Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi blog friends!  This is probably the last chance to use a Christmas card for my Wednesday card giveaway so I thought I would take advantage of that!  If you would like to be entered in the drawing to win this one, just leave me a comment.  I started with a piece of Ruby red card and embossed it with the Nordic Trees embossing folder.  I ran a line of dries clear glue around the edge and then dusted it  with Iced Snow and set it aside to dry for a few minutes.  Using vellum, I stamped the Striped Poinsettia in clear perfect medium.  I heat embossed the pieces with True White embossing powder and then cut them out with the matching Classic Poinsettia dies.  I assembled the pieces to create two poinsettias, one slightly larger than the other and added pearls to both centres.  I stamped my sentiment on to white card using a Clear Perfect Medium pad.  I heat embossed it with Silver Shine embossing powder and cut the sentiment into a strip.  I dusted the edges with Iced Snow in the same fashion as the background.  Once all the pieces were dry, I assembled them and added a few Holly sprays cut out of white card as embellishments.  I completed the card with a white pierced mat layer, then a thin red mat and a final white mat in my usual style.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 1/2" in size.   I hope you like it!  All for now, Sue x

    morning Sue
Today's gift certainly woke me up this morning. There's nothing retiring about it and it certainly makes a statement. The only thing I would change a little is the intensity of the red but other than that it's a beautiful gift and my dedicated space to a 'Sue Wilson piece of Artwork' is dusted off just in case.

Well Knit and Natter was a lovely afternoon. Crafting with friends around you is just lovely and I wish that we all lived close enough to have a 'craft session' together. Oh can you just imagine how that would feel.
Should be going to hospital to see a Clinical Technician who would show me how to use a Tens Machine safely etc but just before I left the house yesterday afternoon a phone call came to say they were having to cancel my apptment as 'he was off work' and could not give me another apptment until the middle of January. I've already been waiting for two months to get some other form of pain relief and now I'm expected to wait up to another two before something can be done. Anyway we decided that I'm going to buy a machine and see how I get on. The only thing I can say is 'I wonder how they would feel if they were in chronic pain every day'.
Have a bday card to make for my son-in-law and then hopefully can start clearing my Christmas crafting until next year.

To all under the weather hoping you feel better soon. To everyone if going out please please take great care and stay safe in these horrible high winds etc. See you tomorrow.

  131. Fabulous card Sue thank you. Easy to make and the result is absolutely superb. This has given me inspiration to do just the last remaing cards for Christmas and with a change to the flower it can be used to do several birthday cards which I have to make. Cheers and grateful thanks many hugs Maureen

Beautiful sunny Somerset day. the sunrise over the Quantock Hills was stunning.
Round 10 over with, 5 to go. Tiredness is creeping up on me all the time now, but you know what? I don't feel guilty at having the occasional nap or two (sometimes 3 or 4) whenever I feel like one.
I have finally found my Christmas spirit and the tree is down from the loft and up, but not decorated. My son and I forgot to remember the box of trimmings!!! Doh!!!
Comfort blanket hugs from me to you are available from my ever overflowing basket of love. And special warm, fuzzy thanks to all of you who have left me messages of support.
