Wednesday Card Giveaway 2015

Hello everyone and welcome to the first Wednesday Card Giveaway of 2015!  We are nipping back to my  second release of dies for this one.  I embossed the background first with the Heart Lattice embossing folder for a delicate look.  Next I cut four of the Austrian corners in coconut white card and glued them into place in each of the corners.  Using the Vienna die set, I cut a decorative die in white and backed it with a solid dusty rose die and glued them together.  I did the reverse with the next layer and cut the Decorative outer die from the Salzburg die out of dusty rose and backed it with the solid in white.  Back to a white decorative die with the smaller die in the Salzburg set, with a dusty rose solid behind it.  All were layered up in the centre of the card.  I stamped my sentiment in black and cut it out with the oval from the Vienna die set.  I inked it with Victorian Velvet distress ink before removing it from the die.  I attached it in the centre of the card with mounting foam.   Using the Itty Bitty Dotty bow, I cut it in white and used the Itty Bitty Classic bow and cut a matching one in Dusty Rose to back it with.  I assembled the bow and glued it in place below my focal element.  I finished the card in my usual method of paper piercing a white mat layer, then adding a thin dusty rose mat and a wider white mat layer and some flatback pearls in the corners.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size.  If you would like to be entered in the drawing for this one, just leave a comment on the post (directions are on the right hand side of the blog if you need them.)   The winner's name will be drawn and posted on Saturday's post, don't forget to check back.  All for now, Sue x

  6. Morning Sue, Pam and all Wilsonettes. I really like todays giveaway card, it is so elegant, it is one of those cards that only need the centre focal point to be amended with either different sentiments or a delicate topper and can be used time and again, it is one that could be partly prepared for all emergencies isn't it.

Pam how is your Robbie getting on?

Good luck everyone with the giveaway.

Have a great Wednesday everyone, stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs June Smith xxx

    morning Sue
What a fantastic way to start this year's Wednesday Give Away. I really do not know how you can give up your beautiful creations as you do.
Today's gift is so gentle and soft and so inspiring. Your colour palette for today is just wonderful. I can think of many who would just love to receive a gift like this = I for one - and it certainly has to be a 'keeper'.

Cameeli - love the name of your new Grandson. You stay on your cloud for as long as you like. As you say it's one of the best feelings in the world and one that never goes away. These tiny ones are so precious.
Mrs B - enjoy your day. I know you will. Isn't is lovely to craft with like-minded people and particularly if they're as mad as you! (in the nicest possible way of course).
Norah - thinking of you and sending armful of hugs hoping to help.

No frost here this morning such a difference from yesterday but still an inside day. I'm working my way through Feb bday cards as I've to start on my youngest G.Grand Daughter's first year book. It has to be ready for Feb 14 so need a clear table for that. Where do the years go!! They seem to get faster and faster.

To all in pain/suffering I hope you feel better soon. To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

Congratulations, I am genuinely so over the moon for you, Mason is a nice name too, my three daughters are mad on watching the Kardashians and one of them has a son called Mason and he is such an angelic little boy, good weight too, I hope all went straight forward for them! Lots of Grandma duties coming up soon then! Huge hugs Elizabeth, you and Mari mystery be on cloud nine xxxx
Janet, bonjour, mon ami, comment allez-vous a la fois? I do hope you can decipher that. I am pleased that it is a little warmer today, not quite so treacherous for Mr E to go to 'la boulangerie'! I am so hopeful that one say we could come and craft with you, even if it's a tent in the garden, hugs xxxx

  65. Hello June, just saw your comment. Robbie is doing fantastic, his therapy groups have been getting him to walk with the aid of a hoist and a walker like a zimmer, and they have been supporting him and helping move his legs.
On Christmas Day after their lunch he wheeled his chair over to the sink with his plate, asked his Mum for his walker and then walked from the kitchen to the lounge unaided. Very slow and George followed behind with his wheelchair but he did it. A true Christmas present for his mum dad and sister who videod it and posted it on Facebook. It is so emotional to watch. We hope this is just the start of his complete recovery. He has come so far and has been so strong

Tilly just gone back to school I will miss her she is my best friend and it's nice having her around plus I hate the school run!!!!

Finally a " major incident " has been declared at work. Finally admitted too many patients and not enough beds. Sorry to say that the over stretched elastic band of the NHS has finally snapped. There is no give left!

Hoping to get some crafting done in the next couple of days. January has never been a good month for me and in recent years has been worse. Hate the cold and dark, always spent up at Christmas and tend to relive the awful time I had 3 years ago! Anyway off to see friends at fat club! My friend. Carol is blind so what have I got to worry about? She is always upbeat don't know how she does it. Work tonight! Now that should be fun!

    See you all tomorrow xxx
