  12. Hi Sue

Yesterday my Berkeley dog was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Over the last week she has lost her sight , and about 70% use of her legs and with every day she remembers us less. So I am going to bow out for a while as we have a very difficult decision to make, when to say our goodbye's.

I would just like say a big Thank You all you lovely friends that have sent me and my Berkeley dog Love and Hugs on my email and on my blog and on Sue's blog, they have meant so much to us.
    With Love and Kind regards

  33. GM Sue - great video, card and EL4 - a fave! Please can you comment somewhere sometime on your use of white mounting foam - you always use this and never black which I would have thought would have been better than white on say the black frame in this card? - but what do I know?!! There's most probably a very obvious reason why you always use white but for the life of me I can't see it!

Best wishes to Tina at this difficult time - been there, done that - it's a terrible decision to have to make but you will know when it's time to say GB to Berkeley.

I will watch the video later I still can't leave comments so will comment on here. I love the opulence if today's card, I watched the tool she'd show I recorded and agree with all yesterday's comments about Debbie she certainly let you shine. Your samples and demos were fabulous (noticed a few sneaky peeks lol). I particularly loved your tip about sticking vellum, it's a problem I've struggled with for years. I usually stick a topper over where I put the glue or use brads.
Tina I am so sorry to hear about Berkely dog you know how to get in touch sending you both a massive hug.

  80. Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
What a truly opulent card Sue that you have made today, all i could never afford to buy such an extravagant card beauty. The champagne crushed silky ribbon is such a lovely soft shade of gold. Will try the felt flower later i think as i now have some of the blossom felt.

Tina, i don't know what to say as nothing will ease the pain you are going through at the moment. It is heartbreaking seeing them struggle so hard, and yet, i think a part of all of us is that wee bit selfish in wanting them to stay because we just can't comprehend our life going on without our beloved babies. My 4 paws is little sister to my son and daughter which sounds so stupid, but that is how it is in my home. She is the youngest of my children even though she has 4 feet/paws and i get just as upset when she is not well as i do when the others are ill. All i can say is my love, hugs, and thoughts are with you. I would give you a big cuddle in person if i could, but since i can't please know that we are all thinking of you and poor wee Berkeley.
Steph, you will never replace your last baby 4 paws as each have their own place in our heart and memories and it is there that we keep them alive. As long as they are kept alive by us where it matters, they will never be gone. Your new little Diva will never be a replacement, but she will bring her own love when you are ready, just give her a chance when you feel a bit more able. She brings her own little personality, her little ways and character and she is just waiting for a chance to prove to someone that she is worth taking a chance on. Your daughter had your happiness in her heart when she picked little Miss Diva for you, and to be loved so much by someone else like that is worth more than anything else in the world i reckon.
Thank you to all my super friends here on the blog that think of me as i go through my day to day struggle with me. I so much appreciate the extra thoughts and bursts of energy that you teleport up to me. Can i share the energy around with the others that need it as much, Cameeli please? There is quite a few like me on here that need that we bit extra boost so i shall share it around.
Have a great day everyone and i will hopefully see you all tomorrow,
    Love and crafty hugs

  119. Gppd Morning Sue,

Loving this card, as black and gold is a firm favourite of mine. However, having said that your photos show somewhat of a blue colouring to me so that too could be be another option. Unfortunately I am unable to watch the video until a little later, so in the meantime thank you for sharing this with us and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

  129. Hi Sue. WOW !! Another lovely card today. Definately Opulent and Elegant !! I so love video day !! I love my Elegant labels four dies that I got for Christmas and it is great to see some lovely new idea's on how to use them. I love gold and black together as they are such a great match. I love your bow, felt flower and stick pins too. A really lovely card Sue. Thanks for sharing. Lots of love Tres x x x

Tina, I am so very sorry to hear your dreadfully sad news about your beautiful doggie Berkeley. I cried when I read your comment. I can imagine what you must be going through as I have had the same experience many years ago. It is heartbreaking. But like other people on the blog have said, those feelings will eventually be replaced by many Happy Memories of the time you all spent together. I have two more doggies now and a cat to but they are all getting older and i know what we will all have to go through again when the time comes. I still know that our lives have been transformed and enriched by having our beloved pets and that the good times very much out weigh the bad times. Sending you lots of love and hugs. Thinking of you at this difficult time love Tres x x x

Lancashire Steph, I am so glad that you have welcomed a new little doggie into your family. Cassie sounds like she has had a difficult start in life and I am sure you are the perfect person to give her the love and devotion that she needs. Congratulations to you Steph. I am so pleased for you.

Norah I hope you feel better soon. I myself have so many bad days all the time. Sometimes it really gets you down. I am 41 now and have this nightmare illness for almost nine years. I wish i could make cards more often but have to just be content with what i can do right now. Sending you lots of hugs and love, Tres x x x

Lots of love to all the Willsonettes love Tres x x x
Ps Sue I am looking forward to seeing your video or instructions for the beautiful Roses dies love Tres x x x

  130. Helloooo Sue and fellow Wilsonettes! Brilliant video Sue (as always!) and such a stunning gold and black card. Very rich and a "Gold Opulence" card so aptly named. I'm a bit naive on the Pin Interest so thank you for the details on what to do....will get my husband to do it me thinks! Welcome Cindy to our wonderful family of the Sue Wilsonettes! It's so nice to have so many lovely people here! Who, are not only here to see our Sue's beautiful creations and videos, (and email help in everything you need to know or find!) but also the friendship, spiritual and heartfelt "pick me up" times. Knowing that, although you have never met, you have so many friends that are here to give their love and support to you. Sending lots of rainbows to all of you that need it. Lots of love and hugs to you Tina in this sad time for you. You were so blessed with Berkeley and Berkeley was so blessed with you. The decision that you make or have made will never take away the wonderful memories that you have shared together. She will never leave you....xx Thinking of you hun...

  143. Lovely card Sue, just a little bit dark for me but that could be the way it is showing on my laptop.
Am going to watch video later when I have more time to relax and enjoy it.
Tina so sorry to hear about Berkeley, you have done everything you could for her and have never given up on her. You know when her quality of life is poor that its time to let her go. It is a horrible decision to have to make but it is the right one. I love my little boy to pieces but I will never let him suffer and know I will find the strength when the time comes to make that decision.
We don't have them very long in our lives but I cannot imagine my life without a dog by my side and they are worth all the pain and upset when we lose them.

  144. Tina I am so sorry to hear about Berkeley, we all hoped the news would be better for you and her. Just remember she was so lucky to have such loving owners just as you were lucky to have her. She will fill a little corner of your heart forever.
Steph, Cassie sounds delightful, let her become your new treasure, doesn't mean you will ever forget your other baby but you all deserve as much love and happiness as possible.
Norah, my thoughts are with you every day and Tres too, as are all Wilsonettes who are not well or sad.
Thamk you for heads up Clare W, now got the stamps and the snows.
Big hugs and love to all.

Must share this...Ever since a "friend" turned the card I gave her sideways and commented about the white foam showing, I have been making my own mounting foam to match coloured card (such as black) with funky foam and double sided tape - works a treat. So love the videos - are they all going to be on a DVD one day??? love X
