  8. Morning Sue, Pam and all Wilsonettes, such a stunning card today Sue, I love it, would never have thought of combining all the elements together and then running through embossing folder but what a stunning effect that has, another one on my list to try. Also love your stick pins, I also make my own and get so much satisfaction from doing them.

I am lucky enough to be coming to Ally Pally on a mini bus on Sunday so will see you there, so looking forward to seeing you again - hope I can squeeze through the crowds as I will be in my wheelchair.

I do hope everyone is OK, how's Robbie Pam and also your leg?

Stay safe, healthy and happy everyone. hugs June Smith xxx

Hope everybody is able to enjoy the late sunny weather we are having here.

  119. Amazing card Sue!
Love the gilding flakes and the iced snow, when added together they are stunning.
I would never have thought of embossing the finished card but it looks fab. Your videos are so informative and easy to follow, I look forward to watching them but have to admit I have already watched them on youtube.

  121. Hi Sue

A gorgeous card. I love the colours, the techniques, all of it! I'm amazed the glitter didn't scratch the embossing folder!

Speaking of embossing folders, I did buy myself 4 of them today, and the pva glue in 4 colours to go with. Retail therapy, works every time! Figured as Ally Pally wasn't a goer (June, I find crafters are the best if I'm in a busy place in my chair. I say excuse me if it's busy and at craft shows people always let me through. Sad to say in other places tbat isn't always the case!) I could spend a little extra month.

Norah, I'm so sorry to hear you've been poorly on top of grieving for your mother. I hope you are recovering from your illness now and I'm thinking of you and all your family, especially Rory. Hugs of condolence xxxx

Steph, your feelings are never invalid and how each person feels (emotionally or pain wise) can never be compared with another. Don't hold it in, I did and I still feel bad. Wish I'd sorted it at the time and then I wouldn't feel so grim now. Heartfelt hugs x

I tried to catch up on everyone's comments but I don't remember much after watching Sue's brilliant video... did that in the wrong order, didn't I?!

I'm still not in a great frame of mind, if I try to explain it I might very much melt again, Mr W home in under an hour so I'd prefer not to. Your messages have really helped me this last week, thank you all so much- so I will go and try do something constructive, brace myself up, whizz to the shop for chocolate, then craft once Mr W is off walking Billy. I also need some fast loud music to shout along to,
    Always makes me feel better.

Special hugs for Sue, I can't wait till the weekend, will be watching on the laptop, not quite crafting along as working to order! Pam & Robbie, Sandra, Linda, Lynne and the princesses, Maria, Alison (Mecca),YorkieLass June,Baby Leo, Myra, Lindsay, Theresa... struggling to remember any more names now. Special hugs too for anyone I forgot, anyone ill, in any type of pain or recovering and to Wilsonettes everywhere and anywhere.

  136. Love this card, but I'm with Steph on this one, I'd have the gilding flakes in my hair and the sticky sheet I'd probably sit on it without knowing. I'd love to do these techniques but have sneezed just as I put the lid on the gilding flakes (only once used) they were everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Tony (hubby) wondered why I had shiny bits in my underwear, but we had a laugh over it. They (flakes) sit on my shelf just staring at me waiting to tip upside down, they shall stay there for quite a while I think. I am in awe of all those crafters who seem to find these techniques easy.
I am making flowers at the moment and had a day where I can't remember anything so walked away and hopefully tomorrow I will remember what to do.
Hugs to all those in pain and to anyone who needs a hug I'm here to send you one.
    Love Theresa x

  149. Helloooooo Sue and the Wilsonettes! Well, good grief, where do I start? Three stunning cards Sue and two fantastic videos! Wonderful! It's having your very own Sue in class! Fantastic techniques and clever use of the bows to make a flower. I love the rows of bows EF very much.....:) Great effect of the gilding flakes and Iced Snow together. I love it, it's so elegant and definitely a "wow!" factor! One for Christmas cards me thinks.....! "Thank you Sue" for all the inspiration that you give to us. Good luck to you all in the Wednesday card giveaway! Another beautiful card....xx I'd love a piece of your creative mind...lol! Shhhh I won't tell anyone....honest....! Lol! Sending love and hugs to you and your family Sue xx Norah, what can I say? So so sorry to hear about your mum and that you have been poorly too. Sending lots and lots of heartfelt love and hugs to you....xxxxx :( Sending love and hugs to you Lynne, hope you're feeling better from your iffy tummy xx Wheelybad, whenever I felt low music helped me so much. I'd play songs that would make me cry (it got it out of my system) and then I'd put more upbeat one's that would take you back. It IS a great idea to put on your headphones and have a good sing song! Just remember though, the louder you sing the more chance you'll have of getting a bucket of cold water over you! Lol! I always had my music on loud....not realising how bad you sound to someone elses ears! My mum and sister used to be in hysterics....it was a while before they told me though....! I used to love "The Only Way Is Up" what a pick me up song that was.....there's also "Don't Worry Be Happy" have a nutty moment and go girl! :) xx
Sending love and hugs to Pam, Yorkielass, Lynda, Lyndsey and to all our Wilsonettes that need a love and hug today xx Take everyone xx Love Karen xx

Truly lovely card! I love these techniques and the seeming simplicity of the card! It ain't as simple as it looks but very satisfying and effective.
