Good Sunday morning all! This one happens to say Happy Birthday, but could easily be for a wedding, anniversary or just thinking of you (it was probably just the handiest sentiment stamp at the time!LOL) Using the
Bevelled Glass striplet, I cut a background by continuously cutting the die three times across a piece of coconut white card. It is amazingly easy to line up and cut each time so you have a quick background ready to go. I placed a
self adhesive sticky sheet behind it so the adhesive was exposed through the cut out areas on the front. I coated it with
Diamond Sprinkles for a blingey tone on tone white card. Next I gave it a thin white mat and added
white flatback pearls to the some of the cut out areas. Using the
Delicate Daisy Open Petal die set, I cut several and layered them up to make two different sized white flowers. I added a pearl to the centres then seated them on a piece of
white tulle to the left side of my card. I stamped my
sentiment (from the Cr. Exp. Bold Sentiment stamp set) using a
clear Perfect Medium pad and heat embossed it with
Silver Shine embossing powder. I cut it into a strip and ran the
Brushed Pewter Distress stain dabber along both sides to edge it. I added some mounting foam to the back and tucked the end under my flower. I completed my card with a white paper pierced mat, a thin silver card mat and a final white mat. The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size.

ReplyDeleteI love the way your striplet dies look when used straight across your card. Today's gift as you say can be used for any occasion and one I could have ready made up without it's sentiment and therefore just waiting to be used. White/White is just the colour palette I love and so today's gift has everything I just need so a big Thank You is needed from me.
I managed yesterday to use your striplet die from your last launch to do just this yesterday as I do not have today's die and it looks just wonderful. Oops shouldn't have said that 'self praise is no recommendation' as I was always taught.
The weather forecasters for once got it right and we had snow all day yesterday. We haven't had any more overnight but it's very very icy this morning. The garden looks very pretty but the bird tables are going to need clearing so the little feathered friends can feed today.
To all in pain or suffering I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. The lights have just dipped so am prepared for a power cut. Nothing unusual here so off I go to get my coffee before it happens. See you tomorrow.

This particular Striplet Die is one of my most favourite and most used of all your Striplet Dies. I have made loads of cards with this one. It is one of my "go to" dies. A real "must have". I love my ice snow glitter so I will be using this instead of the diamond glitter as I just have to have a go at this card Sue !! Got to print and finish the last of the paperwork today. Would rather curl up and sleep but already had 2 extensions. Cold weather and I just don't suit and I understand the draw of hibernation! Billy happily using my blanketed legs as a dog bed at present so not a lot getting done as once the shopping is away we have a light lunch and I will lock myself away... Billy is a big dog who likes a big amount of attention so I shall leave he and Mr W to it for a few hours and get things finished. Not before time too!

Really love todays card and that Striplet is a favourite of mine. I , too, love white cards. Your daisies are so oo useful!

I have followed your blog for many months and decided it was time to tell you how gorgeous your cards are and that you give me so much inspiration. I also like reading about your Wilsonettes, they are so friendly. Today's card is lovely, the striplet is very versatile. Another for my growing list of SW dies.

ReplyDeleteI used this die with my 8yr old Grandaugh some time ago. She chose ginger and custard card with gold behind the striplet - and was so proud of her efforts. It was really good, her Mum couldn't believe she had made it.
