Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi my crafty friends!  Here is the card up for the giveaway today.  You just need to leave a comment on the blog to be in the drawing (winner to be announced on Saturday's blog) This one is a bit different for me, but it's beautiful in person.  Loads of techniques in it too starting with the background that I have used the fire and ice technique on.  It is a bit brighter as I started with coconut white card, then stamped the Vintage Alphabet Soup stamp using flake and glitter glue.  I then gilded it with Verdigris gilding flakes.  I covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet and then coated it with Iced Snow.  I trimmed and matted it with soft gold card.  I created a larger background for it by selecting a soft striped pattern from my crafty stash.  I then stamped the swirl from the Beaded Elements stamp set by Creative Expressions using a clear Perfect Medium pad.  I dusted it with gold mica powder for a soft subtle look.  I distressed around the edges with my scissors then matted it on soft gold card.  I mounted the alphabet piece on an angle across it.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with Vintage Labels Five then a larger die size for the mat.  I inked through the die with Antique Linen distress ink.  I made a bunch of flowers of all sorts using both felt and gold card and arranged them around the background.  I tied a messy bow out of seam binding and added a jute twine bow too.  I cut several of the swirls from the Jewelled Flourish and Flower set and added them under my flowers.  A trio of pearls in opposite corners and some Pearl PVA glue were added as embellishments.  A final mat of soft gold card completes it.  The finished dimensions are 7" x 8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  50. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes. What a W.O.W to wake up to this Wednesday (Wonder Of Wilson)
I dont have any iced snow, but I sure do have guilding flakes (they dont like me much) they go into a conspiracy with the flake and glitter glue, and go into war with me -.even the mention of their name sends them into a battle cry, I can here them 'plotting' knowing I am thinking of dragging them out today (its like that M&M advert when they are told to get in the bowl) they just get verbal ! I SHALL win over the flakes today !
While I remember, my craft shop has Sue's Cascading heart folder, I read so many of you had been vexed you couldnt find it, so if anyone would like me to get it and post it on Im happy to do so for you (would have to work out payment) as no matter how much I would love to treat one of you beauties, I cant treat myself yet, Im afraid, so, there is the offer. Must skidaddle now as I have a battery of tests today and it takes a while to get ready.
So sending love to you all. Good luck for the giveaway card.
And have a good day (beware the flakes)

    Lancashire Steph xx

  133. Lordy, Sue, this is one helluva card! You say it is a bit different for you and am trying to work out how - is it that you've put the focus panel at a jaunty angle or is it the lack of pricking round the edges? Whatever, it's just gorgeous and who wouldn't want to win it - thank you for the chance. Good luck everyone.
