For Someone So Special

Hi crafters!  Another "die does it all" sort of card with a small twist I will explain.  I started by cutting the New York Background out of milk coloured card.  Just to be a bit different, I used the actual die on a piece of milk card and traced around the outside edge of it.  I used a ruler and a craft knife to cut on that line to create a frame for my card.  I added mounting foam to the back and seated over the New York background die cut.  I placed a Navy blue card behind it for a pop of colour.  Next I cut the Herald Square die and used the smaller die to cut the inside out to create a frame.  I mounted it on foam to raise it and placed it in a diamond orientation with the tips peeking over the edge of the frame top and bottom.  I stamped my sentiment in Cobalt Blue Archival ink and cut it out with the New York tag.  Before removing it from the die, I inked it lightly with Stormy Sky distress ink.  I cut the inside of the Times Square to place underneath the tag in the centre just for a bit of extra detail.  I added some cream flatback pearls to the corners and the other die cuts to give the card a more complete look.  A paper pierced milk mat, a thin navy blue mat and a final milk coloured mat finished the card off nicely.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

    Morning Sue
Thank you so much for putting me back into 'Sue Land' this morning. All's well again and we have another beautiful yet simple gift suitable for any occasion or gender by adjusting the background colour. As you say your die is doing all the work but your back colouring shows it off to perfection.

Steph - hope you're feeling a little better. It's odd not having your name here everyday.
Norah - take care young lady and I'm hoping to see you back soon.

Saturday shopping calls but I'm not looking forward to going out the winds have not died down from last night.

  44. Hi Sue, beautiful card love this background die. Hipe you are enjoying your well deserved break. Lol lynne m x x x

Cully still nervous when I take poochies out to the park. I spend all my time constantly looking around for any sight of that large dog. Cully doesn't chase Tilly but stays quite close to me. I'm hoping in time her and me relax enough to enjoy the park more. Hubby's ribs slow to heal so he is unable to take poochies for walks. Told him he will owe me so many lie ins that instead of trying to catch up with them he can buy me some craft goodies instead ( not telling him thats why I dont mind getting up early - there is method in my madness).

Pam - sending oodles and oodles of muddy paw hugs from devious divas for this extra painful day x x x

LYNNE glad Cully is okay and no physical damage done. It will take her time to get over the attack. My boy Ben was attacked by two Bearded Collies who had him pinned down and he ended up with 3 clips in his neck, he was lucky but it did take him a while to get back to normal. It gives you a fright too and you are constantly on alert and waiting for something to happen again.
