Sneak Peek

Hi there crafters!  I have a sneak peek for you today for the Weekender shows on Create and Craft tv tomorrow and Sunday.  I will be demonstrating my new Festive dies on shows at 9, 12 and 6 on Sat. and 11, 2 and 7 on Sunday.  Today's card features one of the matching bauble stamps, it is so pretty!  I started this card by simply embossing a piece of milk card with the new Swirling Holly embossing folder.  Using the Vintage Bauble die set, I cut out the corner holder die out of soft gold card.  I stamped the Snowy Brook Bauble in Clear Perfect Medium pad and embossed it in gold.  I cut it out with the outline bauble die, added the matching die cut bead cap in gold and hung it from the holder in the corner.  I stamped just the oval centre of the stamp again in black and cut it out by hand.  I coloured it with Distress markers and then placed a piece of sticky adhesive sheet over it and trimmed it to shape.  I peeled off the backing paper and coated it with Diamond Sprinkles for a bit of bling.  I mounted it back on top of my bauble with foam mounting tape.  Using the Filigree Poinsettia die, I cut out several in gold to make three flowers.  I used the Classic Poinsettia cut out of milk to layer behind them.  I added the three flowers in the lower corner with some filigree leaves in milk card.  I stamped my sentiment and embossed it in gold and mounted it on the diagonal above my flowers.  I finished the card with a pierced milk mat, a thin gold mat and a final milk coloured mat.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8" in size.
As promised, I am going to be doing the drawing for the blog candy later today so please check back to the blog in the afternoon to see if your name has been drawn as the winner!  All for now,
Sue x

Cant seem to shift the icky stomach and now its playing my diabetes up still hopeful that with a week to go I can shift it before ally pally cuz come hell or high water I'm going this time.

Poochies believe that if they lay on my stomach somehow it will help , bless them but aarrrggghh no. They are being really scarily good at the moment apart from the odd instances of slipping back into their normal mischief making, Cully decided that she wanted to go and see a puppy in the park but hubby pulled her away. To make sure she got what she wanted she quickly chewed through her lead and off she trotted. That dog should be a tester for any new dog toy or lead etc cuz her teeth are like the baddie called I think jaws in the james bond film. You know the one with the silver teeth. She can go through anything. Tilly has brought a few plants indoors but on the whole they are looking after me. I am so going to pay for their good behaviour.

Wheelybad - go girl play the music and shout , lol and hugs x x
Norah - lol and oodles of hugs from pesky critters x x

Lindsay , June, Karen, Alison, Lynda, Maria
Margaret CO, Barbara n Ben, Tres, Pam, Steph, Frances, Maureen, Myra, lol and massive hugs

  49. GM Sue - love this and really love that embossing folder - I have just bought the new set of 4 already (dont want to miss out)as I wont be able to watch you live tomorrow(boohoo) as gota go out but will set the recorder so I can catch up afterwards. Hope you have a great time.

Wont be able to make AP either unfortunately - we have comittments next weekend that means is not a goer but I am already planning for April 2015!

Thanks for the good luck messages on blog from Wilsonettes re golf yday - thinking about my comment about lucky pants and putting boots it could be taken as this was all I was wearing - just to clarify definitely not so just to reassure if you were thinking that! - other items of apparel such as top, jumper and trousers were also donned - anyway, think the lucky pants and putting boots worked as I won 7&6 - for the non-golfers on the blog that means I'd won 7 holes with only 6 holes left to play - so game over. My opponent was a gallant loser and we had a nice game - so much so I've paired up with her for the ladies winter foursomes league. Happy Friday all

What a beautiful gift for a very dull Friday morning here and it's also on the chilly side.
I do so love all your C.cards Sue they are so lovely but also urges me on to get going but other cards just seem to get in the way. Will really have to pull my socks up. Will have to remember to set the recorder.

Norah - I'm with you all today.
Steph/Lynn hope you're both feeling a little better this morning.
Clare W -congrats on your win. Lucky pants and all for the four!!
Ginger - have a really good day. I know you'll enjoy it.

To anyone who is going to Manchester Eventcity today or tomorrow have a super day. Just be very aware of trolley bags and boxes. I had a wonderful day and as Wheely Bad said yesterday crafters are so polite letting you in so you can see demos being done on the stands. It was my first really really big show since I have had walking probs as me and crowds really do not mix but I have to say that the organisers had set the halls out with very wide isles and although it was very very busy there was plenty of room for all. There is three coffee areas but my only issue there was that there weren't enough chairs. Otherwise could have spent forever but I only took so much cash and made sure that my plastic stayed very much inside my bag. Even Mr E found one or two stands that caught his eye!

Well it's Friday again so housework urg........... this morning and then some crafting this afternoon on an belated Anniv.card.

Hope everyone is feeling somewhat better this morning and ready for the week-end. Take care and stay safe. See you tomorrow.

  101. Morning Sue. Hi to all my lovely dear friends. This is a true Sue Wilson card, and may I thank you for not giving me palpitations this morning lol, boy did I break out in a sweat when looking at and watching your tutorial yesterday, maybe one day I will be able to make such a complicated card look easy peasy, I can still visualise my beautifully guilded, iced snowed peice of card getting stuck to my folder, phew, Im making my heart thump even thinking about what damage I could do : 0

It must tug at your heart strings every time you have to leave Florida and your family and friends, especially when you've been there for quite a while, I hope you are not feeling too deflated today Sue.
I cant wait to watch your shows this weekend (plus record) as you give us so much help and many tips on how to get out of 'happy accidents' ! You always show us new ways to use our dies etc, you have helped me so much, more than you will ever know, so thank you. All I can hope for is that I do your dies justice, I do try and think like you, but dont always do such a good job, maybe when my collection grows, so will my confidence.
Pam, my prescription for today and for the next 2 days is .... 1 duvet, maybe a good book. A flask of hot tea/coffee. For Saturday and Sunday ... 1 duvet, flask of hot tea/coffee, tv ch674 note book and pen (for order numbers) nap inbetween shows : )
As far as Robbies site, it took some working out once I got to it, how to find the guestbook, but I wouldnt let it get the better of me ! Your welcome hon.
To my dear sweet Wilsonettes that are struggling to understand what life has given them, Im standing at your side always. To those who feel down, sad and in pain, I have many warm gentle hugs to offer, plenty to go round and more.
My special hug goes to Sue and Norah xx

    Love You.

  115. Hi Sue,
What a beautiful card! I really, really love this one. I ordered the EF but is hasn't arrived yet. The stamp is so lovely it would be rude not to have it to go with the bauble - wouldn't it? Hope I manage to get that! So looking forward to seeing you this weekend. Will try to watch as many as possible Live but have each one set to record.
Safe travel to the studio tomorrow. x
I have been reading several days posts to catch up!
Firstly - Norah - you are in my thoughts and prayers today. It's going to be a tough day . Was so sorry to hear you had been ill as well. Hope you are feeling a bit better. Sending love to you and Rory xx
Clare W - I had a good laugh at the lucky pants and the picture you conjured up this morning! Good win! Congratulations!
Alison - pleased you having a break from the decorating! Enjoy your day out!
Pam - sorry you not been too well. I do hope your ankle improves very soon. It's been a while . Hang in there. Sending hugs to you and Robbie.
Lynne - so sorry you haven't been well. I do hope you feel much better very soon. At least your four legged friends are trying to help? !!! Sending hugs to you too.
I'm sorry if I've forgotten someone who is ill - comes of trying to read too much at once - and old age I guess!
Just to hopefully make you smile! Kitchen table and chairs arrived Wednesday pm. Needs some self assembly - said instructions. Can be done by two people in 15 minutes! Well that seemed to be a sort of challenge to my husband! Why are men like that? Well we got it up in 17 minutes - we didn't fall out and it's still standing! The worst bit was lifting it up on to it's feet as has a heavy glass top! Phew!
Must go , have bored you for long enough,
Love to Steph, Wheelybad , TOB Theresa, Tres, Sandra, Anne, Sheila, Brenda L, Lynne, Lynda ,Lindsay Alison, June and Frances. Janet - pleased you had a good day!

  122. Good Morning, Sue. What a beautiful card! Because I can't afford many dies I try to make sure that they can be used throughout the year. These dies would work any time I think, the poinsettia can be cut with any colour paper so that you don't automatically think 'Christmas' and I think even the bauble could be used year round too :). As always, thanks for sharing with us. x

  123. A lovely card. I will attempt something similar with dies I already have. Hopefully will finish at the office fairly early tomorrow and give myself some crafting time over what's left of the weekend. Looking forward to watching the show via computer.

  144. Hi Sue

What a stunning card! So much work goes into them, a real labour of love.

Pam, I hope you feel better soon. It was a pleasure leaving Robbie a message. My spinal injury is nothing compared to what he's dealing with but having worked with so many ill/ injured/ disabled young people his age in the past and having siblings around his age (I have an unusual family) I feel I want to do all I can for him. I think about him a lot and I hope all us ladies rooting for him and leaving him messages helps in a small way. Big, healing hugs to you both xxx

Meg, I'm over the moon baby Leo is doing well and congratulations on another new arrival for your family. It's brilliant to grow up with a relative who's almost the same age, it'll make family gatherings and occasions so much fun for them both. Happy hugs all round.

Lynne M, I nearly fell out of my chair when Sandra mentioned a chain leash, I had a vision of a little dog with a huge chunky Rottweiler chain! Oh well, guess you had to be there! Hugs to the pups from Billy and myself xxx

I'm feeling much happier today, a quick blast of the Levellers then I told Mr W I fancied a trip to the shop so he suggested we all go when Billy has his walk. I brought so much chocolate, one of those big bars and although Mr W had about a quarter of it I ate the rest!A major dent in my usual 1400 cals a day but I didn't care. I also brought some cigarettes, really bad but if a pack of 10 and a slab of chocolate works I'd rather that than continue to feel frustrated and have to see a Dr for it. I don't recommend cigarettes (when they're gone, they're gone) but chocolate (and the biscuits we demolished lol) is a great cure.

Decided I'm going to get a second hand cd player for the room I craft in and turn up the volume in there soon as I need to :-)

I think the real cure is all the good wishes and support I get from my Wilsonette friends. Love, thanks and hugs for all of you, sending healing hugs to those that need them.

This weekend is sky box set, me, the laptop in the craft room crafting with you all finishing Alex's folder and pencil case.

That's me for today. Got to go in from the sunny garden and make calls now. Operation P.A hunt!!!

Much love and hugs to you all,

    T x

  190. Sue I really love thus stamp. It names the baubles something else. I've got the baubles and gave only used them to insert into the card so far. A lot more playing to be done. Thank you for your inspiration and bringing us all the lovely dies. Xx
