Hello crafters! Today's video is a real treat of a card that mixes up several of the collections to make a lovely buckle card. I also show a really pretty way to make a flower out of some of your leftover strips of felt. I hope you can take a few minutes and give it a watch!

Wow Sue, I have seen you make a lot of these buckle cards in different forms and your video of it is still so inspiring. It's so beautiful, love the lilac. Have to have x-ray this afternoon to rule out pneumonia, but am sure will be ok as antibiotics and steroids seem to be kicking in, and I feel human again after 3 weeks. I Really Love today's Card as I'm so lucky to say I have the Fabulous Dies that you have used so I'm able to create The Buckle Card, THE SAD thing is I Don't have The Tide Together Embossing Folder
(PLEASE IF ANY ONE KNOWS WHERE I CAN PURCHASE ONE FROM, WOULD THEY PLEASE LET ME KNOW I WOULD BE EXTREMLEY GRATEFUL)
I know I can use another Embossing Folder but I so love this one I'm cross with myself for not purchasing it at the time!
Also I don't have the Beautiful Felt which I will have to purchase to make Stunning Flowers like these. I Love The White and Purple together, and The Fabulous Soft Tulle and Bakers Twine, and The New Pearls on a String which are such good value as you can cut of as much as you wish, and the price for them is Extremley good.
Fantastic Informative Video as always with lots of Tips and Techniques, I can't begin to Thank You enough for sharing, it means such a lot to me.

ReplyDeleteI knew poochies weren't listening to me yesterday cuz the little b's ( not sure which one did it) bit through some busy lizzie plants in a tub on the patio and left them on show. Did I panic oh yes - hastily shoved the stems back into the tub and turned it round so they were at the back. Hopefully hubby wont see them for a little while, so they can either magically grow some roots or hubby will think they just didn't take. You would think fur babies would behave for me as I look after them most of the time but no , I believe its because all they have to do is look at hubby with their big eyes and he thinks they're angels. Silly man !!!,

ReplyDeleteOh Sue, what a beautiful card that you have made for our delight this morning. I love your white on white cards as we know, but having that hint of colour just peeking out to say "hello" is just the ticket. Your buckle cards always look so intricate and stylish and the plainer ones or muted toned ones make the cards for those impossible people in our lives called men. This one would make a beautiful and different wedding card for someone special and you could incorporate the wedding colour scheme into it as the hint off.
Well Cameeli, i hope that Ofsted have finished and gone so that the staff can get back to normal instead of on high alert and stressed to the max. I have taken part in a few reviews for Rorys school (The Secondary Support School Service) in Alloa as a parents point of view. I get called in i think because i was the most awkward of parents and gave them a deadline at the Primary Support in how they could help Rory. He has come in leaps and bounds since, i can only sing the praises of the wonderful dedicated staff who are absolutely fantastic with him. Anyway you can breathe again Cameeli and get on with the wonderful work that people like you do.
Lindsay, are you having a thing about the "F" names the now as i couldn't help but notice how the wee foals i think all have names beginning with F. I would love to adopt poor wee Fauna but i don't think she would like my back garden somehow.
Theresa (Tob) i can only sympathise with you over your infection. If it is pneumonia it will be so sore to even have a wee cough so i'm glad that your tablets are doing some good and you are feeling that bit better than you have been this last few weeks.
Sam (Smithard) flower,left a wee message for you on google+ regarding folder.
They say that you get a whole new wind when you get blessed with grandchildren, but i think i'd just be even more knackered chasing after them. Have a great day with the wee ones Heather.

The card you have made today is nothing short of stunning !! It is just beautiful. I need to get the Umbria die set now !! I have everything else for this card apart from the tied together folder but I could use your heart lattice folder instead. I love the white on white with the hint of purple. Just great. Your felt flowers are gorgeous too. I think this is the most beautiful of your Buckle cards that I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing such a lovely card Sue. I made a card following your last video yesterday, using the inlaid technique. Instead of the Roses dies, I used your faux quilled leaves with white and periwinkle card to make a man's card. It turned out great !! I am very pleased with it, so thank you for sharing that card with us Sue.

Love the mix of the dies (but sob sob don't have them). The good old much-loved TT folder always a winner, too.

Great video Sue and truly lovely card. I love the colour combination - just enough colour to lift without dominating. Will be trying the new flower as I love flowers. Don't have all the dies but think I could adapt it a bit.

ReplyDeleteFor Norah and all those that had noticed, yes this years foals all have names beginning with the letter 'f' Florence, Frond, Flounder,aka floppy, Fauna, Fiona ( Sues name choice!) and finally Finn, each year is the next letter in the alphabet, with my forgetful mind it helps me remember how old they are! Fauna is still fighting she is a strong girl, I certainly can't take that for her.
Lynne those girls one of these days they are going to get you in such trouble;-)
