Fabulous card and video, I've seen the scroll effect before but not in this way. I love your stamps that match the dies my favourite is the Cathederal Lace set, are you bringing out stamps to match your dies? (When you get a spare 5 minutes lol). Cameeli you certainly have a lot of energy, Snowqueen I hope you are over the shock of nearly destroying your dies. Nora and Steph I hope your feeling a bit better today.

  38. GM Sue - great video - have used the scroll effect before but not round a focal element - I used it as a frame and it is very effective. Love that teal!

I am thinking of starting a papercraft (as opposed to a general craft) club in my area but not sure it's a good idea - have other Wilsonettes done likewise I wonder? and have they been successful? I am thinking 3 hours on weekday morning once a month if I can find a suitable and affordable venue - but what about insurance? i.e. if someone cuts their finger off or damages tables with a craft knife say?.. and do folks work on their own projects or are demos required? so many questions - if you any advice/comments I would appreciate them!

    morning Sue
Am back here in Sheffield so back to normal this morning. So it was lovely to see that you had invited me into your craft room for my morning cup of coffee and one of your wonderful demos.
What more could I want than Sue Wilson herself and a beautiful gift in the colours of TEAL and black.
I love the format simple and so useful for either gender and nearly any occasion.
I still am in love with TEAL and don't think I shall ever fall out with the colour.
Today's gift as you say is a little different for a SW card but when finished still has all the wow factors you give us.
Have to get ready for my fortnightly crafty afternoon and catch up with being away so it's going to be a busy day.
    See you tomorrow.

  64. Interesting card, the scroll is very effective and will have a go!

Clare W I used to teach with a friend paper craft classes in a church hall. 2hrs 30mins, but hire hall for 3. We provided basic equipment but you could ask students to bring basics. We used to have a project to make and would go step by step. Had to have public liability insurance which I got through craft insurance. It was very satisfying. Or you could just test the water and see if people just want to get together for hobby session. Cost would be different then. Hope this helps.

  69. GM Anonymous - you have a very good memory! re your comment above re 'Wilsonettes' - I think I may be 'guilty as charged' - it struck me that we should have a collective noun and an identity - not just 'bloggers' - so I offered up 'Wilsonettes' and, most probably in the absence of any other suggestions, it seems to have stuck. But I am not precious about it and I dont want a fight with Steph over it !!

Thanks Donna Jones for The Hobbycraft table suggestion but there isn't one fo miles round these parts. I think it will be hire a village hall job if I decide to go ahead with the idea.

  75. Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
I love the scroll work Sue, but have to admit to watching your videos on that wonderful learning place on the internet that starts with a Y. Ohh we are in for some beautiful cards. I know i cheated but it wasn't until 2nd one in that i realised that the reason i hadn't seen them wasn't because of my mind failing, but because i really hadn't seen them and they were our up and coming surprises. BEAUTIFUL is all i will say.
Cameeli, see when your finished with your exercise class, would you please bottle up all remaining energy and send it up to me. Honest just put Norah, Glenochil and it will reach me, which says a lot for our postmen up here. My body is still trying to come back to order from thinking about spinning yesterday. I'm still waiting on news about the new body, arms and legs but so far no joy.
I do hope that poor Berkeleys' medicine kicks in again soon. I bet she thinks "Oh no, here they come with that sharp thing again to stick in me". I so hope that she feels more like herself soon.
Heather i hope you get the results back soon and are sorted out to be on the recovery road. I think you feel a thousand times worst not know what is wrong than you ever do knowing. It took them until i was 42 to find out what was wrong, i had been getting told growing pains since i was 11. Sorry but on reaching 38 i told the doc that the only way i was growing was out the way as i have been this height since i was 12. So i really hope they can help you flower and soon so that you can start living again.
Going to go now but hopefully i will see you all tomorrow. So that's, Steph, Heather, Tres Berkeley, and me to get a new lease of life and get better. Cameeli, to keep up all the energy so that she can bottle it and send it up to us if our strategy fails us, our new blogees not to be scared of us as we don't honestly bite and are glad that Sue has new people to appreciate her hard work and Clare W, go to it flower and i really hope you succeed. I wish that there was a wee club around me that i could go to when i am able, anyway, bye
    Love and crafty hugs

  140. Helloooo Sue and fellow "Wilsonettes!" Love the video Sue and the great way to apply your sentiments inside these scrolls. I have to say the way I saw this type of "curling" was on the rose petals...so this is another fine idea! As always love the teal, the stamp and the iced snow....anything that glitters for me! Cameeli, proud of you with the diet and exercise, Heather with the results hope things will be good, Claire with the craft class, Linda with the tinnitus, (same here but I can just about put up with mine), our Norah (it's a pleasure to read all about you and the Wilsonettes and to Steph, I hope with all my heart that Berkeley will be back to fine fettle soon..... xx Take care everyone and "thank you" so much Sue for your wonderful videos, time and inspiration! xx Love Karen xx

  141. Hi Sue
Just had a crafty peak at the video (although no sound) - lovely card - enjoyed with a cuppa!
I've tried these scrolls, to make the card look like a blouse opening - quite effective with some bling behind the scrolls!
    (An idea for you Wilsonettes).
Received my Sue goodies yesterday - hoping that you will do a tutorial for making the Classic Rose from your dies... just not sure how to make it look as good as you do.

  152. Hi Sue,
    Hi fellow "Wilsonettes"'
Never knew where the name originated from as it was here long before me! Great name though! Was it Steph who named the WOW ( wonder of Wilson) ?
I haven't seen video as yet - been at Trafford Centre today and between driving and walking around in high heeled boots am a little tired!
Had to check the Blog , however! Won't have lost burned any calories either - had lunch!
Trust everyone is feeling not too bad today - will read posts later!
Thanks again Sue for a lovely card - very different!
    Love to all, Myra.

Id love to be buzzing, rather than emotionaly drained today. May share this day with you my friends and family when I feel able.

  154. Hi Sue,
Another great technique to try,I don't know where you get it all from but keep going!!! I like the scroll idea its on the list to try. Does it matter what size you cut the cross then roll back? Suppose it depends on the size of you sentiment or focal point.
Think I have just answered ny own question!

  167. Hi Sue
Wow, this card looks fantastic. I shall have to watch the video tomorrow, as we have just arrived back from Gt Oakley which is near Harwich. We took our 2nd oldest grand daughter down to see some friends of ours. She last went down 6 yrs ago when she and her elder sister came down with us and stayed a week with them Bet was 83 today so we went for a surprise visit. Sophie had been wanting to go down for the last 2yrs. It was a round trip of over 300 miles, but well worth it to see her face when we walked in.

  169. The scrolls look so effective. I've tried a single one before and it ended up in the bin as I'm not very good with a craft knife, but perhaps its time I tried again. Loved the video.
