Hi bloggers!  This is the last video in Series Three.  Don't worry, series four is just around the corner!  Today's card is petticoat channel card, very different, but I love it!  I have come up with a really cool technique for making some embellishments so you will just have to give it a watch to find out!  All for now, Sue x

OMG! I love today's card its STUNNING! I can't wait to have a go at making the embellishments using gilding flakes and glossy accents what a clever idea, (I wonder what it would look like using glitter?). The soft gold card is the prettiest 'gold' card on the market. The stick pins are as usual fabulous ( can you guess I love today's card! Lol) thanks for the video you make everything easy for us to follow.

  11. Well it's really WOW today, Sue. The French border is so perfect for this card to give the ooh la la factor! Of course, love that black.
Clever use of the flakes for the embellishment too (bought the mulled wine at HW and this is the spur needed to actually use them.)
Thank you for the whole series of videos - much enjoyed and so informative. Will look forward to the fourth!

  55. Hi Sue and all friends. Barbie, Barbiepinkfairy where are you, I need adrenalin, get the paddles ready, its sticky adhesive sheet and flakes and I dont feel so well !! I've come out in a sweat !
Oh my sweet Lordie Sue, please think of my age, health and state of mind when you make series 5 as its too late for series 4 ! And I dare say there will be more sticky sheets and mega helpings of flakes on their way - cant wait as series 3 has been just so informative and useful, thank you : )
Its such a pretty card, the border row is so Sue Wilson, and obviously can be colour changed to suit both season and occasion.
Im so looking forward to your next launch. Unfortunatly I think Barbie beat me to our craft heaven yesterday and left me nothing, not even 1 little die, although I did find some black snow and the new berry red pva glue, so at least I came away with 2 useful products to use today, still SO many festive cards to make ready for the next market but trying to do as many in each day as I physically can.
I hope your day is full of happiness and laughter today Sue.
And Im sending love and gentle hugs to those that need or want one hoping it brightens your day just a little knowing you are not alone.
    Love you.

  64. Good morning Sue and Wilsonette friends,
I was thinking it amazing how the gilding flakes remind me of an opal with the various colours that goes on through it or like a stain glass window in the sun with it streaming through giving off a kaleidoscope of colours, dancing in front of your eyes. The French border is my favourite border of all your collections Sue as it reminds me of a beautiful ballerina's tutu or the petals of a fuchsia that dances around in the wind. Today's card is all the CanCan dancers at the Moulinge Rouge in Paris doing the high kicks that they do best. If the black had had a deep red off set under each one then it could have been their petticoats under their beautiful skirts. The charm blank that you have filled with the glossy accents and gilding flakes looks like it is a cabachon opal shining out it's brilliance and finishes of the bow and card beautifully. Thank you Sue for igniting my imagination into full flow once more as i now have my brain going faster than the rest of me can. I am awful glad that one part of me can still go at full steam ahead now and again. Sorry i forgot to say how pretty it was, as it is pretty.
Please don't come home all battered and bruised from your fight today with the council Rose (in Chester) but i hope you win it and remember slow calm gets to them more and wins more points. Good luck flower.
Oh Tandy, i am sorry that you are in such a bad state at the minute, of course all that has gone on this past 18months is the cause of your poor body being so much out of kilter to normal. I keep hoping and praying that you are going to come on with the news that you are so desperately waiting on. I am sending hugs down your way and wrapped up a wee bit hope and prayer with them that things are going to improve and i am keeping that hope alive flower because i know that it would help you 100% if it could come about. Sorry if i am upsetting you as i don't mean to but i hope you know what i mean.
GrannySue, you need to cut out all of the first components out, then move on to the next and so on. I found that cutting all the same bits for the wedding invites first and then all the next bits and so on down the line i got on faster than i did doing the cards one at a time. Putting together all the first bits that went on to the top of the next bits and then on the card itself worked out faster for me. I don't know if this little bit will help you, but you will get there and hopefully faster so that you can see something for all your effort.
Lynda, i hope our Lynne is feeling more like herself again soon. It takes it out of you when you don't keep right yourself and the most important people in your life are ill and you can't do anything for them. Sending her hugs like i do everyday, but i hope that she gets backs some of that strength that we know she has inside her again soon.
    end of part 1

    ReplyDelete
  65. Oh it is so nice to see your name back again Pam. I know just how hard this time of the year is for you but slowly your strength is coming back. Sending you loving hugs that good friends do for each other.
Oh boy it is a bit cold today up here at my hills but that is what the coal fire is on for. I have my friends aran cardigan to sew up for her as she can't get it right and keeps having quite a few rows/inches left over when she gets to the end of one side, the other is not. But there again i pin it and i work from the top down to sew it up which works out each time. It will help me recover from the trip around Stirling yesterday with said daughter and my friend. The car is filled up with more bits and pieces for Kirsten and Ryan's new home(fingers crossed) that we seen in the sale and some Christmas presents that leaves me just 3 people to get for. Hubby who lord alone knows what he wants, Rory who just wants 2 games and doesn't need anything else(his words), and Kirsten's father in law which i now know what he likes and it is easy to source. Why are men so awkward to get for or please? And i hate shopping when it is busy as people don't see me as it is, they are in that desperate a rush, so what chance do i have when it gets busier. Oh well, never mind will see what i can conjure up between now and then. Have a great day everyone and let some of that sunshine out from inside you, make someone else smile. Sending hugs to all my Angels who never ever fail to make me so glad to be a member of such a beautiful lot of company,
    Love and crafty hugs

  104. Hi Sue and everyone. I'm sorry but this card feels to busy for me, I like the technique you used and the gilding flakes,a gorgeous colour. Have tried a few times now but still not sure if I can work with it.
Spent morning cutting out bits and bobs for Christmas cards but it wont be many sent that are hand made this year because the postage has gone up so terrible, even if I making them flat as possible it's still quite expensive which is a shame as many in my family now has been used to receive a card,Oh well I'm just saying.

To all down,up and all around about Take care and Warm

  106. Spectacular, but like Steph I was in a bit of a state watching this video. I love gilding flakes, but always manage to knock them over and they go everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Sticky sheets I hate cant get the backing off and the last time I used one I put it down safe while I answered the door, sat back down and couldn't find it anywhere search High and low and hours later found it stuck to my bottom (my jeans) as I sat on it.Hubby thought it hysterical and I haven't used one since. The things we do for craft. Hope all is ok and those that are not have a hug from me. Stay safe in this terrible weather. Hugs Theresa x

  108. Hi Sue,
I think you know what I'm going to say! Not my favourite card today as it's black and for me very fussy - sorry. I do have this set if dies and love it and the petticoats might be better in white or cream or even a delicate colour. Did enjoy watching the video though. Wishing everyone is feeling better today and sending lots of love to those who are not doing too well. Lynda thank you for keeping us informed about Lynne and pleased things are getting better for her, but do miss her. Sending love and hugs to all, love Alison xx

  130. Hi Sue,

Another lovely card. Sandra I have tried to leave a message on your blog but I couldn't I am not very good with computers. I loved your card today it is beautiful. Norah thank you for your kind thoughts but no good news as social services have said the children are to be put up for adoption as you can imagine my heart feels as though it has been ripped out. I just want to see them and give them a cuddle and to tell them that their Mummy loved them both to the moon and back. She herself was in care and always said over my dead body will my children go into care unfortunately this happened. Love and hugs to all
