Floral Spray

Hello bloggers!  I wanted to show how a really simple vine could be used as a floral element to make an entire card.   Simple and quick, both of which are sometimes needed in our hectic lives!  I hope you will take a few minutes to enjoy the video.

On another note, I received a lovely email from Marisa Job.  She has used some of my Christmas dies to create a beautiful box, complete with step by step instructions and I thought I would share it with you here http://marisadesigns.blogspot.co.uk/

Buy from Joanna Sheen

The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Looked at Marisa's fabulous box but couldn't leave comment as no suitable ID - brilliant use of your dies.

Awww what a cute pretty card I like it! Can I ask a question, is everyone else having to do the 'prove you're not a robot' thingy that is usually turned off for Sue's blog and mine is too as its a pain, cause its been switched on for the past fortnight or so on here and its annoying with 2 words every time, and I can't always tell what it says, thanks in advance
Im off for an eye operation today and then another one in two weeks, anyhoo, bye for now all, and have a good day whatever you are doing !! xx Hugs, Vick xx

  25. Hi Sue - this is the first day in a while that I've sat down to go through everything, only to be greeted by a video!!! Lucky day! I love it when you post videos as I enjoy watching the step-by-step instructions.

I love this card, especially because I ordered the daisy dies (both sets) a few days ago and am now eagerly awaiting their arrival here in Bratislava!! The tip you gave me about Joanna Sheen posting free worldwide has made such a difference to me, because I now order from her frequently and it's great to get a little bit of home delivered to me here in Slovakia.

Am now going to indulge myself by going back over your last few blogs which I haven't had time to go through thoroughly, although I always have a look at the cards - and it goes without saying that I LOVE them all!!!

    Love - Yvonne xxxx

    Morning Sue
What a beautiful way to start the day. I'd love a bouquet every morning and your's is just simply gorgeous. Your Vine dies are so so elegant and I'm so pleased with myself for buying both sets of them. Love your colours for today. Once again a big big thank you for a wonderful way to start my day.

Pam = if you're passing by I'm thinking of you.
Steph - so sorry you didn't have a good day on Sunday but you know our song 'pick yourself up' and next market will be doubly good. It's a crafting morning in the kitchen today Steph so perhaps we could join our thoughts across the water and create something wonderful! You could do the gilding flakes though as you're experienced in using them now!lol.
Wheely Bad- it's definitely jumpers inside and log burner on here too. The mornings are really chilly so the burner has to be fired up. We don't have any central heating here only a storage heater which we put on to keep the house aired when we're not here. At least for the moment we don't have any winds. I suppose they're be waiting for when I get back to Yorkshire.

Off to have breakfast as Mr E has just got back with bread for today. To all who are under the weather hoping you feel better soon. To all take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

  50. Good morning Sue and Wilsonette friends,
I love the clean and simple lines of this beautiful card and that you could make the flowers any colour or type. The best thing about it is the white background makes it look so elegant.i had a quick look at Marisa's page as i like her beautiful work as well although her's is beyond me, but i do enjoy seeing beautiful crafted things and her box is no exception. Thank you Sue for a beautiful start to a day just made for the ducks as we have our own wee stream flowing along the road. Hope you have a great day Sue.
Safe journey Heather T home flower.
Vick, i have the same thing and sometimes i can't distinguish what the fuzzy words or letters are either. I wish all the luck lass on your operation today and be good and they will let you out and home again. Sending you hugs.
Janet(Ecco)i don't use my central heating now that we have the dual fuel burner as between that and loft and wall insulation i am stifled. Although it heats through the bottom half of the house it doesn't the top which i am glad about as i don't like a warm bedroom, that's what my flannel sheets and duvet cover is for(no duvet), lovely and cosy. And at least you will be able to keep colds at bay with your traditional style of heating as i think the fact that we live in central heated houses now with double glazing it is the reason that we all take all the germs going but hey that could be me just being old fashioned.
I sorted out my dies yesterday onto magnetic sheets so now that it is done i can have some play time today when i can keep my eyes open long enough to do it as just so tired the now after Sundays outing and ramings. So tired today so i will go and leave you all. Sending hugs to all my special Angels that need them or could just use one the now whether on the blog or not at the moment, my heart, mind and prayers i send to you,
    Love and crafty hugs

  80. Beautiful card and great Video! I have made a card similar to this and was pleased with it , as its a card that can be used for lots of occasions.
I don't know if it has been my iPad playing up, but last Wednesday I typed out a long comment ( my one fingered typing takes me a wee while ) TWICE! And it disappeared ( Bah Humbug! ) to let you know the good news that Iain was able to come home, he is doing really well and coming on a treat ( must have been all those healing hugs you sent him! ), my only problem has been putting on those full length elastic stockings, but while we were at the nurse yesterday I mentioned about it and she gave me an appliance to try ,and it did make putting them on much easier this morning.
So THANKYOU again to Maureen K, Norah, Myra P, Lynda, Angela W, and others for all the get well wishes xo.
Belated Birthday wishes to Tina, and I hope Maria and Brenda are feeling better, Sandra , I was sad to read about your daughter Lucy's eye problems it's a lot for her to deal with.
Glad to hear from Jean D that June Yorkielass is ok, I miss her not being on the blog.

  90. Afternoon Sue and everyone. Vikki Ive been commenting for the past few weeks regarding the robot question, and its on Kim's blog too (never use to be) I have to type in numbers before my comment is accepted, I think it maybe something Blogger has done not the owners of the blog.
Anyway, such a pretty quick and easy gift today Sue, my thoughts were - using your new festive dies, the hollysprig etc and pointsetta dies, this could be a quick, simple but very effective C card (with some iced snow) of course, have to have some bling dont we : ) Could even guild some plain white card stock to die cut the pointsetta, now that HAS to be foolproof (or Steph proof doesnt it) lol how hard can it be to use up bits of sticky adhesive sheet and guild on top ? Even this guilding phobe can manage that ! LS 1 - GF's 0 heehee.
Ooooo Janet, what warm hands you have, I bet your wonderful french kitchen is full of the aroma of fresh French bread, my mind is there, my idea's however are not Im afraid, Mr L has already pointed to my 'den' and made the noise of a whip cracking, talk about the over whelming task ahead of me !
Thank you for today's lovely video Sue, as always, so informative.
Must check out the box after Ive done waffling.
TOB - hon - hope you feel so much better soon, believe me when I say you also are being missed regardless of your thoughts.

  98. Hi Sue,
I just love this card! It is so simple really but so very effective. I used the vinery dies in white the other day as I still waiting for my holly dies to come. They looked quite wintry in white! I follow Marisa's blog but only rarely comment. I need to change that as I know how much it means to you when people do comment. Will try to do better! Her box is gorgeous and instructions very clear.
Vicki - hope all goes well with the Eye op. thinking of you.
Anne - lovely to see your post and learn that Iain is home and doing well. My friend had the white stockings nightmare after her stroke and she had only one functioning hand/arm at the time. Her husband was really having a daily war with the stockings!
Heather T - safe journey home!
Yvonne - so pleased you can get your goodies from Joanna . Happy crafting!
