  9. To My Very Dear Friend Sue,
"Magnificent Card" And A Truly Tremendous Video With Great Tips And Techniques.
I Love Using Gilding Flakes, Fabulous Colours Also.
I Loved How You Placed A Sticky Sheet To Acetate Then Embossed It, It Looked Amazing I Was Thinking When Going Through The Folder So Not To Stick To The Folder, Instead Of Using Copy Paper Would It Be Better To Use The Silky Side Of Your Sticky Sheet So It Doesn't Stick Or Is This Something You Did.
Well My Wonderful Friend Only Three More Days Then I Fly On Holiday So After Sunday I Won't Be Able To Comment For Quite Some Time.
Take Great Care My Dear Friend And Thank You For Sharing The Fabulous Card And Video.

  16. Good Morning Sue & all Wilsonettes. Some of you may have noticed that I haven't left a comment over the last few days, I hope you didn't think that just because my name was drawn for a comment I had decided not to come back...that's not me folks, glad to say...Sue is very generous to us all in heart & soul so she deserves all the recognition & gratitude we can show her. I'm not in good health & I have suffered over the last few days...even had to drag myself to my part-time job working with children which absolutely knocked me for six, I had to go,firstly because they are one staff down & secondly how am I going to have the wages to collect Sues gorgeous dies... Anyways Sue if ever we are looking for something different in a card you are always certain to oblige although gilding is not really my thing (I'm sure it's very therapeutic)you make it look so easy on the video with stunning results...I'm sure many, many wilsonettes will be sure to enjoy making this card with your amazing idea of embossing & gilding technique & will achieve just as great a result...well off to do hubby's lunch for work...will comment on Sues previous creations a bit later. Take care to all...Love Beth B x x x PS if Inky Fingers do not have the dies you are looking for then please try CRAFT World in Glasgow (sorry don't know how to add a link for you)they have quite a lot of Sues cutting dies etc, they are lovely, helpful people with excellent service with very good delivery times...x x

  143. Hi Sue, gorgeous card and I loved it when you showed the embossed background to camera and it really flashed in the light which showed it off much better than the still photo's. I have gilded acetate before but have not embossed it afterwards, something that I must now try.

  149. Hi Sue,
Rather late commenting today. Had workmen in today and I've had quite a bit of sorting out to do.
Love gilding flakes use them quite a lot, but haven't used them on acetate. The effect looks opulent, lovely card!

  150. Hi Sue,
What a lovely card and an interesting video, as you said it would make a lovely wedding card or in this case a golden wedding card. I would never have thought to emboss acetate to give that added interest so thank you for yet another useful tip.
    Love and hugs

  155. The gilding flakes give this lovely card a really luxurious look. I haven't tried embossing gilded card yet but as I've just got another colour of gilding flakes you've given me the perfect excuse to try.
    Take care everyone.

  159. Hi Sue,

What a rich and opulent background - I have tried this myself and it works beautifully, no cracking or flaking and the embossing shows up really well no matter which colour of gilding flakes you use.
