Reflected Hearts
Hi crafters! It is all about the the Tethered Heart striplet today. Think aperture and cut outs and the different shapes you'll have from it to create a unique background for your crafting creations. I hope you like it!
The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Pam - so glad to see your comment yesterday. You've had such a tough year - just come back when you can. Big hugs.
Good morning Sue and everyone. Beautiful card, will watch the video later. Checked Julia's blog and she's let slip about a new set of your dies due in November - any chance of some sneak peeks? It's my birthday next week so I know where any money will be going. It was lovely to see you pop in yesterday Pam, just know that we are all thinking of you. Sandra, I've read about your dilemma and I would do your own show/stall, don't let others take credit for your wonderful work. Sue xxx
Hi Sue. Beautiful card, this really shows the die off beautifully. Pam it was good to see your comment yesterday. Sandra, I know you are in a difficult position but try and listen to what we are all saying, don't sell yourself short my lovely friend : ) Sending my daily hugs to everyone. Take care.
Another absolut beauty from your hands Sue. I love it, kept soo simple, but yet soo elegant and luxurious. A real beauty for sure. Stunning work as always hun, well done.
Morning Sue What a beautiful beautiful gift for today. So soft and gentle nothing that hits you straight in the face. Absolutely gorgeous and one that can be used for many occasions by just changing the background colours. For me It is a 'must do' gift for that special person in anyone's life.
Pam - thinking of you always. Stay strong lovely lady. So lovely that you could call in. Norah - I so agree re the introduction of animals from different climates. I cannot understand when people complain re re-introducing animals which were our natural ones in the first place saying that they will disrupt the ecology etc. It's a natural way of life and one that naturally controls the ecology. But of course you can guarantee that it all boils down to making money doesn't it! We only have Red Squirrels here in France nots Grey in sight. I hope that makes sense. Sandra - if you're sharing costs then you should have your own name displayed so you stick to your own craft name. You have your own identity and as you say you want to know how the general public sees your cards. I agree it's a tricky one but fair is fair and you put a lot of hard work into creating your beautiful cards.
To all in pain and feeling down hoping you feel better soon. To all take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow. Janet x
Good morning Sue Yay! I've got these dies so can have a go at making a similar card later on. It's so clever of you to design all your dies to work together BRILLIANT idea! A brand new set of dies to be launched in November Whoop! Whoop! (Guess who's birthday it is in November?) lol. Now I wonder what I'll ask for as presents Hmmmm! I loved video days and look forward to them every week, thanks Sue. Hugs x Heather T
My favourite "go to" die at the moment. In fact all the striplets are. Haven't used them this way yet, but watch this space! Beautiful card for any occasion but especially wedding or anniversary x x
GM Sue - I dont have this striplet die but think I must! what's this I see mentioned above - new dies in November - do tell'show more if/when you can! Will watch video later Rgs Clare W
Good morning Sue and everyone Was going to say Hazel will love this one as she has done a few things with this die. Lovely design and Im certainly looking forward to any new Striplets in the offing. Have a great day. Ang x
Old morning Sue, Love, love, love, this stunning creation. Also a new way to use this wonderful Die that I just LOVE. My Blog Post shows what I have prepared and will be getting the ladies in my Craft Class to create. Have a wonderful day Hugs
Hi Sue this is a very feminin card today, so pretty and what a lovely colour, I can also see it backed with different colours for weddings anniversarys etc. thank you for sharing. I have just bought the striplet die so will be plYing with this soon! Have a great day. Love Diane G xxxxx Anne completely forgot to say yesterday what wonderful news Iain is home, make sure you take care of yourself and I'm sure you both have a giggle at the antics putting on the stockings! Xxxx Myra I think Mark 3 turned out ok, I used brown paper this time to stop the edges going dry! I'm trying to find a chocolate cake recipe that tastes good, cuts well and doesn't dry out. Going to see mother in law today to see what she thinks of this one. Hmmmm is it a hardship eating cake? Well someone's got to do it!!! Lol. Let's home my frock fits when it comes to the wedding! Xxxx
Morning Sue beautiful card, love the new ideas you come up with. I have really lost my mojo at the moment, may try this one to see if I can get it back! Love Jean xxx
Hi Sue, Love this one. It is very elegant and striking in its simplicity. Did one similar to this only with three of the striplets side by side, never thought about using the " waste" bit for the middle! I really should use my imagination more! Pam, lovely to see you calling in yesterday. Take one day at a time and call in whenever you feel up to it, but remember we are all thinking of you. Sandra it's very tricky but I agree with others in that your name and contact details etc should be separate to the other lady's. You will have gone to a lot of trouble ( and blood, sweat and tears lol) to make your cards and deserve the credit and recognition.if she's not willing to do that, then just tell her you're not going to be doing the fayre. My lovely hubby Dave is taking me to try and book a couple of days in London so that I can see the poppies at the Tower before they start to dismantle it. I have bought one of the poppies but really wanted to see them in situ. Was going to go on my own for the day, but the cost of the train fare was astronomical! Have a lovely day everyone and sending love and hugs to you all especially those of you who are struggling in some way. Love Alison xxxx
Good morning Sue today's card is gorgeous. I do own the die. Unfortunately my Grand Calibur died yesterday so no big backgrounds for me until it is fixed. Hugs Jackie
Hi Sue, This is my favourite of the striplets it is so useful and every time I use it it is admired and I'm asked how I did that! I usually tell them it's quite complicated LOL :-) Lorna D
Morning Sue, stunning card what more can be said! What a super way to use the striplet die, I will certainly be playing later on today. Take care everyone, Jess x
A really beautiful card and a fantastic easy to follow video thank you. This is a wonderful die as it can be used for lots of different occasions I love it.
Good morning Sue and Wilsonette Friends, I love this striplet Sue as i just think of romance weddings, engagements, and anniversaries make this the ideal choice of die to go to. Today's card is beautiful as per usual in the white and touch of pink. I love the high/low technique of the sunken aperture and the raised tops make it a winner on the eyes. Thank you Sue for another beautiful, inspired piece of art delectation for our eyes to feast upon. Pam, it was so lovely to see you in yesterday. Sending you some boosting hugs and love dear friend. Take it easy flower as we all think we are just getting through when an anniversary pops up just to put a spanner in our works and put us back to the day and it seems as if we are away back as bad as ever. We are here, but i just wish that there wasn't miles in between. Take care lovely lady. Wheely, it's all that cooking that you did, it's not good for you. I hope that you get back up and about soon and can start putting plans into actions. I have had the sleepy bug since my day out at the SECC, but it is only a couple of times in the year so i make the most of it while i can, and sleep the rest of the week to recover. I hope that your energy comes back again soon. Myra i will try and put in a good word for you about the weather but sometimes it can be fickle just for the sake of it. The Trossachs is a beautiful part of Scotland with all the wonders going on all around to the very smallest right at our feet. I hope that you will have a great time up in my beautiful Country but i'm biased as i can find beauty up here on the most rotten of days(i know i'm seriously sad). For all budding decorators, i have a castle that could do with some good decorators, or there again it just feels like that because i need to do it all and don't know where to start. Sandra, i must have been typing yesterday when your comment came in so sorry. I don't think i would be happy with my creations being advertised under someone else's name. A) People might see them and contact her directly for the things or B) might have seen her work before. You remember names for two reasons 1, they are very good and two they are not. No, i think your name should be there getting your talent noticed by a wider audience for the very talented creator you are. Sorry had to stick my tuppence ha'penny in but i don't thnk your friend is playing very fair with you. Diane, i make a very good taster;))) if needed for cake tasting? A very big good luck to Mr G's mum, wishing her every happiness in her 2nd chance on life which she is grabbing with both hands. Good luck Barbara for tomorrow flower, sending you a big hug the now before you are more sore with the op. Wishing you a quick recovery and no eyeing up the young doctors;) Definitely watching far to much Miss Marple as i seen Chipping Clegghorn instead of Sodbury where Pam G stays either that or far too earlier this morning for the eyes. It is so nice to see some new names amongst our Wilsonettes, welcome everyone and please come back again soon. part 1
Well i am all on my own today as i finally got up to mum and dad's grave to put down the flowers and went and put some down on Jim's as well. I felt oh so much better yesterday after sorting out the flowers into their 3 vases, cleaning their stones and talking to them about the state they leave the top of their grass in. I told them about Kirsten and Ryan seeing the house that they are after so fingers crossed that their offer is accepted. There was a couple of people up there when i went yesterday and must have thought my cheese had well and truely slipped of my cracker as i was yapping away, but i came away feeling so much better. The hairspray got sprayed on the flowers well and truly to keep the little toerags at bay with there munching. They can have a munch when the flowers are dying off, but not before hand, so we will see if the hairspray does the job. From a dank and miserable misty rain up here at the Ochils, i wish you all a great day. I hope that you can let the sun shine out even if it is not in the sky. Make someones day with giving out a wee smile. Sending hugs to all my Angels on the blog and not at the moment. You are missed like you would not know how. Love and crafty hugs Norah (Glenochil)
Hi Sue Well this is a bit different! How clever of you to use the strip let die to cut an aperture and then put one on either side. Love it. I have this die and it is fabulous and much used. Thanks for sharing.
Good morning Sue, another striking card today! I was asked yesterday to make a Silver Wedding Anniversary card for a friend & this has given me the inspiration I need!! Many thanks Janette xx
Good morning Sue - this card is gorgeous and with a card to make for my mothers 91st birthday I think this could be right up there as one she would love. Hope everyone has a good day. Hugs and prayers are sent for all who are in pain. Take care all Helen K xx
Hi Sue, Another winner made with my favourite striplet! I will certainly try this one out. Love the colours too. Aqua and quite would be nice too lol! Barbara M - wishing you all the very best for tomorrow 's op. sending hugs your way. Alison - I would love to see the poppies - it's a shame they are not there for a little longer. Hope you manage to go. Sandra - I hope we have all helped - it seems to be unanimous! Don't worry about it and upset yourself , please. x Diane - hope the cake is a big success. Your wedding outfit will be just fine - Mary Berry does a lot of cake tasting!! x Well, ironing calls! It's been calling for the last couple of days but can't be ignored forever. Lots of love to everyone, Myra xxx
Gorgeous card, Sue and such a great technique to have the recessed heart in the middle. I'll have to take a look at your video later as I have no sound on my work computer!
Hi Sue. Such a beautiful striplet card and highlighted yet again by your brilliant tutorial, thank you. No sign of my enthusiasm/mojo returning, so I hope everyone is having a better crafting day than me. Love to all. Lancashire Steph xx
Yes Sue I love the card. What a novel way to use the striplet. Another item for my wish list |I guess but heyho the gift season is soon upon us!! Hugs Maureen...enjoyed the excellent video too Sue thanks.
Hi Sue My word don't know what happened to what I wrote but it all did appeared. Another stunner today. I just love your striplet dies. This one looks stunning. Sandra your creations are absolutely stunning as Mrs B and myself can vouch for. Please don't allow this friend ( not to sure I would call her that myself ) to brow beat you. She really should be more understanding of the time and effort it takes you to make them. If you make the cards they should be in your name end of story. Take care and please don't let this so called friend cause you any more stress. You need to put your foot down with a firm hand. Hugs to all in need of one today. Double hugs for you Sandra.
HI SUE WOW LIKE THE STEPPING DOWN INTO THE CARD.FAB. I AM A SUCKER FOR A NICE FONT, THIS ONE IS REALLY PRETTY. MY MIND RUNNING RIOT AGAIN. MAYBE GONG DOWN IN STEP GOING ROUND THE CARD UMMM, ANOTHER THING TO TRY. BORN AGAIN SPELLBINDER NADINE HUG XXXX
Gorgeous card in two of my favourite colours. You make it look so easy on the videos. Would love to know how you mat and layer, do you do it by eye, measuring or dies?
Hello Sue. Beautiful card I second Mrs. Norah McPhee, this card can be use in different ways. I love when you created cards like this one because that make the wheel on top of my head turn and find a new idea. I would like one day visit Korea Germany and especially England, because my husband said I would like it(He was in the US ARMY), Why? I love rain where I come from Panamá rain everyday (Rainy Season). October and November rain all day long and some time for days. I know is inconvenient most of the time but I think about those country or places where never rain or rain few time a year it most be very hard for them. Well one again thank you Sue for a wonderful card. Hello Mrs. Pam I hope you are doing well.
It's good to see a variety of ways to use dies. This one is really pretty and the dies work together really well. Have watched the video and enjoyed it very much as usual.
Love this and I have the striplet so will try something similar for a wedding coming up soon. Think I might have to lend it to my sister too, as she put earlier.
Hi Sue, Very much like your striplets cards and the colours with this one.. Pam - lovely to have word from you - we were all so worried about you. Baby Leo, now a 7lb super hero, sends you love and hugs now you need them. Steph - don't worry your mojo will come back, just keep in touch and let us know how you are doing.Take care of you. Love and hugs to all Meg xxxx
Hi Sue Wonderfully creative and the tutorial is so informative, as usual! Love your way of using several different dies and using them with different sets mixed together. That's what sets your dies apart, is being able to mix and still match. The delicate pink against the white is very pretty. Thank you for sharing with us.
Good evening Sue, and all the ladies. This is really beautiful and shows your dies off to perfection. Gorgeous. Well, had a day off today looking after granddaughters, but really it was no hardship as I needed the rest from the dreaded paint brush!! Norah, I bet you felt so happy (if that's the right word) after sorting out your mum and dad's grave and leaving the flowers. It gives such a feeling of contentment to me. Alimecca - Alison, how lovely to see the poppies, I hope you get booked up. I'm going to show George your posting to see if he can take a hint! Pam, gently does it and I send my love. Yorkielass - where are you? Who have I forgotten, well love and hugs to all, have as good a day as you can. xx
Hi Sue. It never ceases to amaze me how many different ways you find to use these dies :). This card is just beautiful! It's really stylish and I love the height from all the layers. As always, thanks for sharing with us. x
Gorgeous card! I haven't watched the video yet, my iPad was frozen and a friend just fixed it for me, gosh I so missed not being able to see your cards and what all our blog friends had written and been up to, so just a quick comment as I have so much catching up to do. Iain was at the doctors yesterday for an ECG and again today for a warfarin check, both were excellent and they are so pleased with him, he really is doing very well, we haven't let those pesky white stockings beat us yet LOL! But they are most definitely Not Sexy! Especially with the holey toe bit! Thanks again for all the good wishes " I have read them out to him, and he was amazed how much people cared. Good to see you back Pam, take care, big Hug xo Love and Hugs to all xo
Hi Sue, I'm Sorry I'm Late Commenting This Evening, But Not Feeling Top Knotch. Sue Take Great Care Love And Hugs From Sam xx Hugs To All
Hi Sue, thank you for the wonderful video tutorial, on this super creation. Love the really great designing of this also. Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Sue - hope you don't mind. SANDRA - for what it's worth. Think you should look on it as an experiment and go it alone, if you can afford the stall. Don't agonise over it - there's no accounting for other people's taste and (as Steph knows only too well) you can get good and bad days. Keep it light, keep smiling and go for it!! You won't know unless you try. I used to (attempt to) sell cards for charity - and all A5, one-offs, original, nice inserts and envelopes, cello bag packed, influenced by Sue so really acceptable - and couldn't even sell for £1.80 each. Realised after a long time it was madness but know others who have persisted over the years and after all, it's a hobby we enjoy doing so nothing really lost. Whatever, good luck!
Hi Sue. Sorry I have not commented for a few days. I have however been looking in each day as I just cannot go a day without seeing your beautiful creations !! Today's video, as always is fab. ReplyDeleteLove this one.
Gorgeous card using my favourite striplet die Sue one I will have a go at when we get home. Xx

ReplyDeleteHi Sue. Beautiful card. I love the way you use your dies and provide so much inspiration. Have a great day. Hugs to all xxx
ReplyDeleteI really love this die and what a great way to use it
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sue and Wilsonette Friends,
ReplyDeleteI love this striplet Sue as i just think of romance weddings, engagements, and anniversaries make this the ideal choice of die to go to.
Wishing you a quick recovery and no eyeing up the young doctors;)
Definitely watching far to much Miss Marple as i seen Chipping Clegghorn instead of Sodbury where Pam G stays either that or far too earlier this morning for the eyes.
ReplyDeleteLove and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)

ReplyDeleteHi Sue
My word don't know what happened to what I wrote but it all did appeared.

Gorgeous card in two of my favourite colours. You make it look so easy on the videos. Would love to know how you mat and layer, do you do it by eye, measuring or dies?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking card....I like the soft color that was added to your card...
ReplyDeletethanks for the video!!
Well done Sue
A beautiful card showcasing a stunning die.x
ReplyDeleteHello Sue.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card I second Mrs.
ReplyDeleteLove this striplet die. Will have to add it to my wish list. x Annie P

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteWonderfully creative and the tutorial is so informative, as usual! Love your way of using several different dies and using them with different sets mixed together. That's what sets your dies apart, is being able to mix and still match.
The delicate pink against the white is very pretty. Thank you for sharing with us.
Good evening Sue, and all the ladies.
ReplyDeleteThis is really beautiful and shows your dies off to perfection.
Who have I forgotten, well love and hugs to all, have as good a day as you can. xx

ReplyDeleteIain was at the doctors yesterday for an ECG and again today for a warfarin check, both were excellent and they are so pleased with him, he really is doing very well, we haven't let those pesky white stockings beat us yet LOL! ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeletethank you for the wonderful video tutorial, on this super creation.
ReplyDeleteI used to (attempt to) sell cards for charity - and all A5, one-offs, original, nice inserts and envelopes, cello bag packed, influenced by Sue so really acceptable - and couldn't even sell for £1.80 each. Realised after a long time it was madness but know others who have persisted over the years and after all, it's a hobby we enjoy doing so nothing really lost. Whatever, good luck!
