Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi crafters!  Well it seems like most of you would definitely like to see a weekly card giveaway feature.  Ask and you shall receive as they say! LOL   Here's how it will work, leave a comment on the blog to be entered in the drawing.  I will announce the winner's name on the Saturday morning blog post.  The card today started with a piece of decorative paper from my stash.  I covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet, then clear micro beads for texture.  I used a piece of white frilly edged ribbon and wrapped it around the bottom portion of the card and attached the ends to the back.  I added a double bow with a sticky glue dot and finished the bow with a pearl button embellishment.  For my focal element, I cut four of the Ornamental Add On die from Heartfelt Creations in coconut white card.  I used these as the lacy pieces sticking out from under my Marvellous Squares die cut in white.  I used the inner dies from that set and cut a thin frame out of soft gold card.  I stamped my sentiment (from Heartfelt Creations) and embossed it with gold powder and glued my frame on the diagonal around it.  I added some flatback pearls around the frame and in the corners of the card.  I finished the card with a double white pierced mat to frame it.  Finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 8 1/2" in size.  Leave me a comment if you would like a chance to win today's card!  All for now, Sue x

  159. Hi Sue

I love the beaded backing paper and the soft gold card, the whole look of the card is really very elegant.

Look at the time, and just look how many comments you have already. I think it's going to be very competitive for your Wednesday Winner.

    Kind regards :-)

  164. What a fabulous card Sue! I'm just about to embark on my christmas card making mathathon and have today got the boxes of card blanks and bits left over from last (and previous)years out of store to join it with all that crafty stuff (mostly Spellbinders) I've added to my crafty stash this year.

This card you have created is such a masterpiece I hope you don't mind if I try it out myself.

Craftihappiness to you, love from Pearl
