Good Sunday morning all! A sweet card featuring the New York Collection and one of the matching stamps for today. I embossed the background using the Tartan Trellis embossing folder on a piece of blush card for texture. Next I stamped the Floral Doodle stamp on to a piece of coconut white card using a clear Perfect Medium pad. I heat embossed it with white detail powder. I cut it out with the Herald Square die and inked it while still in the die with Tattered Rose distress ink. I removed it from the die and coloured the flowers with an assortment of Distress markers. I added some mounting foam to the back of it to raise it for dimension. In the centre of the frame, I cut the smaller square from the same set out of a piece of coconut white card with a sticky adhesive sheet over the top of it. I peeled the paper back once cut and coated it with Diamond Sprinkles and glued it down in the centre of the square. I cut the inside decorative piece from the Times Square die set out of white and glued it in place on top of it in the centre. I stamped a piece of blush card with my sentiment using a clear Perfect Medium pad and heat embossed it in white as well. I cut it into a strip and lightly inked it with Tattered Rose to bring out the sentiment. I matted it in white and attached it across the square frame. I made a white rose from the Classic Rose die which I "sugared" with Iced Snow and attached it at the end of the strip with some white tulle and Mosaic Leaves as accents. I completed the card with a pierced white mat, a thin blush mat and another white mat. I added four flat back white pearls to the corners as accents. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x7 1/4" in size.

ReplyDeletePoochies being their normal selves!!!. Hubby indoors yesterday as he has a heavy cold. My two destructive divas first headed for my craftroom where Tilly got hold of some paper roses I had set aside to put on a project and had a good munch on them before deciding they didn't taste that good so promptly spat them out. The little b's then ran off into the garden as they could tell little steam puffs were coming out of my ears. Noticing it was too quiet never a good sign with my two I ran into the garden to find flower bulbs on the path and little dug holes in the wall. Whilst swearing profusely under my breath I quickly replanted the bulbs hoping all the time they were in the right place and how they should be planted. Came into the lounge to find the little b's led next to hubby with butter wouldn't melt in their mouths looks on both their faces. Hubby commented that they were little angels looking after him. I left the room muttering that they had to be careful their halos didn't slip and choke them. This year is going to be such a long long long garden patrol I can tell.

Everything about today's gift is so gentle and calming. I can just imagine one of my crafting sisters having a really bad day where nothing goes right and then just sees today's gift and everything is OK. Morning Sue. WOW thing is a stunning card. All the pastel colours work so well togetherand i am loving all of the new e/b folders, always something else to go on my shopping list lol. As you know the New York collection is my all time favourite set of dies's so you could make cards with them until the cow's come home as i can never get to much of your insperation lol. Will have a go at making this one today. I just love every design you have done with it, you have used it a few times too, sure enough if it's your favourite it will be mine too!
I love the look of that embossing folder too, isn't it funny how you see it many times and then you see it again in the perfect colour and it hits you and rises to the top of your wish list!

Beautiful card. Such delicate colours. Just like Sandra, i think I'll have to get the Floral Doodles stamp (even though I don't do much stamping). You've shown so many different ways to use it and every single time the result is gorgeous.
