  8. Good morning Sue
I watched the video first this morning and you've shown us some great techniques. I've used glitter on double sided tape but never gilding flakes so must try that. I love the stamped image that has been gilded and micro beaded it looks so pretty. I always struggle with deciding which is the imboss or deboss side of an embossing folder so thanks for the tip. My favourite tip though was the alcohol ink on the dazzler.

  10. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes. Congratulations Paper junki - I hate you ! No I dont, how could I say that about a fellow crafter and Wilsonette, how lucky you are to be chosen to receive the Wednesday gift from our hero - enjoy : )

Love the card today Sue. Im still finding it hit and miss with the guilding flakes, I got it spot on last week, I was soooo blaze over my acheivement I decided to use it again on another but it got filed under 'B' (bin) so Im a little frightened of it again ! It just looks up at me from its plastic box that I treated it to when I bought it home, I thought if I respect the flake it will respect me, but ohhhh nooo, it just gives me an evil grin and turns into my worst nightmare, so back in my work cupboard under lock and key so it cant escape ! Dam stuff lol still we ALL have flake horror's (right Julia) lol.
So, Im off to watch a pro at work on the video hoping I wont hear a knock on the lounge door only to find my container of flakes sitting there laughing its evil laugh at me !!! Ohhhh dear, preparing for the farmers market/craft fair tomorrow really HAS taken it's toll on me ( still loads more to do today before I can say "Im done") if I could make cards like you Sue Id not be as anxious as I am, all I want is to raise enough to treat myself to a few SB dies, oh well, time will tell ay ?
Every day I tell myself NOT to waffle on, just add your comment, say Hi, and leave, but here I am again, another lonnnnng essay, sorry ladies.
Love, warm hugs and sorry smiles to you all :/

  13. Oh nooooo that crazy woman is back ! Just watched the tutorial and I want to say "thank you Sue" it showed me so much and got my mind buzzing with new vigor regarding the dreaded flakes, but I have a question for you more experianced guilders which I hope you will answer. I have a real game fighting with the adhesive paper, has anyone got a tip how to lay the paper onto your work so it goes down in one go ? Im useless at 'by eye' think I have wonkey eyes lol and I should imagin some of you have had an adhesive wonky emergancy and had to throw work away, so how do YOU get it down straight ? Looking forward to any help that can be offered to me please.
Take care ladies and stay warm.

    A) CUT IT A BIT BIGGER SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY, THEN TRIM TO SIZE OR DIE CUT YOUR SHAPE
    B) PEEL A BIT OF THE BACKING PAPER OFF, GENTLY POSITION IT OVER THE EDGE OF YOUR WORK THEN PEEL BACK FULLY
OR, C) PEEL A SECTION OF BACKING PAPER OFF WHOLE A4 ADHESIVE SHEET, LAY YOUR WORK ONTO IT AND CUT AROUND, AND YOU STILL HAVE THE REST OF THE WHOLE SHEET TO USE
    D) DON'T WORRY, WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES!

Thank you for today's gift - I absolutely love these square dies - I have used them on all of my Christmas cards this year and they are gorgeous background dies and look even better when embossed. Gilding is always a favourite although I have not tried them yet I really must get round to it.

Well what can I say, first I would just like to say how lovely you looked in your Red Top! Your Video today was Awesome as always.
The Card you brought to us today is "Truly Amazing"
I can't begin to thank you enough of every thing you do! I love all Techniques that you have used in today's Card, I really love Gilding Flakes, yes they go everywhere but well worth it I place mine in A5 tubs the same as my Awesome Micro Beads, I really love your Sea Garden Embossing Folder I really liked how you placed sticky tape around the edge of your Card then placed Gilding Flake on, then placed onto your matted background and the flower stamp from JustRite I think my problem has been when using the Flake and glitter glue I don't use it straight away once on my stamp, or press to firm and it tears my work, I love how you Gilded the flower then used the outstanding Micro Beads, and then changing the colour of your embellishment to suit your work Congratulations to Paperjunki for winning
Wednesday Card I'm sure you'll be thrilled, love from Sam x

  33. Hi Sue,
Just the card for a chilly morning. It's lovely.
Just yesterday I used double sided tape for a gilded frame, but didn't extend the tape beyond the card to make sure that there are no gaps. So much easier the way you showed us!
I haven't used the flake and glitter glue yet,but will have to bite the bullet soon (when it comes to the Xmas cards for special persons).
    Beautiful card, I love it.

Stunning is the operative word for today's card. It is so beautiful with the gilded flake border and Sea Garden embossing which just adds that wee bit extra highlight. And then for the main attraction it just looks so opulent with both the gilded flakes and the micro beads.
I would keep that beautiful die cut backing to use again and i can believe you threw away gilding flakes, oh Sue.

  98. Sue, this is just gorgeous! I love how you have done the gilding flakes around the edge and on the stamped flower as well for the middle focal. The micro beads just add a lovely bit of texture. I have done this (in the negative aperture die of a snowflake. On one card I did one snowflake in gold flakes, one in the peacock flakes, one in the copper flakes and the last one was glitter card, with added pearls in the middle of each one. I didn't know how it would turn out but it ended up being a bit of alright! Lol! At the moment having a bit of trouble watching the video, both here and on YouTube. It keeps stopping about 20 seconds into it? Don't know if I have done something because it seems everybody else has seen it ok and I've never had this blip before. I've probably done something knowing me! Anyway, congratulations Paperjunkie! you'll love it when it comes....it will be a wow! wow! wow! day, week, month, year!
