Thanks

Hi there crafters!  I found this little gem in one of my old folder last week when I was looking around for the cards to post on my favourites of 2014.  I didn't even realise that I had missed posting it last year!  I think I was holding on to it for an autumn post because of the colours, but I think I will slip it in here now before I forget it for another year!  This card uses my Lattice Heart Striplet from my first die release.  Starting with a piece of Ginger card, I cut the insert twice, once on each side of the card.   I wrapped a piece of off white silky crush ribbon around the bottom of the card and taped the ends to the back.   I added mounting foam to the back of the card and raised it over a piece of milk coloured card for dimension.  Next I used the striplet with the outside cutting edge on a piece of milk card.  I cut a coordinating backing piece for it out of ginger card and glued the two pieces together.  I added foam to the back and mounted it in the centre of the two striplet insert cut outs.  I made a flower out of the Heartfelt Aster dies and the ginger card.  I added some leaves out of the set too.  I seated the flower on a silky crush double bow with some baby's breath and a cream jute bow.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it into a small tag , tucking the end under the flower.  I edged it with some gold ink.  I finished the card with a double milk mat with a pierced inner layer and some cream flatback pearls.  I hope you like it!  The finished dimensions are 8" x 8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

    morning Sue
What a beautiful way to start the day. A most gorgeous bouquet sat on Sue Wilson's dies. (nearly forgot the grammar there)lol. I love the colours you chose for today's gift and can see them used throughout the year not only for Autumn. I already feel spoilt with your gifts and we're only just into the new year!

Our visit to market yesterday was lovely despite there only being a handful of stalls (I do not blame the stall holders as in the temperature it was and then icy rain I wouldn't be stood out in the open). It was quiet in the cafe too - only eight in number - but the atmosphere was good and the chatter loud. Of course we had to call at the pastry shop on our way back to the car and so last night's meal was paella with large crevette and finishing off with pastries - Raspberry and Citron mousse sat on a layer of raspberry sponge soaked in some sort of spirit topped off with a small piece of dark chocolate. Mr E chose a triple layer of dark and milk chocolate mousse on a praline base. Sorry if you cannot cope with such richness at this time of the morning but I forgot to ask you to shut your eyes for a time.lol

Down to earth today - some housework has to be done and then hopefully a little crafting to finish off the day. I hope you all have a good start to the week-end and that any arrangements made go off without a hitch.

Cameeli - not long now before your new grandchild arrives. Hope you can keep calm.
Norah - hope you're OK after yesterday. I'm with you always.
Sandra - if your lovely daughters are playing fb this week-end I hope the conditions are not too bad and that you stay inside where it's warm and dry.
Steph - if you have a fair tomorrow I'm hoping that you will have many customers spending their Christmas monies.

To all in pain/suffering I hope you feel better soon.
To everyone please take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

  94. Hi there Sue and all lovely Wilsonettes.
It may be a dull grey day in Lancs but you sure do know how to brighten up winter Sue. I love these colour's and at last I can say I have that striplet : ) and I hope to be able to say that more often as the year goes on, at least I'll try ! Well Ive had my first (of many) numpty moments of 2015 !! So yesterday I was cutting the daisy dies - both open and closed petals, trying to get a few done before going to get monthly bloods done, eventually I get back and continue cutting, but where is my smallest closed petal die ? I emptied my basket incase it was still in the card - nope, looked under my cutting machine, nope, kitchen, bedroom, lounge, even the loo - nope... Back into my paper bin and this time I turned it out onto the floor (baring in mind it had zillions of poked out paper/card etc) note to self 'empty more often' where is that bloomin petal die (no pun intended ) as it wasn't the real word I used... Oops.
Since being diagnosed with Crohns Ive lost some weight so my clothes hang, so turn up my jeans so I dont trip up, sew a hem ? Dont be daft, too much crafting to do, who wastes valuable time hemming ? So I thought Id have a peep at my folded hemmed jeans, yup, there she was, my little closed petal daisy die laughing up at me snuggled in the hem (if I didnt know better Id say those pesky flakes had some conspiracy and bribed my die to help send me gaga) !! So that was my first 'moment ' of the year !
So now Im sending all my love and thoughts to anyone that's having a really bad day for whatever reason, please take a hug or two.
No market today or tomorrow and may not do it at all this month as last year I spent more on the table than was sold due to weather and lack of people at the market, Im really undecided what is the best thing to do.
Janet please keep my imagination going with your French tails I do enjoy reading about your days. And I could eat those naughty pastries and still look like a stick insect LOL so bring em on gal : )
June... im SO sad for your son, been there myself and still cant talk about it or come to terms, so go and give mummy hugs (and mine too)
    Love to all.
    Lancashire Steph xxx

So sorry about your son and his lovely dog China - what an awful blow for him and such a young dog, too. Been there many times with much-loved pets and had an upset last night with my lovely old cat Molly 2 having a major fit. Vet said to keep a watch and no treatment needed - so fingers crossed it's just a one-off.

  146. Hi Sue

You must have overlooked this especially for a grey dayl like this, to bring warmth and a smile to us all. I have that striplet die, I need them all really as they're such fun! Plus I've been waiting for an excuse to try that ginger card! Mums birthday in 2 weeks so maybe I'll try it.

Janet Ecco, my mouth is watering after reading about those pastries. A visit to the Christmas biscuits is in order.

Another day of being mostly asleep. Supposed to go to a family gathering tomorrow and not sure I'll make it. Will try though, even if for an hour. House is semi accessible but people will have to move cars to make space to the door. Haven't seen some of them for ages and I hate the questions, I have to try to be honest without worrying them and it's hard to know what to say. I might not be able to comment tomorrow if we do go so if I do miss out I want you all to-

Stay warm, stay safe and do a bit of crafting for me!

Have those darn forms to complete and sent next week, most of which is printing off 'evidence', will be hard if I'm still sleeping 18 hrs a day! No crafts til it's done. That's some motivation...

    Hugs

    T x
