Yorkielass - Happy Birthday to you too! We were all new Wilsonettes once! We are all one happy bunch of crafters. Thank you Sue, Lots of love, Myra xxx
Good morning Sue,another fab card!!! It's nice that you mix it up. We all have different tastes that's what makes it so exciting everyday you get a different gem!!! Just watched the video thanks for the tips you are a gem!!! Thankyou Sue for my gift. Have a good one!!! Loopy Lynda xxx
Another damp and cloudy day in Stirling(global warming hasn't reached bonny Scotland thus far!), which gives me plenty of opportunity to catch up on some of your fabulous demos. They are just so useful when you suffer from brain freeze with the written word. I have never used Kraft card, it reminds me of cardboard, however mixing it up with red and cream really adds a feminine touch so I may be a convert now. I really like the effect of the newsprint and cornflower dies, I quite like a bit of shabby chic now and again too, it is a refreshing change and is about as close to distressing that I am comfortable with- paper tearing is so out of my comfort zone but it can be quite liberating if done in small doses.
To My Very Dear Friend Sue, What A Truly Tremendous Video And A Truly Stunning Beautiful Card, The Videos Are So Informative And You Take Us Through Each Step At A Time. I Love The Fabulous Words You Used On Your Kraft Card, The Stunning Colours Of White, Red, Black, And Also Your Kraft Card. I Just Love How You Produced Those Amazing Cornflowers And The Amazing Dazzlers For The Centres, Also Using Your Old Dictionary, Which Looks So Terrfic. I Love The Austrian Die I've been Using This Die Recently Take Great Care My Special Friend Warmest Wishes To Your Mom, And Colin Love And Hugs From Sam xxx Hugs To All Wilsonettes xxx
Hi there Sue. Must say, that at first sight I wasn't too sure, think it maybe the kraftcard, never a favourite of mine, but its grown on me, your card that is. I think its the pop of red and those adorable little cornflower dies you have used. So another winner for me, and as always, really enjoyed the video. Not yet used any of my new anniversary dies as yet as still 'recovering' from our day out ! I got as far as putting them on magnetic sheets and introduced them to their sibblings, thought id give them time to get to know each other in their storage box before dragging them away, in other words, I've felt too lazy to do anything ! Hoping to change that later if body and mind are willing later ! Oh must say... Sparkle texture paste and mask = sucess : ) wonders never cease lol. Sending hugs to you Sue. Lancashire Steph xxx
Hi Sue. A very interesting card which I like. I have craft card but have never used it but I will certainly give it a go with this card. Regards, Evis M.
Hi Sue and all love the dictionary cornflower, the video is so helpful as usual. I would love to try this card but sorry, in different colours Muriel x
Personally I'm not a huge fan of craft card but this is lovely with the other colours you have used, you have changed my opinion. The flowers are so pretty, what a great idea. Thank you for sharing.
I love, love, love it when we get a card complete with bows and stick pins, and they look equally classy on kraft card too. Your videos are so easy to follow and I am going to attempt this one today as I have to make a 'thank you' card. I have the sentiment die too and have used it several times. It cuts beautifully on all types of card. Whilst I haven't got an old dictionary, I might just give the telephone directory a go. Hugs xx Pauline A
Hi Sue fabulous card as always. I have the oval die and use it often and always looks great on cards. Thanks for the fabulous creations you share with us. crafty hugs Helen Terry xxx
I love the way the flowers have turned out, what a good idea using an old dictionary, it certainly makes the flowers stand out. I must get the cornflower dies. The card is lovely. Ill watch the video later, as I'm off out.
Hi Sue, Sorry I am late today, the card is ingenious with the dictionary lovely!! and I particularly like the cornflowers very pretty. have a great afternoon.
Fabulous card today, really love the colours and those cornflowers are gorgeous. I will be in trouble for saying this but with a little tweek it would make a fab christmas card too. Lol you have now got my brain thinking and will be having a play with my craft stash tomorrow.
Hi Sue and lovely crafty ladies, not watched the video yet, saving for later when I have time to sit down with a brew and relax. I've just made a card with the cornflowers and my son was very impressed because he thought I'd cut each petal out by hand lol, then when I showed him the dies he said I'd cheated ha ha. I love these cut out of books, they're so pretty. They's look good out of sheet music too! Thank you Sue for the inspiration and all the new ideas to try. I just want to say a special thank you to Frances, P in Wales, Lynda, Saba, Tres, Melody and Yvonne for your very kind words, you have bucked me up no end. Tres, I know exactly where your coming from, my brain is addled and I sometimes find the volume of what's going on a bit overwhelming that I just can't keep up. I think you and all the Wilsonettes are very special and there is a great deal of love between everyone on the blog which I have truly felt personally in the last day, so thank you. Love & blessings to all - Deb C xx

Hi Sue, Love this card especially the cornflowers - they are one of my favourite flowers. Great video too. Yorkielass and Norah, Happy Birthday to you both. Well bathroom stuff was all delivered safe and sound and fortunately all three deliveries came at different times so Maureen, didn't need the cones out!!! Just got to wait now for next Thursday when the work starts and hopefully by the end of next weekend it should all be sorted. Fortunately my sister is on holiday so at least I can go up to her house and have a shower there - it's only 1 mile way. Love and hugs to all, Alison xxx

Sue, sorry - so late today. Been a dog day! First chance to look - fab card and love those flowers (will not try naming them today!!) Guess you have used your old dictionary? Haven't time to see video until tomorrow and will read comments then, so excuse ignorance meanwhile please.
Hi Sue, Late again today, been a busy day. Stunning card, I love the Kraft card with that pop of red. The cornflower die is one of my favourites and looks amazing made from an old dictionary, however, I just can't destroy a dictionary, but I do have some old books so I might steel my nerves and try to use one of them .lol
Deb C thank you for the idea to use sheet music instead of an old book, I might have less trauma if I use that instead!!! Norah and Yorkielass hope you have both had a lovely birthday. Alison, a mile is a long way to go for for a shower, make sure you keep your towel tightly wrapped around you for the journey back!

Helloooo Sue and the Wilsonettes! Sue, what an amazing video and card. Absolutely stunning! Sometimes you forget about certain colours that "pop" and "wow" together. Hi Sue. I am very late today !! I LOVE today's card and video !! As always your video is fab with lots of great tips and ideas !! Your card is fantastic Sue !! I love the rustic feel of it. I love all the dies you have used and I can't quite believe how well the Austrian Dies match together with the Caribbean Border die !! Their patterns look great together !! I love the rustic style cornflowers - just beautiful. I am not sure about using a dictionary or old book but I love the idea that someone mentioned about using coloured vellum. I think that would be a great variation. I am still unsure of Kraft card and I don't use ever use it. I do however have some different shades of brown card that I use quite a lot. (Especially for men's cards.) I love your bow and I am so pleased to see your beautiful stick pins are back !! Thanks for sharing another great video and beautiful card. Sending you and your family lots of love and special hugs today from Tres x x x

Hi Sue,
ReplyDeleteI got such a surprise when I saw this card this morning as it is so different . However it is really growing on me, a bit like your lovely cornflowers! I love the cornflower die and use it often. The red really makes a statement with the Kraft card! I need to use it more
Norah - Happy Birthday ! Hope you have a lovely day and that Kirsten and baby Harry are both doing well.
Yorkielass - Happy Birthday to you too!
We were all new Wilsonettes once! We are all one happy bunch of crafters.
Thank you Sue,
Lots of love, Myra xxx

This card is so lovely, love the flowers.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteAnother damp and cloudy day in Stirling(global warming hasn't reached bonny Scotland thus far!), which gives me plenty of opportunity to catch up on some of your fabulous demos.
Crafty hugs and kisses,
Laine1972xxxxxx

Hi there Sue.
ReplyDeleteMust say, that at first sight I wasn't too sure, think it maybe the kraftcard, never a favourite of mine, but its grown on me, your card that is.

I love the colors!!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love it when we get a card complete with bows and stick pins, and they look equally classy on kraft card too. Your videos are so easy to follow and I am going to attempt this one today as I have to make a 'thank you' card. I have the sentiment die too and have used it several times. It cuts beautifully on all types of card. Whilst I haven't got an old dictionary, I might just give the telephone directory a go. Hugs xx Pauline A
ReplyDeleteHi Sue fabulous card as always. I have the oval die and use it often and always looks great on cards.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fabulous creations you share with us.

Hi Sue and lovely crafty ladies,
ReplyDeletenot watched the video yet, saving for later when I have time to sit down with a brew and relax.

Well bathroom stuff was all delivered safe and sound and fortunately all three deliveries came at different times so Maureen, didn't need the cones out!!! Just got to wait now for next Thursday when the work starts and hopefully by the end of next weekend it should all be sorted. Fortunately my sister is on holiday so at least I can go up to her house and have a shower there - it's only 1 mile way.

ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteLate again today, been a busy day.
Love and hugs for all

Thank you for this gorgeous, gorgeous card. Sending love and hugs to you Sue, your family and to all our Wilsonettes who are n need xx Love Karen xx ps "Happy belated birthday wishes" to you Norah and Yorkielass! xx "Thank you Sue" for all the hard work that you do. ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteLovely card. Thank you.

great card, really love the colours, must give it a try.
ReplyDeleteHi Sue.
ReplyDeleteHi Deb C, Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I love getting to know new people and make new crafty friends. I only have one crafty friend where I live and that is my step daughter who does not live with us. She is now almost 19 and does not really craft much with me any more. I do not know any more crafty minded people so visiting Sue's blog every day really cheers me up and makes me feel like part of a big crafty family. Take care. Sending you lots of love and hugs from Tres x x x
